Most of my gaming comes at the 2 player count so am always looking for games that are either best with two or are only for two. Mr Jack Pocket caught my attention as it seemed to be a pared down version of the larger board game for two only.Each person takes on the role of either Mr Jack or the Investigator. 9 tiles are laid out in a square on the table to form the city, each one containing a suspect. The game is played over a maximum of 8 rounds and the aim for the investigator is to discover the secret identity of Mr Jack, who in turn tries to keep hidden. To aid (or hinder) either player, there are various action tiles that you can play. These consist of rotating city tiles to obstruct line of sight,

This is a travel version of the great 2 player game 'Mr Jack'. Those familiar with the original will recognise similarities to it, but this is actually a different game. Essentially, there are 9 suspects and 3 detectives to find 'Mr Jack'. Each suspect is on a different tile, and the detectives travel clockwise round the tiles looking to see if Mr Jack is visible or not. When 1 character remains, s/he is guilty. Mr Jack wins either by collecting 6 hourglass tokens or surviving 8 rounds.The box is small enough and durable enough to slip into any luggage or 'pocket'. The components are the same high quality thick card as the original. It plays fun and fast, a game lasts 10-15 minutes and does not take up much play space.

Flippin’ love it. Great expansion to a lovely little game!Basically no rules changes, so easy to get out and get started. This expansion adds new characters, with interesting new powers - but you still play with just 8 characters. You can play with a mix of new and old, or just use your favourites! It also introduces variable set up (rather than just placing the characters as shown in the rules).Net result- same old Mr Jack fun, but an excitingly different puzzle each time you play.Totally recommend.

i had heard of a game called Mr Jack and wanted to buy it and got this thinking it's the pocket version. I've since learned they are not the same at all, but that's my bad for not doing my research. this is a fun game, the package and quality is fine. i'd say it's not very playable for younger kids, maybe 13+ at least, if you want to enjoy the strategising of the game.there was a bit of a learning curve, the instructions were not very clear for me, had to watch youtube videos to get it.

Nice little quick game (10-15mins) for 2 players. Manufacturers recommended age is 14 but played it with 10 year olds and they managed ok. Although not a heavy strategy game, it does throw up some interesting dillemas and makes you think ahead. Good gateway game.Nice material and art work. Comes in a very compact box and doesnt waste any space (as so many games do to try and seem bigger and more alluring)

Really fun asymmetrical 2-player game. Rules are simple, but game play is really tense and fun! Board and cards (tiles) are thick and chunky and look great on the table.

Tons of replay-ability, very fast to learn and explain how to play, it's quick to play and very fun! Highly recommend this game.
