Bought this kettle last week and ever since, our house occupants have lovingly referred to him as 'Morphy'. He won us over with his ability to supply us with generous amounts of hot water for multiple cups of tea at one go. He's such a cheery worker that just lights up the room whenever he's put into action. While his serene glow is hypnotising, you should be warned to never compare him to a lava lamp, he hates that, fancies himself far more useful than a mere decorative lighting piece, and we agree. At the end of the day you buy a kettle to boil water and that’s what this does... The benefit of buying a Morphy Richards kettle is that it’s sturdy, stylish and has a couple of nice features that I particularly like. The see-through glass body means I can boil just one cup at a time which is really important to me. It’s easy to fill up, no struggling with pulling the lid off - it just takes a gentle press of a button. It’s noticeably lighter than other kettles I’ve used and the ribbed body that glows blue when boiling is cool both in heat transfer and style. Very nice

We collected this item today and we are very pleased with it both in terms of practicality and looks so far. The glass wall is great to see how much water you have added or is left over. The glass wall and chrome handle gives a fresh, clean and classy look. The water boils quickly and stays hot for a long time. The blue light when boiling is a great added feature and I love seeing the bubbles when it boils-a lovely addition to our cottage kitchen, a good mix of modern and retro! I LOVE this kettle! The taste of my tea right from day one was superb.The kettle glows bright blue when it’s switched on and it is so quick to boil, you can see the water bubbling away, yet the outside of the kettle stays cool so it’s safe to touch.Happily, the spout is shiny stainless steel too, so no chance of shattering it accidentally on the tap.And lastly, it’s so very beautiful to look at in my kitchen. This kettle looks great, when it lights up it and the water is boiling it becomes almost mesmerising! But who buys a kettle just to stare at it?The thing that I found really great is how quickly it can boil the maximum amount of water. There is more than enough capacity for most needs, and it gets to boiling pint so so quickly.Overall I'm very impressed that form and function have been given equal priority.

Very pleased with my kettle. It's very modern-looking with its blue light and I like being able to see the water boil. The sides of the kettle do not get hot when in use which is an excellent safety feature. As there is no minimum level I assume the kettle is ok to boil water for just one cuppa. While a little more noisy than I would have liked, this is such a lovely appliance I will forgive it.

Great kettle. Just wanted to mention that I bought it as brushed steel to match the kitchen handles but the kettle handle and top of the lid are actual shiny not brushed. Slightly disappointed with that but still a very nice looking stylish kettle. Love the blue lighting when it's boiling! Also wish the lid opened slightly more for filling! I choose this one solely for the blue light, as we had seen a similar one in Australia.I was very pleased with how attractive and easy to use it was. The blue light is an added bonus. Just used the kettle, grandchildren loved how it lights up and they were very impressed that I can now see how much water I put in so that I do not use too much electricity! Loving this kettle. So stylish. Boils very quickly. The dual walled glass of the kettle remains cool to touch when boiled. Love the illuminated blue whilst boiling. Looks great, boils really quickly, pours wonderfully smooth, it's just a perfect kettle... only thing is it is quite noisy when it boils , which I know is important to some people to have a quiet boil. This is a very pretty kettle. After boiling the inside does remain steamed up which is something I was trying to avoid as my old kettle remained perfectly clear and was a joy to use, this kettle masks condensation with its ridged exterior. It boils fast and pours well so am pleased with my purchase.

This kettle is very stylish and I love the blue colour when boiling,the handle is a easy grip and the pouring spout great , The push button lid is gentle to open and close . It boils quickly and quietly .The rib like affect on the glass doesn’t get too hot like a metal one which I had before .

If your kettle boils water safely and with reasonable speed then give it 3 stars. If it boils rapidly and quietly then give it 4 stars. If it does all that and looks fantastic with a stylish, state of the art design that would suit any décor then give it 5 stars. I give this kettle 5 stars.
