I am someone who is continually involved in outdoor activity pursuits. Over the years I have had loads of water bottles. Some that leaked, some that didn't. Some that were bpa free, others that weren't. Some that broke, while others didn't, and so on and so forth. This bottle was different though. It had everything I wanted in a bottle. I deliberately picked the half litre size, as I wanted to see what the quality of the bottle was like. I haven't been disappointed, and I will most likely give this bottle to my son for school, and also purchase one 500 ml bottle for my daughter. I will then purchase a 1 litre bottle for myself. I consciously read the reviews online for the 'best quality water bottle'

Most amazing bottle that i've ever had. The 16oz narrow mouth fits in my bottle cage on my bike- it's a plastic one that flexes to allow it to fit. Any rigid bottle cages/ ones that don't allow a slight bit of give, probably won't fit the bottle.The mouth has a very slight bump at the top which makes drinking very very easy and comfortable.As far as i know, the bottle does not leak. I've shaken it around violently and held it upside down and there is not one drop.The plastic is of great quality. I do not intend to throw it around or drop it very much, regardless, it would definitely take quite a beating. I've seen a youtube video where a 32oz one gets dropped off a 2 storey height and survives.

I purchased this bottle because I have gone back to college as an adult student, living off campus, and it is extremely inconvenient to leave the building I am in during my 'lunch' break to get coffee and then return. I tried those Starbucks mocha bottles, but the glass worries me and also due to rural location can't be recycled along with the cans and bottles most students get for their energy drinks and what not. Plus they're very expensive.The Nalgene on the other hand can hold up to several cups of coffee, is shatterproof, and can even safely take hotter beverages if I wished since they reformulated the plastic to be BPA free. I don't personally have much opinion on that,

Great water bottle. I bought two of these for my son to take with him to college. I love that they are made in the USA, not in China. I don't believe that the production of plastic goods in China are monitored or inspected well enough. Too many instances of weird, and sometimes toxic, things being added to plastic goods manufactured in China. With three guys sharing a mini refrigerator in the dorm room, not much room for disposable bottles. And with the college offering water refill stations throughout the campus, these Nalgene bottles just made sense. The only color available at the time was the purple, but my son was actually glad, because he knew with that color his room mates would know they were his.

This is an excellent drinking bottle, that is well constructed, resilient and durable. This is going to last me years. Its an attractive design, and I've received a lot of positive comments about it.At present, I take my bottle to the gym, use it in the house and also use it at my office.It is distinctively marked and simple to see how much liquid is in the container at any one time, so one can see their amount of consumption.Practically speaking, the narrow mouth makes it easier to drink from, yet it is still easy to wash and it dries normally in a dish rack.The bottle doesn't leak, and the strap attached to it, makes it easy to lift the bottle even with a couple of fingers.I've experiened a few drops and bumps with the bottle,

The size of this nalgene bottle is great . I bought this for my wife who likes to carry her water everywhere. The size is great she can carry it in her purse and the size gives her plenty of water if she is out shopping or just going to visit friends. The lid has the attached strap and keeps the lid from being lost now that is a big plus.:)We purchased 2 of this size and we own several nalgene bottles for hiking and camping. We have older Nalgene bottles that we replaced with the BPA free so they are safer and up to date. Thanks Amazon for another great product.:)And a big Plus MADE in the USA! Update, These bottles are great, but, if the water sits in them for more than a day at room temperature,

I jog regularly and always have a bottle of water with me. I end up going through a lot of bottles because they get mouldy or start to taint the water with a disgusting taste (they make them impossible to clean). This bottle has no plastic taste, many i have had have that horrible taste the first time I've used them.Somebody said you need big hands to hold this bottle which is rubbish. I'm a female with small to medium hands and i can comfortably hold it, even if you couldn't it has a very useful loop from the lid to the neck so there really is no problem!The wide neck means its the easiest bottle to clean that i have ever had so it should last a lot longer. However it's such a good bottle (great size)

Absolutely LOVE these! my kids go through water bottles like crazy. We have 2 very active boys. We are always out and about. Camping, hiking, sports and any other outdoor activity you can think of. The size is perfect for my 9 and 6 year old. The twist top lid is perfect. I couldn't tell you how many times their other water bottles leaked or popped open in their backpacks. Making a huge mess. Me and my husband have the large 32oz nalgene bottles and we have never had issues with leaks. These are seriously adorable and are very dependable. LOVE love love them! I attatched a photo of the 16oz compared to my 32 oz (keep in mind my 32oz is 3+ years old) Definitely recommend these.

