I had been watching this cordless vacuum cleaner for over a week at the then offer price of £59.99. To be perfectly honest, it appeared too good to be true when reading the reviews. We already own an upright vacuum that won a Which? Best Buy award, a pull along from a well known German company that is by far the most powerful vacuum cleaner we've ever owned, a handheld cordless cleaner and, to top it all off, a robot cleaner from the company that pretty much started that trend off. They're all very good in their own right and the robot cleaner takes care of our upstairs area every day. However, you can never have enough vacuum cleaners, can you? In pursuit of the ultimate in convenience,I have been looking for an upright cordless that could be left in our utility room and whipped out in a flash for the moments when you want a quick clean but can't be doing with getting the traditional vacuum cleaner out. Let's be honest, they're a pain to plug in, wrestle with the power cord, heavy to use in most cases and, as good as they are, they're becoming a bit old hat.Well, I'm delighted to say that the 732005 Supervac has just become our new best friend. If you're looking for something for that fast, convenient and lightweight swift clean, don't hesitate to buy it. In terms of value for money, this is an almost flawless product. I might not say the same if I'd paid full price for it, but at £59.99 or anything below £100, I think it is worth every penny.Don't expect it to be a direct replacement for any mains powered vacuum. It isn't and nor is it intended to be. It is there to save you hassle and get rid of the majority of surface dust or items in a matter of minutes - and it does that quite brilliantly. It is very well packaged and we had ours up and running within 5 minutes. There really isn't anything to it. It didn't last long on first run out because the battery didn't contain much charge, but once it was fully charged we've found we get 30-35 minutes out of it - and that is using it almost solely in high power mode (there are two power levels). It is extremely lightweight and surprisingly quiet too. Someone else wrote a review in which they said it would encourage children to vacuum - and I think they're spot on. It will because it is so easy to push and use.The powered brushes in the main suction head do a fantastic job but you'll need to keep cleaning them regularly if you're a dog or cat owner. I have discovered that they're actually very good at picking up pet hairs, contrary to the reviews of a few others. That was a pleasant suprise and I suspect their efficiency is largely down to how often you clean the brush head (it is removed for clean very easily too). The folding handle is a touch of genius too because you can operate the vacuum with the handle folded back, thereby halving the height of the cleaner and making the cleaner of tight spaces incredibly easy (my wife has used it on the stairs with the handle folded). You can also remove the mini hand-held cleaner is you want to with ease. One pull of a a trigger and it clips out. Snap it back in afterwards and it is that simple. If I had to be ultra critical then I'd say that the cleaning head sits very tight to the floor, so if there are any mediu to large objects then you'll find that it pushes them along instead of sucking them up. However, the cleaner is light enough for you to lift it with one hand, plonk it down on the object and, hey-presto, it cleans it up.Emptying the container is reasonably easy but also something I would recommend you do after each clean, or at least after two uses. The reason I say that isn't down to the size of the container itself but to the filter system. You unclip the handheld unit and then press a button to release the dirt container. You then have to pull out the filter head and this is where you'll find two more items. The first is that there is a foam backing on the filter than gets very clogged up, very quickly. A quick tap of it over a bin will get rid of most of the dirt but you then have another section that is a circular cap that flips up. This also gets very clogged up but again a tap of it over a bin is enough to clean it out. Then you have the the container itself - and the dirt just empties out of that. This might sound complicated but it is all done in 30 seconds. I take the amount of dust on the filters to be a positive sign instead of the negative that some reviewers have highlighted - it is showing you that the cleaner is working effectively. The cleaning head itself is astonishingly well designed. It is narrow enough to get between chair legs with total ease and into a lot tighter places. However, it also swivels and pivots. That makes manoeuvring the cleaner to be an absolute joy.Edge cleaning might not be perfect but I can't say we've found it to be an issue. If it doesn't pick up from the edge of the cleaning head, approach the area with the head facing forward and vice versa. It has never failed to do its job for us if we do that.Charging is not fast. On first charge we found that it took a good 4 hours from being flat. That said, we had ran it to the point it cuts out when the battery is flat. Since then, it hasn't been a problem because we just latch it on to the very well designed stand and leave it. We've never gone to the cleaner to find it isn't fully charged (indicated by a green light on the front). On the subject of the stand, it also houses 3 cleaning attachments that all fit the handheld clip-off unit. One is the typical thing nozzle and the others are intended to be for fabric/furniture cleaning. We've not used them so I can't comment on how effective they are. Finally, the entire unit is very good looking. I was extremely surprised at how good it looks. The finish is a smart metallic red with silver elements on the handles, etc.All in all this is a brilliant product for the price and I can't recommend it enough. It has, unquestionably, provided us with the final element of convenience we were looking for.

