I wanted a pair of quality, lightweight binoculars that I could carry with me at all times. These certainly fit the bill on all counts. I bought the red ones because at the time of purchase they were heavily discounted. I was a bit worried by what they might look like but actually they are fine and a bit of a change from the normal black or green.Optically the quality seems really very good with no appreciable chromatic aberration (coloured fringing along the edges of objects viewed against a light background). The image is also nice and bright. Getting a comfortable viewing position is achieved easily by moving the lens barrels to fit your eye position. Overall,I really cannot fault them optically. They are also extremely light coming in at slightly less than 200g and so adding them to the stuff in my rucksack makes very little difference to the overall weight. For me they are just about perfect. The only thing I would add is that they are very small and neat so if you have large hands they may be a bit fiddly. As a 5'9" male with medium sized hands they are fine but my son, who has a bigger build than me, found them a wee bit awkward.

These binoculars are compact and light. They are easy to adjust and produce a large, bright and clear image. I was surprised at just how bright the image was considering how small they are. The focus wheel is easy to adjust and finding the correct focus point is easy. The dioptre adjustment on the right-hand eyepiece is a little stiff but this is something you will only need to adjust once. Unlike many other binoculars which have fold-down or pull-up eyecups, these have no eyecups at all. You will need to hold them about 1cm from your eyes to get the best view. They are supplied with a draw-string bag and a small wrist-strap. The wrist-strap was well hidden within folds of cardboard packaging so be careful not to accidentally throw the strap away.Overall I am very pleased with them. Eyecups can help reduce reflections in the eyepieces, so because of this and the awkward wrist-strap (neck strap would have been better) I have docked 1 star.
