I purchased this bottle because I have gone back to college as an adult student, living off campus, and it is extremely inconvenient to leave the building I am in during my 'lunch' break to get coffee and then return. I tried those Starbucks mocha bottles, but the glass worries me and also due to rural location can't be recycled along with the cans and bottles most students get for their energy drinks and what not. Plus they're very expensive.The Nalgene on the other hand can hold up to several cups of coffee, is shatterproof, and can even safely take hotter beverages if I wished since they reformulated the plastic to be BPA free. I don't personally have much opinion on that,

I bought this narrow mouth 16oz bottle after getting the wide-mouth version and absolutely loving it. I thought this one would be a little easier to drink from in the car. It is easier to drink from, but I expected it to be the same dimensions as the wide mouth version and it is not. It's bigger around and will actually hold more water. The wide mouth bottle will hold 16oz as advertised and not much more. My narrow mouth bottle will easily hold 20oz and it's closer to 22 if you fill it to the brim. The wide-mouth one is about as big around as a coke can so it feels very comfortable to hold and can easily fit in any cup holder. This narrow top one will still fit in the cup holders in my car,

Needed a water bottle that would fit in my lunch cooler and yet hold plenty of water. I looked for a looong time, and finally found this which is perfect.The water bottle is sturdy, and the plastic feels high-quality. It doesn't feel like that brittle plastic that will shatter if you drop it (though I don't plan to test it) and it doesn't feel like bendy plastic that you can practically mold with your fingernails.Plastic straps like the one that holds this cap on typically get on my nerves, and I was planning to cut it off upon its arrival, but when I tried it out I changed my mind. It is long enough that you can just fold it back against the bottle and hold it there as you grip the bottle.

Absolutely LOVE these! my kids go through water bottles like crazy. We have 2 very active boys. We are always out and about. Camping, hiking, sports and any other outdoor activity you can think of. The size is perfect for my 9 and 6 year old. The twist top lid is perfect. I couldn't tell you how many times their other water bottles leaked or popped open in their backpacks. Making a huge mess. Me and my husband have the large 32oz nalgene bottles and we have never had issues with leaks. These are seriously adorable and are very dependable. LOVE love love them! I attatched a photo of the 16oz compared to my 32 oz (keep in mind my 32oz is 3+ years old) Definitely recommend these.

I got this for my 12 year old she wanted her own water bottle, I went with this one because of the reviews. Wanted something that would last at least a couple of months. The price is good, the color selection is good, there are some aftermarket items for these bottles. So it just seemed like the right choice. It looks and feels sturdy it has a good seal. Its not an insulated bottle so it will sweat, there is not a good grip on the bottle like texture or curves. The narrow mouth makes it a little more difficult to clean you will need a brush for it. She was happy with it and so was I with my large mouth 32oz.

Purchased three of these to use instead of constantly buying bottled water. I have had them now for over a year and they look just as they did the day I bought them. The bottles are very sturdy and easy to hold, and I like the smaller opening, which is very similar to the openings in purchased bottled water. I am a very satisfied customer and love that I no longer need to spend money on bottled water. The plastic they now use in bottled water is so flimsy that it makes it difficult to open a bottle without spilling water all over - I do not have that problem with the Nalgene bottles. We have filtered water in our home, so we just refill the Nalgene containers as we use them.

Used this bottle for over a year and have to say it's great! It seriously never leaks so I can just toss it into my backpack without worry. The plastic attached to the cap is great, so I never lose the cap. I like the 1-Pint size since for me it is the perfect amount--a full isn't bottle too heavy and holds enough enough water for my daily trips (school, biking, etc). Unlike aluminum bottles that I was using before this one, this can handle acidic drinks like orange juice and lemonade, and refrigerating it makes for nice cool drinks. The narrow mouth is great for avoiding spills. It is a thick sturdy plastic that is BPA-free and easy to clean. Highly recommended!

