Having used several monitors over the last few years, we settled on a BT model which performed well and did a good job for us. Now no monitor i have used is perfect, each has its downsides and upsides, this Motorola monitor again has its ups and downs but remains one of my favourites.The box contains the control unit which features the screen and controls for the camera, the camera itself, the fantastic multi grip and 2 power plugs, as well as some documents. Now the monitor has a charge warning, telling you to charge it for 16 hours before using for the first time, this means charge it for 16 hours and not turn it on!.Now the control panel itself features 8 buttons on the front,4 either side of the screen which control the viewing direction of the camera, the microphone, ok button and options buttons. The unit is slightly curved which looks nice, the back features a nice kick stand although it doesn't feel completely convincing when in use. The top has a volume rocker and power button. The control unit is quite responsive and fast, some other units have real lag when trying to navigate menu's etc but this doesn't feel so bad. Navigating menu's is easy enough and setting it up from the initial start up is easy.The camera unit itself is lightweight and looks nicely designed. It features the globe like camera sat upon a rounded base with the temperature antenna sticking out the back. The unit can be used powered or charged and unplugged. Unplugged it lasts about 3 hours, which at first i thought was a bit pointless but then when i thought about it, it's quite useful if your visiting someone and your little one will be napping at some point for a short time, taking this along minus the cables is quite appealing.Now i have seen some complaints regarding night vision, during the day the image is crystal clear and looks great, when in night vision the quality will drop a but it's expected, you will not get stunning results like a BBC wildlife documentary so don't get your hopes up. The nursery room has black out blinds so once our little ones are in bed, its completely dark in there and the camera works a treat, we can easily see both kids, obviously you will struggle to make out their facial expressions from a certain distance away but it is still more than acceptable. Also when you set it up, make sure you remove the clear film from the lens, just in case you forget and wonder why the image is blurry (wouldn't put it passed a few people to miss this)The camera can be mounted via the great multi purpose grip, at first i was a bit sceptical about it but it work's really well and held the camera in place.Overall i'm impressed. It's well made, looks great and works really well. The price tag is high but iv'e paid similar prices for lesser capable camera's.

This is a slightly higher tech version of the baby monitors which used to exist, which were effectively two plugs, one of which contained a microphone and the other a speaker. This particular baby monitor has taken it a step further, through the addition of a camera and a screen, so that now you can not only hear your baby but see it too.As far as the features go, these are generally pretty good, for the following reasons:- The camera and screen quality is fairly good, meaning that you can clearly see what is going on in your baby's room,- The camera can be rotated remotely from the control panel, so that there is no need to worry if your baby moves about.The camera rotates through about 90 degrees in the vertical axis and about 300 degrees in the horizontal axis,- If you need to, you can play a few present sounds to your baby, accessed remotely via the control panel. This sounds include, waves, wind chimes and a lullaby. You can also talk to you baby through the control panel,- The temperature of your baby's room can be displayed on the control panel in Celsius or Fahrenheit,- The camera can be zoomed in, albeit, only to x2 magnification, so not hugely.Both the camera and the control panel are portable and so can be moved around to wherever they are needed and given they both contain batteries, a power supply is not required at all times. The batteries in the camera and the control panel are designed to last 3 hours and 5 hours respectively and both of these seem to be achievable.As far as baby monitors go, it seems that the addition of a camera and monitor is a no-brainer and therefore, makes this a great product on its own. The flexibility and quality i.e the ability to rotate the camera, inclusion of batteries in both units etc, means that, in my opinion, it is virtually a must have for any parent.

I have tried several monitors in the past and have come to the conclusion that so far none is perfect. There are often issues with interference from phones, other peoples' wifi, leads, night vision and screens going dead. I owned a different Morotola that had to be changed 3 times until I received a non faulty unit which suggests to me that motorola tend to have issues with manufacturing rather than design in my opinion.This unit is similar to a lot of the predecessor units - in that is has a camera unit which you can control and pan and zoom using the parent unit. This is fairly intuitive and simple to use. The visuals were good and the larger parent screen I really liked.It doesn't keep charge for more than a couple of hours on average - 3 at a max so it tends to need to reside on the charger which can be a nuisance if you needs to move about with it a lot.The night vision is ok, and about at the same standard as previous monitors - I haven't seen super high quality on any of these home units. I did have fuzzy visions initially but this seemed to right itself without me intervening so not sure why that would be.overall pretty good

Great product. Charged both items and returns automatically synced when switched on so no need to faff about. The pan and zoom function works great and really handy. Like the fact you can talk back to babies. This item is for twins who share a cot and as the screen is nice and big you can easily see both and if/ when they do go into seperate cots you could add another camera (you can have four in total) nit sure I'll need it though as camera is that good and can probably just put the camera further away. The device also plays music/white noise. A few other features I've not looked at properly yet like playback I think but great product.Oh and best feature is the camera has a three hour battery life where most units have to be plugged into mains which for us is good because the cot isn't near a power supply. I just charge it up when I need it. The lead is pretty long though so it just reaches if I need to use the camera longer than three hours. Also comes with a great clip which you can twist around to attach to cot or shelf etc.

