I have been running for 45 years. I have run the equivalent of 3 times around the world. 15 marathons and many shorter races. I have tried all brands of shoes. This is my advice. New Balance are the best shoes made and at a decent price. I buy trail running, even when I run in flat surfaces most of the times, because I have found that they last 3 times as long as regular shoes. In addition NB shoes are made in the USA, which gives them an additional level of quality. The worst shoes for the money, are Nike. Which I paid more than NB and gave me blisters in my feet. The second best shoes, very close to NB are Asics. And Brooks come in third place.

I have to admit, I buy a ton of hiking shoes and boots because I wear them out fast. I usually look for a decent price and stock up. I bought two of these Nitrels. They have become my favorite day hiking shoe to date. I wear size 15.5 which is never available. So I have to decide to either go big or go small. These I went with the 15's. They were somewhat snug but after about 30 miles they molded nicely to my feet. So they do give a bit with time. Some shoes and boots don't at all. For the money these are a great value.

When it comes to running shoes, I tend to wear out the tops before the bottom. The lace holes tend to tear through near the top for me. I like to lace my shoes tight when I run or jog. This shoe seems to be good overall, but the lace holes seem too close to the edge and that worries me.Color is good. Fit is good. First jog/run was good, shoe seems stable. I bough some elastic laces - thingking the estra give might keep the laces from tearing out.

This is my fourth pair of nitrile’s. It’s perfectly balanced for running while still providing support for trail and hiking events. I just threw away one pair that I bought in early 2018 so I got almost 2 years out of the shoes and that’s even with washing them in the washing machine which should destroy the soul and arch but they last a long long time. Perfect balance between good quality shoe yet not too expensive!

I use these primarily for hiking and trail running in the redwoods near my house three times a week. I use super feet inserts in them for arch support. Great traction, very light shoe, ventilation is so so on hotter days and the shoe broke in rapidly. The tread material does not seem dense so i try to limit walking off trail with them. We'll see how long they last but for $28 I have no complaints.

These shoes are great. They're comfortable, fit true to size, and are built pretty rugged. I've worn these for almost a year in the gym, doing work outside around the house, and just day to day. I've ran in them a little on dirt and gravel and they were great. They have a nice rubber toe rand. They'd be great for light hiking as well. I'll definitely buy another pair if these ever wear out.

I have been using this shoe for running and walking for more than a month now. Great shoe - love the stability and the cushion support. I run around 5 miles several days a week on trails and roads.The show seemed a bit too tight - but I wear with thinner socks now. Also the shoe has expanded a bit to fit my feet I think. either way, the tight fit doesn't seem to bother me as such.

I snatched these up on Amazon on sale and have thoroughly enjoyed these shoes. I have tried Asics, and wasn’t impressed compared to these. Additionally, these beat out the New Balance cross-trainers that I had previously used. These are a lightweight trail shoe that has a nice tread on the bottom. All-in-all, will buy again when my current pair wears out if I can snag a deal.

Just got these. They fit snug (in a good way). They are comfortable but not too soft inside. I guess the better word would be firm, a comfortable firm. Give appropriate support when running. They look good. The tread on them gives good grip on dirt, treadmill, concrete, pavement, and pretty much everything else.

I ordered a pair of these for my 11 year old son. He is very rough on shoes and they normally fall apart before he has a chance to outgrow them. We are 5 months in on him wearing these shoes and they are still in great shape! I will be looking to find the next size up for him in this style again.

Since the pandemic my wife and I have walked every morning in neighborhood, lots of asphalt and concrete. I was getting foot pains from my adidas and needed something that provided greater comfort. I noticed the difference immediately and will likely buy another when this wears out.

Second pair of these, they last me about 5 months. I beat these up on a rock filled trail 6 days a week, 5 mile trail run. Definitely worth the money, not a pavement running shoe. They protect my toes and heals, without the extra protection I would have broken toes.

The shoes seem to fit OK and were comfortable. Not really able to say how they wear because that hasn't happened yet. Certainly can't complaint about anything other than the shoe looks a little dull, but that's not really a problem. So far so good!

I take a size 10w on most shoes. I opened the box, put them on my feet and the 10w fit perfectly. Did five miles on day one. Today is day 2. I put another three miles on them and still comfortable.Will try to post an update if anything changes

I bought this as a trail running shoe, it’s great for the purpose it serves. I’ve taken them on the road but it doesn’t feel as great as it does on dirt or in the grass. They are extremely comfortable and fit as expected for a new balance shoe.
