I absolutely love this scale. I am a baker and I tend to weigh mostly in pounds and ounces, and this scale does that beautifully. The screen detaches and extends from the base and has quite a long cord on it so you can extend it out, which works great for me if I have a big bowl and I can't see the screen when it is attached. Plus it snaps right back into place easy when you are done. The battery life has been excellent on this. However in the description it says free AC adapter included, I did not receive one. I have filed a claim and will let you know how that goes. The company did ship the product really fast though. I read another review about the scale not staying a zero,

The scale is not a superstar but for $29 it can't be beat. The detachable display\controls really make it usable for just about any application. We use them in a harsh environment where they last just about as long as the $300 scales we replaced with this little guy. They get dropped or knocked off just as quickly as the more expensive variety but it hurts a lot less to spend a tenth of the money replacing it. At that price we bough extras just to sit on the shelf for when we do destroy one we just replace it. The little caveat to the whole thing is you have to buy the power cord separate. So it's really $29 plus $8 but on the up side you don't have to replace the power cord when the scale breaks,

I bought this scale to replace the same model that I broke (my fault - I dropped it from about 5 feet) which worked great in a food preparation setting for about a year. It has a nice backlight and a the display is removable which is great for our application. We are able to put the scale down where we prepare the food and put the display up at eye level so the food item doesn't cover the display. You can turn on or off the back light as well as the auto off setting, just look in the manual for instructions. We set it to stay on so we don't have to constantly turn it on but just make sure to turn it off or you'll drain the batteries pretty quick after leaving it on overnight a few times.

I bought this scale to weigh my guinea pig (recommended to help monitor health) and for my postal needs. I have no complaints. It has a high weight capacity so I can weigh my heavy textbooks easily. It can weigh in grams, kilograms, ounces, or pounds and ounces (definite plus). There is a hold button so you can see the weight after you remove a large package that obscures the readout. There are attachments to the scale so you can weigh tubes and letters. Also, the AC adapter was received as promised. I know some of the other listings for the same product had reviews saying the adapter was not received. And last, but not least, the scale is very accurate and consistent.

My first Ultraship 35 just slowly bit the dust, the on-off switch failing and other buttons taking several punches to react. I've had the scale for six years and use it all the time, mostly to weigh cooking ingredients but also envelopes, packages and other items. So, what to do? I'm replacing it with a new one. It arrived and is better than the original. Smoother transitions and slower button times. I use it only with batteries and I don't remember replacing the batteries in the six months it lasted. I got one for my daughter who ships crafts on Etsy and hers is still going strong. Easy to use, durable and I figure it costs about $5 a year. Really good product.

I bought this scale for weighing wood that I have turned green and then checking to see how much of the water it is losing. It works great and I recommend it. It comes with a couple of attachments that are not mentioned as what do do with them. The weird thing is that there is more information on the outside of the box then in the box. The instructions are not very good. Do not throw the box out until you read about the scale on it. The attachments are for weighing letters and envelopes but are not mentioned in the instructions.

That is why I bought it, it does up to 35lbs. while also weighting the small amounts of spices and cures needed. It has a weigh zero which is dang sure nice. So far I love it.I was told that the scale and the power supply were separate, not true here so now I have 2 power supplies. Batteries have lasted forever too!It was recommended to me by a seasoned veteran commercial sausage maker, he definitely knew what he was talking about.

This is very sturdy and offered at a great price. However, be aware, as I was not, that this scale weighs in two gram increments. I use this for soap making and with the oils it is ok to have a little more for purposes of superfatting but when I weigh the lye I have to pull out my old battery scale. I wish I paid a bit more attention to detail because there are competitively priced models out there that weigh items exactly.

The guys downstairs keep stealing the shipping guy's scale - and they end up in bad shape, so we order more. I just ordered three of these, and one cheaper scale. Didn't work out. This was worth SOOO much more than the $8-10 price difference. easy unit set up, easy tare, easy everything. Its cheap enough that I won't waste time looking for a cheaper unit.

This scale works perfectly for me. I am a scrapbooker and a card-maker. I frequently need to weight my homemade cards to make sure I'm using the correct amount of postage. This scale saves me repeated trips to the Post Office and gives me peace of mind that my cards will reach their intendent recipients.

I bought this to weigh my puppies to give the proper dose of dewormer. It works very well on a hard level surface. It is kinda small so once my puppies got some age (8 weeks) on them it was very difficult to use. It worked very well but would look something larger for future puppy needs.

I received my scale today and so far so good. As other reviews has stated, it does not come with the adapter as it states in the product description. It takes 4 "C" batteries or you can buy an adapter which Amazon list below as an option.

It's a great scale but I usually have to buy a new one yearly. Considering the abuse it takes throughout that year, it's a pretty solid product. I just wish all the plastic connectors were a little stronger ..

We have been using these scales for our fishing club for years and the accuracy is awesome! Being able to disconnect the readout part from the actual scale is really nice! Can't beat the price either!

We use this to weigh newborn puppies & monitor their growth. Love the feature it has of being able to put a container on it, then zero out so you can get only th weight of what's in the container.