I hesitate to write a vacuum cleaner review after only a month, because they mostly all work reasonably well to start with. However this one is such a good machine I cannot hold back any longer! It's convenient, versatile, effective and even good-looking, which is not something I ever thought important in a household appliance. Despite being so small and lightweight, it cleans more quickly and more efficiently than my recent Beast from Bosch which cost twice as much and weighed 3x as much, it's brilliant on stairs which used to be such a pain to do, and it's so different not having to stretch between plug sockets and fiddle with rewinding the cable.Being able to instantly detach the hand-held unit makes it super easy and I find this especially useful for car cleaning. But even the main unit is so easy to manoeuvre, it's actually more like playing than cleaning. All the controls are ergonomically and intuitively positioned so there is no struggling or fiddling or looking up instructions required, including when emptying the dirt/fluff container. This is tiny and really does need emptying every time you use it, which is normal these days with bagless devices, but with this one it's the work of moments to do and because it's small it's easy to empty straight into a household bin. There's also a roller brush like on an old style upright, which no doubt contributes to the cleaning effectiveness despite the relatively low suction power (and therefore low noise). This gets hairs wrapped all around it, which are more of a fiddle to unwind and remove, so there might be a reason to hesitate if you have a lot of long-haired people in your household, but for me it's only about one minute's work every week. You would think there would be compromises involved in making a machine that's so lightweight but if so I haven't found them yet - it really is very cleverly designed and should probably be entered for some kind of industry award.I don't like cleaning and I used to hate vacuuming. To my astonishment, now it's so easy, I enjoy it so much that I've set up the cleaner in the living room so I don't miss the pleasure of a quick daily spin!(after 5 months: still happy...)

A good vacuum cleaner for the price and really handy as a quick way to clean up when there just isn't time to get out the proper hoover. It won't be a replacement for a proper corded vacuum, but does help your back and keeps your house cleaner in practical terms - as you end up using it when otherwise you wouldn't bother!A word of warning though - you get ONE year warranty with this as standard. To get TWO - register with Morphy Richards within 14 days of purchase.Usual thing - they assume no-one will bother. Of course I didn't. And the obvious weak point with this is the battery which died after 1 3/4 years.... so now I have a product which Morphy Richards can't help me with at all (they don't do replacement batteries and they no longer make the replacement motor unit)and just advise me to buy a new vacuum. Great.HOWEVER - don't despair. If you are at all handy with a screw driver and attempting to fix things you will find that the 18v NiMH battery in this is in fact 15 Rechargeable AA batteries lined up!!! So to replace the battery just buy 15 1.2v 1500mAh rechargeable AAs and prepare to fiddle around with it for 20 minutes.-----Update for review a few months after replacing the battery / batteries replacement:Followup on the above review: As well as a screw driver you will need to either be handy with a solder iron (and be very careful not to heat the batteries) or very strong tape (e.g. electrical tape) to hold the links between batteries in place. This fix is still working ok and in fact I used higher capacity batteries so it lasts even longer per charge. However, sometimes it still takes a few presses to start the motor - I probably need to clean the mechanism inside too. Overall I would say great product but if you are thinking of buying a new one, buy a new model instead for a few quid more that the do replacement motor units for.