Having used several different models of baby monitor over the years, this is probably one of the best baby monitors I have come across, certainly in terms of screen and sound quality. The image quality in particular seems to be a big step up from previous models. It works very similarly to older Motorola models, and also the pretty good BT range of models, and the setup is very straightforward, especially if you have set up baby monitors in the past. The night vision, although still not perfect, is definitely among the best I have come across within models in this range.Based on other comments, there does appear to be an issue with the power cable not connecting properly,but I have to say that I haven't come across this personally. It may be that this was a manufacturing glitch that has been resolved, or it could take time to become apparent, but I have been using this device for several months now and not noticed any problems in that time.

I originally bought the Smart Nursery camera but couldn't rely on the stream on my LAN even with my excellent setup with an Airport Extreme n two floors and an Airport Express in our Nursery. So this was reliable which is the most important thing, but the picture quality not so good. Also this Camera's temp is not perfectly accurate but its better than the Smart Nursery cam. This cam has no humidity gauge and the video quality is poor when compared to the Smart Nursery cam, but its fine for a baby monitor and the panning and zooming is nice and fast on this cam when compared to the smart nursery cam. Overall this is a perfectly good and reliable baby monitor where I am not convinced yet that the IP cameras are.You have to be able to trust your cam will stream anywhere to your monitor in your house and in a 2000sqft Victorian house like mine, you can.

Over the years I have used many different Baby Monitors but this one is by far the best one we have used.Very easy to set up, the camera unit can be placed on a flat surface or you can use the attachment where you can fasten the camera to say a post on a cot.The video unit is very large & gives a very clear picture. From this you can move the camera up, down, left & right to give you the best view of your child. Other options are soothing audio for your child such as the waves, bird song & a lullaby.The picture in the dark is good but not great. The Video Unit alerts you with an audio tone when it is low on battery power & needs charging.A good all rounder though for a Baby Monitor.The large screen is the big winner here!

The screen size is good and picture quality very clear. The sound is good, though I’ve an old monitor if another make which is better, so feel this could be improved.The temperature does not work. It usalley says 26 degrees !!! A separate temperature monitor tells me the room is 19 degrees (which is correct).I should’ve returned as soon as I noticed, but being a new mum you have enough to do without returning defective purchases.For this reason only, I’m dissapointed as spent more on this piece of kit, in the hope it would be fab.

UPDATE; after contacting Binatone and paying 35£ all is well and they replaced the power supplies and pairing is all good. I’m happy with that 18months in. Lost one star as the service repair took nearly a month.This went really well then died after 18 months.The port is TERRIBLE cheap Chinese tat. WHY use micro usb? Most use a jack?? I can bend it with a fingernail!! So I'm waiting on support for help. Won't charge or pair! So useless now. Very disappointed. A 30 quid one we have as a travel cam still works after 5 years!

This is a brilliant monitor, the screen is a decent size too, i bought this to upgrade the one i already had, which to be honest didnt really need to be replaced! But im glad i did, the camera can be used with the monitor itself which is perfect if you have more the one child in the room. It also has a really cool feature which my other one doesnt, it goes a little quieter when theres no noise in the room and then it gets louder again when a child stirs or makes a noise.

This baby monitor is a breeze to setup. Simply wire up the camera in your nursery and position as required, and charge the screen for use on the go. The ability to zoom, pan and tilt very handy, and it not present on many monitors.Being able to take the LED screen around the house with you is great, meaning you can get jobs done with that extra piece of mind.The quality of the screen is excellent, both day and night.

Good product. Like the adjustable legs, can take it anywhere due to battery. Picture clear even in dark. Be careful not to activate the mic or sounds built in which we did accidentally and then had to find how to switch off in the middle of the night! But thats just a small issue. Product is just how described and we are glad we bought it to be able to observe our grandson.

We have been using this product now for a few weeks. Very impressed with the camera and functionality. Night vision is very clear and the temperature display and zoom feature are very useful! Would definitely recommend this product. Only slight change I would make is the ability to adjsust the volume on the white noise/melody from the camera unit.

Great machine. Clear video and sound. Don't bother with the lullabies as they are too loud and have no separate volume control for them. Night vision works well - only hang up is rooms with some light as the night vision hasn't quite kicked in but the sound serves as the main alert.

Excellent device, easy to position. Phenomenally good quality picture, good connection even on a three level house, lots of features that freak the baby out (like speaking to him through it) and give us peace of mind. Highly recommended.
