Been using this pot with my MSR Dragonfly stove and it has been working perfectly. I was hesitant to get the pot to use with my stove since it is not specifically designed for it. I have been disappointed with the Dragonfly stove efficiency using other cookware and although this pot isn't as efficient as when paired with a Reactor stove, it boosted the efficiency of my Dragonfly significantly. I tested boiling two cups of water across my different cookware, this pot achieved a boil in a little less than 1/2 the time. However, it is still about twice the time needed to boil water compared to running with a reactor stove. One area where this pot isn't best suited is in simmering. It is high efficiency with the finned heat sink at the bottom, so food can easily scorch and burn if not rigorously stirred. Even with the simmer capability of the Dragonfly stove, it is not a great simmering pot. That said, most backpacking meals involve just boiling water for freeze-dried or other similar meals, and this pot works perfectly for that. It could even boil ice cold water in the morning for coffee in no time. All in all, I figure I can pack 1/2 the fuel for my stove using this pot. I'm glad it is offered without the stove so others can take advantage of it.

I love the 1 L reactor for super fast water boiling for coffee or tea or soup or oatmeal in virtually any weather (actually i have not tried it in high winds and pouring rain at the same time). When there are more than 2 of us at the campsite though, 1 L is not enough. This pot takes up more room in my pack but its worth it when you need higher capacity. I was amazed when i first used the system how quickly it heated water and how wind resistant it is. I have not tried any other specialty systems but i have tried the aluminum wind screens etc. and it is far superior to those.Alway in my pack

I like the 2.5L pot as it takes about the same time to heat a larger amount of water as the 1L that I also own. Since I'm usually group camping, it's the right choice for me. It also nests a standard 8oz canister, strike ignitor and canister stand in one nice package. I use a cloth to prevent scratching the interior. For boiling water quickly in all kinds of conditions, the Reactor Stove system is reliable and efficient.

Ordered as an alternative to my GSI tea kettle hoping this design would work well for boiling and cooking. On just a basic MSR pocket rocket at 6,500 elevation it water came to boiling much faster than the tea kettle came to boiling. This works great as a tea kettle and cooking pot. Makes oatmeal and pasta easily at 6,500 feet elevation. It can also act as your dining vessel quite good.

Pot itself is very well made, works as good as 1.7 L, as for size, yes it is 2.7 butbe quick to get it off Reactor when water started boiling. (Otherwise it will spill out).or put 2.5.I found it more useful to not to over throttle Reactor to a max but use small/medium levelinstead to get Reactor glow orange/red.Also you may use this type of pots with other type of gas stoves.

An amazing pot, that works as designed and can fit a mug inside as well. I took a star off because during training in extreme cold weather temps the metal bracket snapped off and the handle can be finnicky. But MSR was great and exchanged it out with a brand new one for free.

Works exactly as intended. Fit my element perfectly. No complaints at all. I think these are priced fairly as well and shipping was lightning fast. I love my Reactor stove. It’s overkill for what I use it for (canoe camping) but it’s awesome and super cool :)

Just as quick to bring water to a boil as the 1 Liter pot, which served me well for the past 3 years. I decided to upgrade as my backpacking outings grew in size.

Love MSR gear, have a number of items. I also have the 2.5l reactor pot for snow melting in the backwoods, got this size for short trips. Great quality.

I upgraded to this from the 1 liter for melting snow on mountaineering expeditions. This pot fits the stove and an 8oz canister of fuel inside of it.

love this camp stove the only problem I had was that everything didnt fit to great in the 1 liter pot. It fits, but its kind of tight.