This hoover is a must have and what with it being half price at the moment you just can't go wrong (although still worth full price). It has many features which all add up to this being the best hoover I have ever had. That includes many different models of Dyson which we have had over the years. We have now put our Dyson into storage as we always use this Morphy Richards now.It is very easy to move around and under furniture. It glides effortlessly on laminate, vinyl, carpets and wool rugs. The charge allows us to use it for a 3 bed house and still have more to go. We have a dog, therefore a dog hair problem, not with this. This picks up dog hair so much better than our dyson its like magic. We tell everyone about it and show them it in use. Im always on the lookout for the smallest bits just so I can use it.My partner always used the Dyson as it was too heavy for me being quite weak due to health issues. This is perfect for me and a real pleasure to use. It has two powers which I find the higher setting for carpets, rugs and the lower setting ample for the vinyl and laminate. It is easy empty, press a button to remove the centre canister then another on top to tip out the dirt. This canister section doubles up as a portable handheld that can be used for the car or with the supplied upholstery brush for soft furnishings etc or dusting tool for and crevice tool for suitable uses. Just lift and go, as easy as that. It sits on the charging base which takes up little room. The light stays green when fully charged and orange when charging. The handle can be folded down so it tales up even less room and can also be stored in a cupboard if required. I suggest you all give this a try, after having cordless and the features it has you will never go back to corded. Always on standby ready to use.

I've had Dysons over the last 17 or so years. My old one was on the way out and I really wanted to try a cordless one. I looked at the Dyson and the GTech Air Ram. But I couldn't afford either particularly as a first time user of a cordless. So the price as well as the positive reviews absolutely attracted me to this vacuum. I've had cordless hand held vacuums before for quick clean up of dry spillages or for the car but I ended up rarely using them as they were quite heavy, no where really to keep them on charge and they would run out of charge before I'd so much as got the back seat of the car vacuumed. This vacuum cleaner has just ticked everything for me and is definitely value for money!Small, compact and light versus my old bulky, intrusive and very heavy DysonThe charge time on it is plenty for my 3 bedroom house and to completely do out my car (one or the other!) because of it being lightweight and so easy to maneuver it just is so much quicker to get round where you need to.So easy to detach and reattach the vacuum to the wand you can do all the vacuuming jobs as you go along each room.I can keep it on the charging station, easily tucked away in my kitchen and it barely takes up any space. It is so easy to remove the bin and filter and wash everything out thoroughly. The bin is small but I'm surprised how much it can hold, and emptying it more often is no hardship as its so easy to do. Besides, if you've vacuumed up food, you don't really want it sitting in the vacuum cleaner!Vacuuming definitely feels far less of a chore when you don't have a heavy machine to lug around and endless cord to constantly detangle.

Very happy with this Supervac, it's perfect for people like me who aren't really interested in vacuuming. I didn't want a fancy but clunky machine with all sorts of tubes, cable and attachments falling off, cluttering the place up and getting lost and I certainly didn't want to spend hundreds of pounds on a Dyson type cleaner's wet dream. I'm just not that excited by vacuuming. I got one of these from Amazon Warehouse for the same price as the base model, brand new as far as I can tell. With the Supervac I get a simple machine that sits easily on it's charging dock and thanks to the folding handle can be stored under a table or in a cupboard or something. It has just the two attachments you need, which also store on the dock. I can easily grab either the full upright vac or just the lift out hand held unit for a quick clean - no faffing with cable, hoses and attachments just grab it, use it and put it back on the dock. Done.Very impressed with how powerful yet quiet it is too, and it works well on both carpet and tiles. The hand held unit with the narrow extension and brush attachment are perfect for reaching up high or into tight corners.I suppose if you have a big house and love cleaning all the time then having to empty the reservoir more often might annoy you but you should still consider a Supervac so you can get your cleaning fix on a daily basis. It's always ready and just so easy to use. Then keep your shiny, expensive, uber-fancy Dyson for when you really want to get stuck in.