I got this for my 12 year old she wanted her own water bottle, I went with this one because of the reviews. Wanted something that would last at least a couple of months. The price is good, the color selection is good, there are some aftermarket items for these bottles. So it just seemed like the right choice. It looks and feels sturdy it has a good seal. Its not an insulated bottle so it will sweat, there is not a good grip on the bottle like texture or curves. The narrow mouth makes it a little more difficult to clean you will need a brush for it. She was happy with it and so was I with my large mouth 32oz.

This is the third nalgene bottle I’ve ever bought, the first one, a litre bottle I use every day at home, the second ‘disappeared’ in my house! This is a great size for commuting to stash in a backpack or handbag and the size of the neck means it’s easy to refill at water stations. It’s worth investing in a good bottle brush as it’s not as easy to clean as the wide neck bottles (as is my litre bottle) but it’s still easy to clean and the lid and bottle connecter can be easily removed to wash and reattached. After having my litre bottle for well over half a century, it still doesn’t smell despite often being used for orange dilute drinks. Excellent quality and also worth noting that the caps can be replaced.

This bottle is excellent. It's compact, sturdy, doesn't make the water taste funny, and absolutely does not leak. Nalgene offer a lifetype warranty, too.This will be my second Nalgene bottle- not because I broke the last one, but because I left it on a plane! When I was finished cursing, I immediately hopped online to buy another. They're a bit expensive, but absolutely worth it. They're durable, safe (won't leech nasty things into your water) and reliable.Most of us need to drink more water, so having a good quality reusable bottle is a really useful thing. I bought the last one so that I'd always have water when I got stuck on the train in the summer, and now wouldn't be without!

The best damn bottle I’ve ever had! No leaks (so far) but I defiantly trust this bottle to do the job. Never once has the water tasted funny, and I like the fact that the lid is narrow. Well sized so that it’s not too heavy or large to carry and can be easily refilled of course. I’ve dropped it numerous times and although there’s a few scuffs it doesn’t show any sign of breaking!Even though there’s a lifetime guarantee i’ll still be buying another one for gym use and keep using this one for work!Edit: I’ve had it for a few months, lost it and now have bought another one, and would do again. Could still buy two more with the price of plastic bottles in John Lewis.

Used this bottle for over a year and have to say it's great! It seriously never leaks so I can just toss it into my backpack without worry. The plastic attached to the cap is great, so I never lose the cap. I like the 1-Pint size since for me it is the perfect amount--a full isn't bottle too heavy and holds enough enough water for my daily trips (school, biking, etc). Unlike aluminum bottles that I was using before this one, this can handle acidic drinks like orange juice and lemonade, and refrigerating it makes for nice cool drinks. The narrow mouth is great for avoiding spills. It is a thick sturdy plastic that is BPA-free and easy to clean. Highly recommended!

I love this water bottle. It is perfect for taking anywhere and it will not leak. The only problem I had with it is when I first received it. It had a large round sticker on it that was near impossible to peal off. I did everything I could think of to get it off. I soaked it in warm water, rubbed oil all over it and finally used my fingernails to scrape off the residue from the sticker, hence the four out of five stars. I mean... is it really necessary to put it on the bottle? Why not just a tag with a string around the neck? Aside from spending several hours cleaning the bottle from the nasty sticker, it is perfect. Best water bottle I've ever owned.

I am an upland game hunter, and I carry one of these with water in it for my dog. She recognizes this bottle as "her" bottle of water, and when I pull it out of my jacket, she comes running so that she can slurp the water right out of the bottle. I have one of these for myself also, and placed a sticker on my bottle so I don't accidentally contaminate my dog's water bottle with my own slurp. Washes up in the dishwasher, so long as you put it on a top rack so that the bottle cap doesn't droop down on the heating element (this latter advice given as a result of personal experience). Nalgene bottles - never saw one that I didn't like.
