I have been using the 5K for almost 10 years now. For many of those years I lived in sweatshorts in the summer and sweatpants in the summer and so wore the 5k all day every day. It is comfortable and adequate for essentials. I wrote this review as I just bought another one. I try to keep two around so that when one goes there is another to take its place. Of, course with everyday wear they are not going to last so long, but the practicality and comfort level keep me coming back. Also it is nearly invisible beneath clothes. I wore one when traveling in rural Mindanao a few years ago and the pickpockets had a problem figuring out where the goods really were. One young boy trying to sell me trinkets inadvertantly brushed against it against above my jeans shorts and I could see his eyes light up for a millisecond. So when the bus went on my new seatmate bore scrutiny. It was rather comical to watch him as I pretended to look out the window and he put his far hand under his shirt and slowly worked it across to my side and towards the 5K where the boy had undoubtedly told him it was. When he finally got the opposing hand across to within a few inches I turned and looked at him in the eyes for a few seconds, the hand worked its way back, a little more rapidly this time and he got off at the next stop.

This running belt is awesome. Just enough stretch without too much. Great size and feel. Easy adjustment. Last "forever"... If you are looking for the "Ford Truck" (dependable, reliable, functional) of running belts this is it. I've bought fancier, and costlier, and they all take a back seat to this model. Made in the US , the last one I got. I have two 5K packs and two of an an older yet larger model called the 10K (which sadly I do not see coming up on the latest search). The only problem I've ever had with these is a slight tear in the neoprene after 11 years of running and washing machines. It was easily sewn. The only reason I needed a second was to leave it in the car when I forget the first one.You can shift it up,and it stays, you can wear it low and it stays. It is a shame the company has to make so many other models for the consumer culture. They nailed it with this design!PS I did see someone complain that it was a little small for all their stuff. It can hold an iPod and flip phone, but its tight, If you want to bring a lot of stuff, see if you can find the NATHAN 10K running belt, you may luck out.

I use an app on my phone that tracks my distance and speed and needed something large enough to carry my Droid Bionic in but not so large that it bounced around or looked silly. I also wanted to be able to easily remove the phone to check stats etc. This fits the bill perfectly! It is just large enough for my phone, keys and earphones, and has a enough stretch that it fits snugly with no bounce! It seems sturdy and well made. The pouch itself is very soft and the zipper is on the outside of the opening, so no scratching the phone putting it in and out. I do wish it had an earbud access hole, but I just leave the zipper slightly open at the end and thread the cord through that... works fine.I was hesitant to spend $20 on a glorified fanny pack, but this is so much nicer and a whole lot more stylish! Well worth the dough!ps. Others have mentioned the extra length of strap flopping, and I did find this to be irritating, so I looped the strap back on itself on one side and used the other for adjustment. This left me with only 4-5 inches of extra strap on the adjustment side which I used a rubber band to hold down.

My exboyfriend thinks this is a sexy butt pack, and I have to admit, I do feel like Tomb Raider wearing it.This product is only good if you are not a pack-rat. It will only carry slim or very few objects. I have a bulky blackberry, janitor keys, and an old fashion MP3 player. I struggle to keep it all in here since I try to slam my wallet and lip gloss. Not all of these objects will fit.Ideally, you can fit a phone, tiny wallet, and a few keys. That's it. This item is super slim. When I can, I will upload a photo of what it looks like on the inside. The straps are adjustable. I am pretty thin, I have no problem fitting this on my hips. The material feels like it's made of rubber band...just extra stretchy. It's durable thus far. There is a smaller pocket on the front with a zipper, and the pocket is made of mesh. You can only fit one item in here. I can only place my lip gloss here and nothing else.Regardless, this product is amazing for what it is, and for it's main function, which is to carry minimal items. Kudos.

While fanny packs are apparently now a fashion no-no, I still occasionally need to carry things with me when I am running. For example, I sometimes carry a phone when I am expecting an early morning call I need to take. For years, I had been using an old, small fanny-pack, but time had taken its toll. So I needed a replacement. I decided to try this pack, since it is supposed to be designed for running. After trying it, I found I liked it much more than the old pack. First, it "grips" onto its contents-so, for example, the phone does not bounce around so much. Second, it is compact and does not look like the old-style fanny pack. It also fits better and is less inclined to travel around my waist. As some reviewers have noted, the belt is a bit long. But, this can be rectified by a trim. I do understand why the belt is long-Americans have bigger waists these days, so products need to accommodate this expansion.

This is a great waist pack. It works great when I workout and carries everything that I need. What they DON'T tell you is that the smaller zipper on the outside is only about 1-1.5" high, so the only thing you're going to fit in that zipper is a very SMALL keyring without many keys, your chapstick, or some other relatively small item.I bought this pack specifically because it had 2 separate pockets and I would be able to separate my keys from my cell phone screen and they wouldn't bounce or rub together as I move. My keys don't actually fit into this pocket. The other thing that could be better about this pack is that it is advertised as having reflectors on it.Don't be fooled - the reflective pieces of the pack are the two circles on the sides. I thought the Nathan's logo right on the back would be reflective but it is NOT.Otherwise this pack would have earned a 5-star review!