Very pleased with this, the first time i have tried a cordless vac. Got it up and running and swept my home (2 floors/3beds) all in well under 30 mins. very easy to use, although needed to be emptied after around 10 mins, this was very quick and easy to do, so not a major issue. The fact it is a 2-in-1 is why i chose this over the air ram, that and the fact, if you bought the air ram, you have to pay extra for the handheld unit with the tools, all of of which come in this one package, making a total saving of nearly 2/3's (!), there simply is no justification for that extra cost, the only benefit you'd get would be a small increase in waste capacity, but nowhere near enough to justify the huge extra cost.I have no issues with the suction power, compared to the cyclinder vac I used before. The combo of an upright and a handheld in a single unit, is very convenient and means you can tackle anything and everything - yes including the stairs! It comes fully charged too which is handy. I have used it for 20 odd mins, so far, more than enough for my needs, so the claimed 40 mins run time is more than enough for any 3 bed semi, though i have plugged it in to the charger to keep it topped up to avoid running out mid hoovering! Its very compact to store, the handle folds down and the tools all store alongside the main unit on the cradle. So all in all, its an excellent purchase and for the price it is an absolute steal!

In a household with 4 children, a dog and a cat, the vacuum seems as an extension of your arm most days.I would not use as my only vacuum but as a handy one to keep close by.So in the morning you vacuum your whole house with the big, bulky, corded vacuum. (I have a Henry)But what about after meals?Or after you have been cooking?I look at my under-stairs cupboard and think "Oh no!" Just with the thought of having to bring out my big Henry, plug it in etc.So now I have my Cordless Supervac in my living room on charge all day.Ideal for:StairsInside my puppies crateAround cats scratching posts (I have a 3 floors one)Cats basketQuick clean around table after meals (4 little ones at home)After cooking when you have drooped a bit of onion peel,etc...To keep my back doors entrance clean regularly (we take dog to the wc through that door)Hubby even uses it to vacuum the carThis is a great buy at a fantastic reduced price.I do not know how we have managed without it until now.Instead of having the little dust pan and brush and having to go on my knees to pick up bits and pieces, this is the quick and easy way to do it.Advice- Add a vacuum air freshener pad to the filter area and give your house a bust of freshness every time you pick up little bits. Now you will not feel like OMG every time your kids sharpen a pencil and start doing it from the table all the way to the bin... ;)

Bought this after reading screeds of reviews for this and other cordless hoovers. Must say was sceptical after buying due to reviews about limited suction/ small collection chamber- however I was thrilled when product arrived!! Super lightweight, looks great, folds away for easy storage, has easy to use charging station- all looking good. Comes with some charge so you can try it out right away although instructions recommend fully charging. The suction power exceeded my expectations and it does a lovely job on both carpet and hard flooring as a quick run around. Undeniably is less suction power than an upright plug-in hoover, however I find it just as effective as other cordless hoovers I have tried, for a fraction of the price!! So quick and convenient having a cordless, I hoover much more regularly, and the battery has never ran out on me. The collection chamber is fairly small, but very easy to empty- I had read it was necessary to do so after every use but I have not found that to be the case. I can hoover my 2 bedroom flat at least 4/5 times before needing to empty chamber. I have washed foam filter as recommended in order to maximise suction and after about 4 months of use I'm still delighted with this product and have been recommending to friends and family.

I have dogs and cats in a house with both hard floors and carpets. I bought this as my old corded vac was noisy, heavy and smelly, in spite of being cleaned and having filter replaced. I decided on this one after reading reviews for all similar models for different brands. I can't recommend it highly enough. Yes it's cordless so it doesn't have quite as much suction as a plug in vac. However what it lacks in a bit of power it makes up for in ease of use. Ease of cleaning and effortless storage. It works well on my carpets. Takes a couple of goes if pet hair is really prominent. But fab on my hard floors. Makes stair cleaning safer and easier. Also the handheld vac part detaches for small spills and furniture or in the car. It's very light weight and quite an attractive appliance to have around. What it does need is emptying very often due to the small size of the dust chamber. But as it's so easy to do its no real hardship. Even the little foam filter is easy to clean. I wash it in warm soapy water and leave it to dry on the window for an hour. The rotary brush is powered for carpets and is easy to take out to remove any stuck bits of fluff. I love this vac. I don't know how I managed before without it. Get yourself one. You won't regret it.

