Hasbro have tried something very interesting with this Nerf gun, and I reckon they are one or two more guns away from something pretty spectacular. I gave the RevReaper to my son to try and he enjoyed it, the RevReaper whirring happly away with each shot, but it didn't seem to really capture his imagination. Then I had a go. I aimed down my garden at my shed (which I use as a useful range benchmark to see whether darts can reach the shed or not) and let rip a dart. Two noteable things happened: Firstly, there was an alarming graunching "Clack!" from the keyboard, as the strength of my mighty(?) arms overwhelmed the gears. Secondly, the dart shot over my shed and disappeared into the beyond.Suitably alarmed by my first shot, I let loose a more cautios second, which hit the shed. Then tried a more agressive third, and got a slight "Clack!" from the gearbox again. Once I got the hang of how much force I could use, I found the RevReaper is among the more powerful Nerf performers, allowing rapid fire without jamming. The accuracy of the RevReaper is hard to ascertain and will definitely improve with some practice, but obviously sniping is going to be a difficult proposition. At around 17.5" (44cm) long, and 15" (38cm) high with the magazine fitted, it's medium-sized but a somewhat unnatural shape for a Nerf gun. There's a red tinted window to allow you to see the gears whizzing round, and a generous port on the side to remove jams, which I haven't had to use as the RevReaper hasn't jammed yet. The draw-stroke of the front power grip is just 7cm, so it's fine for kids or adults, but those gears do occasionally slip under heavy use with a worrying clack.I really like the RevReaper, but I fear for the life of gearbox when exposed to vigorous play. However, the potential for either Hasbro or modders to improve the RevReaper's gearbox is substantial, and with a beefier gearbox, the RevReaper would be really something impressive. The thought of a "Mega" variant of the RevReaper with a strong gearbox is a very appealing prospect. Until then, the RevReaper is an interesting and fun development from the battery powered Nerfs and offers reasonable value for money.

This Nerf gun is part of their Z-Strike range, as such it has a zombie apocalypse theme to the styling. It's supposed to look like it has been cobbled together from different found parts. The theme doesn't add any special features to the gun and is merely aesthetic. My son already has two Nerf products, this particular one is a lot more fun than the others as it allows a rapid fire action. As usual the energy to fire the darts comes from manual action; in this case it's by sliding a handle on the barrel back. You can get quite a rate of fire, letting off all the darts in two or three seconds. It does lose accuracy because of the way the darts are fired but makes up for it with rate of fire.Unfortunately the darts can occasionally jam but are easy to dislodge, thanks to a small flap that lifts in the side. The darts are loaded first, into a spring-loaded magazine; these are standard darts but with a vivid green colour scheme. If you've got the darts handy, it can be loaded relatively quickly. Unfortunately, like most Nerf products, you only get one full load of darts, which is a shame as they are easily lost. You will need a bit of decent space in an area without any easily broken objects and the darts can fly quite far.

This Nerf E0311EU4 Zombie Strike Rev Reaper is lightweight, small and compact, easy to use for the smaller Nerf assassin. This is an alternative to the motorised battery powdered Nerf guns, it works by a ratchet system with a fly wheel. Pump the forward slide handle and the Nerf darts fly out in seconds. There is no trigger to pull, instead it’s is all down to the front sliding handle. It reminds me of those toy cars that you can push along the floor to wind up the motor and then let go as they speed off. There is a top loading magazine making it a fast fire room clearer. It takes seconds to empty the magazine and is the perfect close quarters weapon. While not particularly accurate this Nerf more than makes up for it by close quarters rapid fire.Any darts that jam the system can be easily removed by opening a small side hatch. The fake chain on the rear grip doesn't feel particularly robust, it's also a bit redundant because there is no trigger to protect. Might be worth removing.Pros: Fast fire rate, light weight and compact.Cons: Magazine holds 10 darts.

The power is in your hands with this one. There is no trigger, speed and strength of the shot are controlled by pumping on the front grip. You can go as fast and as hard as you want. When you pull the handle back it flies the wheels around. When you push forwards the bullet gets released. So great news, no batteries needed.Another cool thing on this Nerf gun is that they haven't changed the magazine feed. You can take a magazine from other guns in the range and fill up your ammo vest ready for the zombie invasion. It's maybe not as accurate as some of the other guns but it can put out a LOT of rounds very quickly at short range.

This is nuts! A far cry from the cheaper Nerf guns we've bought in the past, this one sends bullets whizzing out at high speed, with crazy automation inside and no real skill required. It's loud, fast and effective, great for kids whose only goal in life is to shoot their parents repeatedly with Nerf bullets. The cons are the volume and the lack of real control over proceedings. I think younger children will love this one, and older children might love the look of it but might prefer something with more control and finesse. But I could be wrong. My 9 and 7-year old children both loved it.

The Zombie Strike series represent the "very much a toy" end of the NERF range and the RevReaper is no exception. The 10 NERF bullets in the clip can be fired really quickly with the pump-action trigger/firing mechanism accompanied by a noisy sound effect. The range is fairly low compared to top-end NERF guns, and precise aiming is fairly difficult given the physical way the gun is fired. All that said, like the rest of the NERF series it's a solidly-built, robust toy and ideal for the younger NERF-fan. Definitely good value at the current Amazon price (just under £25).

Great fun for Zombie hunting kids. Check the age recommendations and safety recommendations before purchasing. This is a really fun toy that will give kids a lot of action playtime. You'll probably want to purchase another set or so of the bullets to get the most out of this. The NERF Zombie Strike RevReaper is a pump-action gin so doesn't use a trigger. It's therefore not the most accurate NERF, but is fun to play with. Construction seems up to the usual Hasbro quality. Great looks. Good fun.

This is lots of NERF based fun. We like it loads because...- easy to load- no need to pull back a spring action like on most other Nerf toys- easy to use/fire front handle pump action- looks cool- the visible mechanism is a nice touch- no batteries needed- feels quite sturdy- goes a decent distance but doesn't to hurt much if hitHowever...- it is quite noisy when being fired- its' rapid fire action means you will need to stock up to replace ammoSuper fun overall!

A bit hit, literally and figuratively, with my son, who loves firing a rapid volley of bullets at his nearest and dearest. It has been a great success. My son's one criticism is that the holder should be at underneath the gun rather than on top, as this obscures his vision a little while aiming. However, overall he's very pleased and uses it more than the rest of us would like!

Another good gun from Nerf. My son loves their guns and he has shooting birthday parties where his friends play Nerf shooting games outside. This gun comes with extra bullets so that you can load the gun clip. I would recommend that you buy extra bullets say about another 20 bullets. It makes a great present for birthdays or Christmas.

Amazed by the dart speed with such a short wind-up. The top speed I managed to reach seems faster than most stock nerf that shoot darts. Lots of fun to vary at lower speeds so that you can lob the dart onto targets. The blaster is really loud at faster speeds but I see it as part of the fun. I hope the gears survive the hard revving!

Not battery operated pump action multi-spray machine gun type nerf nirvana. Heartily recommend - don't expect accuracy this is for suppressing fire and is great as such. Kids will love it, and this big kid does for sure. Def one to include as part of the overall Nerf arsenal..

This is a very good Nerf Gun. I have no idea how many we’ve had over the years, but this is right at the top.Noisy, fast shooting and stings a bit when it hits a human target. What more do you want?5 Stars.