I love this pack. For running, it is honestly a bit large. I have to strap it tight. Perhaps good for an inhaler? But I can fit my camera into my new Fuel Belt so I don't use this much for running anymore... I don't have much to carry. However, this is an awesome safety travel wallet. *Cue the odd looks*. When I went to Thailand and Peru, I first bought an around the neck wallet so that my things would be safe, but then I was worried about how completely obvious it was under my shirt and you could see it hanging around my neck. I looked like the idiot tourist. Then I remember this pack that I have. It fits my passport and cash and I strap it invisibly around my upper torso. It is comfortable enough to sleep in because it is soft and flexible, so when camping in the middle of Cuzco, I didn't have to worry about someone getting my stuff from my bag. It was right on me.

I am not a runner, I just walk. But I still need something to keep my essentials; based on reviews I ordered this pack, expecting it to be somewhat bulgy and awkward. It exceeded my expectations in every way! First of all, it doesn't look or feel at all like a fanny pack, it's slick and slim, can go beneath your shirt and you can barely feel it's there. Second, it stretches and can accommodate quite an array of essentials: my smart phone, ear buds, bulky pack of keys, several cards, some tissues...My waist is about 30 inches, so there was some extra length of strap; I just reversed the straps and shortened them (no need for thread and needle, I "sealed" the cut using a lighter)and now it fits perfectly. As sleek as this pack is, it's very good quality and sturdy, I expect it to last a very, very long time.

Pros: I can fit my smartphone (Droid Razr) in it with my keys and license with room for doggy pick-up bags and chapstick in the front pocket; I can use headphones with my phone if I choose to by leaving the zipper open slightly; the material is soft and not irritating to my skin while I run; the pack does not bounce if I can wear it around my hipsCons: The strap is too long, even when completely tightened. I have to wear the pack around my hips (38") instead of up more around my waist (27") and, as you can see, I am not particularly small in either area. If you are much smaller than this the pack may bounce around a bit on you.I have to adjust it about 3x when I first start running then it will hit a sweet spot and stay put.

I purchased this to replace a larger waist pack and this smaller one is just the right size for me. It can hold my iPhone which has a regular size case on it, a couple of keys that I need and still has room for a couple other small items such as a small energy bar (if you need one), some cash or small (very small) wallet. I have another Nathan waist pack which can hold a water bottle for long runs but this one is great for 3-5 mile runs where I don't necessary need to carry water all the time.It fits great and does not move around much at all. I have a 32 waist and I just take up the extra slack in the band by looping it back around through the holes a couple times so it doesn't flop around - simple, easy, effective.

I like how this keeps my iPhone 5S secure during my runs. I do wish it had a small port to pass my headphone cable through, but I just don't zip it fully and that works find.Pretty comfortable to wear, but the excess belt on the right side (that you pull towards your front to cinch it tighter), is a bit floppy. I wish there was an additional elastic band to tuck the excess belt into.I run iin AZ. So sweat is, well, you sweat a lot. -1 star because sweat permeates the pouch and my iPhone is wet after my runs. I keep my iPhone in a good case, so I don't expect the moisture to be a problem, but I wish it didn't let so much wetness in. If you had cash or notes, they would be pretty gross and soaked after your run.

I purchased this belt along with a different belt from another company to use as a fuel belt for a Tough Mudder. I personally LOVED the size of the pouch it was large enough to fit everything we needed (clif bars and bloks) and it still layed flat against your body. The reflectors were awesome for someone who runs. The only downside for me was the length of the belt. My waist is not too tiny (30 inch) but I really had to pull the belt strap tight for it to fit and then there was excessive slack hanging from the belt. My husband ended up using it since he is a little bigger and it worked great for him.We pressure washed it and threw it in the washing machine after our mud run and it looks brand new.

I know it says 5k but i used it for a half marathon with no issues. Most ppl would check their stuff in but i like to keep some knick knacks with me. I had carried my phone (samsung galaxy 2), runners goop, about 3 packs, runners bean, and my ID, room key, credit card and cash. Had no problems with it jostling while running. Although it does ride up (naturally) when you run but it was never uncomfortable and i never really nocticed. Only con is the strap is very long. I had to cut the strap down to keep it from flopping. Easy fix just cut to desired length and then burn the frays. Material is soft and durable, not sure if its water proof material but my stuff wasnt wet from the sweat.

I had been looking for an armband for my IPhone 4 but in addition to not being able to find one small enough for a woman's arm, I also started to think it was a bit dumb displaying a $500+ piece of equipment out in plain sight. I prefer not to be mugged. It was hard to tell from the picture whether or not this would be big enough to fit my phone, but in actuality, it is a little roomy. There is plenty of space for the phone, keys, tissues, chapstick...etc but it's not bulky at all and fits very snugly under a T-shirt. Very comfortable and moisture resistant fabric with quality stitching and enough padding that it doesn't dig in and the phone isn't jostled. Love it!

This works great, will hold a Ruger LCP perfectly and it's light enough not to bounce. Will hold a Sig P938 or P238 as well, though that's a tighter fit and a heavier proposition, so there will be more movement. A snub-nosed revolver (e.g., S&W 642 / 442) is about as big as you can go and that's a very tight fit, but the pack is stretchy and it zips just fine. With any of these options, access isn't super quick (this wasn't designed to be a holster, after all), but for righties the zipper opens to the left so it can be manipulated with the left hand while accessing the firearm with the right. With a little practice, it shouldn't be much of a problem.