Wowee, just received this and I thought we had a very clean house with already good regular sized well chosen top name vacuum cleaners and a good cleaning routine. First time I used this vac, I only used it on a small rug and then opened the dust container. I thought it had a black charcoal type of filter inside or that it had been used before. But NO! I realised that our seemingly shiny house did have tons of black Labrador hairs lurking in the rugs and this new little helper was amazingly tough and way more efficient than I had ever expected it to be! It is truly amazing for it's size and so easy to use with the swivel head; it is a pleasure to use.I really only bought it to vac the back door mat after our Lab goes in and out this way. We always wipe his feet when he comes in so we are already clean but when I pick this up, I cannot stop myself just zooming round all the downstairs rugs and excitedly see what the little super vac machine has managed to catch! My husband says I must be nuts, but it is actually quick and fun to use and so stylish to look at. You can judge for yourself, but yes I must be nuts but enjoying the experience! The best ever machine for pet hair, you will not believe it!

We have always had Black & Decker cordless vacuums in the past. The one we had came with a floor extension kit so in addition to a hand held vac it was also a floor vac. The floor kit attachment was poor quality and broke as did the second floor kit we purchased. When that happened we decided to see what else was available. After much research we thought we would give the Morphy Richards 732005 Supervac 2-in-1 18v Cordless Vacuum - Red a try. That was the best decision we could have made. I can vacuum my 7 room plus conservatory house and still have power to spare. I like the swivel head, so easy to manoeuvre and the rotating brush in the head works great. It warns you when it is getting low on power and doesn't seem to lose power even when you get the warning. It has two speeds that allows you to vacuum delicate surfaces. The only drawback is the dust chamber, it is small meaning you have to empty it often. Filters are really good and the hepa filter is good if you have allergies. The biggest plus, to me, it picks up pet hair without having to go over and over and over. All in all, I would highly recommend the product without hesitation. :O)Read full review...

I am disabled and have been struggling for a long time to use my regular vacuum cleaner. I was really not expecting much when I bought this Morphy Richards but boy was I in for a delightful surprise. It is an absolute dream to use. I couldn't be more delighted. I didn't need instructions to assemble the parts when it arrived as there were pictures on the outside of the box that made everything so easy. Within moments I had it set up and charging on its neat little base. Actually it seemed to arrive fully charged as I couldn't resist trying it out. It cleans like a dream and the battery life is amazing. This morning I used it properly and I managed to do the hall, lounge, stairs, landings bedrooms and bathroom on one charge! I had to empty the dust collector three or four times which only proves just how effective a cleaner this machine is. After lunch I got it out again and did the rest of the bedrooms and the kitchen. Oddly now I am rather hoping that my husband comes in from his shed and leaves a mess on the carpet so I can get it out again and have another go lol. I don't often review my purchases but I can heartily recommend this cleaner to anyone :)

I bought this hover because I didn't have anywhere to store Henry. I was a bit concerned about the power of it before buying but it turns out to be more powerful than I thought it would be.The product:The vacuum comes with a charging station and two attachments. The floor bristles spin for maximum cleaning power and has two power settings. You can also detach the vacuum from the base and use it as a hand held vacuum. The dust collects in a small chamber which is easy to empty. The vacuum lives on the charging station so remains charged all the time. The handle also folds down for easy storage.Pros:- easy storage - light compact design- powerful - powerful enough to pick up everyday dirt.I keep the Henry upstairs in case I need to deal with some heavier soiled areas.- long battery life - easily clean the whole house on a single charge- not too noisy- good designCons:- The small dirt tray requires emptying after every use but you soon get used to it- can't deal with heavier soiled areasOverall I am very please with the product and I would by again.

We bought this three years ago and were just discussing how well it has served us so I thought we would leave a review for others. We use this as our main hoover for our flat, which is a one-bedroom flat with a kitchen, bathroom, hallway and large living room. The bedroom is the only room with a carpet and the rest of the rooms are either tiled or hardwood floors. It does well with all floors. It keeps its charge well and we can easily hoover the whole flat regularly, charging it probably only once a week. I find it easy to clean and feel that because the filter can be washed, it does not smell like other hoovers do. It's easy to use in tight spaces and, being cordless, it can be used for the car too.The only negative is that it does get long hair caught in the main brush and this is not as easy as I hoped to clean, but it is still easier than other hoovers I've had in the past as the brush can be taken out to allow you to unravel the caught hair (although I tend to use scissors!!). I would definitely recommend to others and would not hesitate to buy again.