I am an upland game hunter, and I carry one of these with water in it for my dog. She recognizes this bottle as "her" bottle of water, and when I pull it out of my jacket, she comes running so that she can slurp the water right out of the bottle. I have one of these for myself also, and placed a sticker on my bottle so I don't accidentally contaminate my dog's water bottle with my own slurp. Washes up in the dishwasher, so long as you put it on a top rack so that the bottle cap doesn't droop down on the heating element (this latter advice given as a result of personal experience). Nalgene bottles - never saw one that I didn't like.

Was looking for a shorter water bottle that holds at least 16oz of water compatible with my Mountainsmith Lumbar Packs, taller smooth bottles have tendency to fall out. I also wanted a product that was NOT MADE IN CHINA. Have a friend that has a horrible experience with drywall from China. If they can't get that chemical free then I am certainly not trusting China with something that holds my drinking water. Despite looking I keep coming back to Nalgene. Great quality and lasts. I purchased the Woodsman color and its working perfectly. My only complaint is I would've preferred the cap retainer be in tan like the cap verses orange.

I've used this bottle every single day for the past 3 years and it's still in perfect shape. I'm drinking from it now as I write this. It's with me everywhere I go--daily errands, to work, the beach, the hiking trail. It's solid and sturdy and has held up to daily use and abuse. Doesn't give any off flavors to water. It's the perfect size to fit in my bag and I've never had any issues with leaks. The cap/loop is still intact even though I tend to carry it by the loop a lot. I also love that it's USA made. The only bad thing is it doesn't fit my car's cup holders (Honda Fit, ironically) but I'm gonna blame the car for that problem.

The bottled water you buy and throw the empty bottle away did you know that plastic decomposes and you end up drinking a small amount of plastic? Read the current issue of Consumer Reports, the average person consumes (eats, drinks, digests) a credit card size of plastic every week. Plus plastic water bottles are polluting our oceans. This type of plastic doesn't decompose plus reusing it less garbage, less pollution! I trust my city tap water MORE than any bottled water, I know a local bottled water plant in my area takes water from a polluted creek, yea, they said they treat and filter it but how do we know?

Coloris more pink than the picture shows, but I think it looks better than the color shown so no complaints! Arrived fast with free shipping. The bottle itself, the lid, and the "handle" that attaches the two are all very sturdy and great quality. This size is perfect for carrying around in a purse or just keeping around the house. I plan to buy a larger size in the future for extended periods of being out of the house. Can't go wrong with these water bottles.Oh and its a huge plus to me that it's BPA free and dishwasher safe! Great alternative to buying bottled water both cost wise and health wise.

I've been using Nalgene water bottles for many years and have never had a problem. They are truly indestructible. I prefer the narrow mouth to the wide mouth for obvious reasons. It is easier to drink from the narrow mouth on-the-go without spilling water all over yourself. I can pull the narrow mouth bottle out of my mountain bike bottle holder while riding and drink from it easily without spilling it all over the place. I prefer the black cap and smoky bottle color because it matches the rest of my black EDC stuff, but that's just my preference. Buy the bottle. You won't be disappointed.

Nalgene is well respected and safe for fluids that are consumed (no leaching of nasty molecules into the liquid).Size/style/price and color selection at Amazon are good. Follow manufacturer's cleaning instructions, and in a "real dirty" or bad residue condition, you can use an Efferdent "5 minute" tablet. Although the bottle itself is dishwasher safe, the cap can distort if too close to drying element, so load on top rack with cap well out of direct heat stream. Buy several for different needs (morning commute, camping, etc. and (hopefully) save on shipping costs if all from same source.

My 7 year old has had about 3 or 4 different water bottles for school that were a lot more money than this one and all of them have eventually leaked or have been damaged. My wife and i have the 32oz. Nalgene bottles and love them but those would just be too large for her. One day after another bottle started leaking i decided to check Amazon for a replacement and came across this 16oz and finally i have found her one that is practically indestructible and does not leak. She not only uses it for school but she uses it for playing outside, camping & bike riding. PERFECT!
