This is the first time I have seen a doll that I genuinely like myself. I don't know anything about the history of the Monster High Dolls but there will be a DVD out in October that I have already ordered.I am a grandmother with four granddaughters and one daughter so I have seen quite a lot of dolls come and go in that time.Bonita Femur is a hybrid, her mother is a skeleton and her father a moth. (yeah moth not goth). Her face is beautiful, her body is made of a mix of bones and insect legs, and she seems to be frail and delicate. Turn her around and her back is a rib cage and spine. Her arms are bendy, her wrists and knees are jointed. She can stand up by herself. Her wings are stunning.Bright cerise pink are the top half and black the bottom half. From the back the wings are also yellow in part. She has beautiful long long hair, she brings her own hairbrush with her. Each Monster High Hybrid has his or her own diary and reading Bonita's has given insight into this interesting character. She chews her clothes when she is nervous!I have had her in my living room for a few days now out of her box and feel I am becoming quite fond of her, unlike all the Barbie's etc, which I truly dislike but tolerate for the granddaughters' sakes.A fascinating doll, I look forward to meeting some of the other Monster High Dolls who also look intriguing, bright and colourful. This is a different and interesting set of dolls that will trigger lots of imaginative play.

This has been a surprise hit with my 7 year old daughter. She has heard about monster high dolls from her friends but never had one and as she has never been very interested in various Barbies and Moxie girls she has been given I was sceptical that this doll would be any different. She was out of the box 5 days ago and has barely left my daughter's side since. She spends ages combing and plaiting her admittedly impressively long multicoloured hair. I think the fact she can stand her up on display when she's not playing with her has made the specialness last. Her dress is very pretty and gothic. She came with a diary which I have read but my daughter wasn't very interested in.I'm a bit uncertain about the way the diary goes on about how she loves to chew her clothes to calm herself down. Not sure I want to be putting those sort of ideas in my daughters head but luckily as she wasn't interested I have spirited that away. She seems to be pretty good quality, having stood up to quite a lot of handling and play so far. Her hair is not yet a matted mess like other dolls of her type in our house. We shall see how long that lasts. All in all I have been pleasantly surprised how well this doll has gone down and another from the series has been requested for an upcoming birthday.

Hi! My name is Bonita Femur and I am a hybrid doll - part skeleton, part moth - with elegant and fashionable, huge moth wings, which I use to stand up all by myself. My new owner loves this and now displays me on her desk alongside my other new friends. I have to tell you, when I arrived at my new home I was a little nervous and nibbled at the edge of my clothes. I was a bit worried how my new friends would react to me, since I am quite freaky to look at. However, I need not have worried as my new friends were amazed at how much of a Monster mash--up I am, and thought me very cool anyway. Especially when I told them I am from that super cool school Monster High and my friends and I are pretty famous among telly addicts and certain fashionable circles.Believe me, I wear gorgeous, moth inspired clothes. and I'm all about chewing-edge clothing, but what my new friends love about me even more is my beautiful makeup, fashionable shoes, clothes and gorgeous white hair with pink and black streaks that match my funky clothes. Honestly, I am so loved I don't know why I was so nervous.I come with my own hairbrush and secret diary, and I'm perfectly articulated in my own boo-tiful Monster High way!

My daughter absolutely loves this doll and so do I! She's a very cool rock chick style doll - half skeleton, half moth apparently. She has amazing features, her clothes are stunning, her body is different to one of a Barbie - there is detail on the joints to make them look monster-like - her neck is liney - legs have 'moth leg' type detailing - it's really very cool and different. Best of all she stands up on her own so it can be displayed when not in use unlike a lot of Barbies who don't stand freely. My daughter for one is now going to collect these dolls as she always used to like Barbies but now the other girls at school say they aren't 'cool'but apparently this one is so I think she has started a new craze!!It comes with a diary with a bit of a backstory about the character which is perfect for those who haven't seen Monster High so it doesn't exclude those with no knowledge! I think these are great for all of the family - very interesting detail and style - very cool and different. We now have a new fan of Monster High in our house and I'm pretty certain every little girl would love this fun, unusual range of dolls.

The Freaky Fusion range have all been pretty good additions to the Monster High range so far and this is no exception. The doll is nicely detailed, no more fragile than any of the others, and her hair is very nice and a pleasure to brush and comb. Her costume and makeup are interesting and attractive, and her back story is appealing (my own daughter can really empathise with a girl who chews her own clothes). Like all the Freaky Fusion dolls Bonita can stand by herself without a support, mostly because her wings give her that extra bit of balance. On the down side, undressing her is harder than with others in the Monster High stable, but none of them are exactly easy and I've never bothered with the extra outfits because you simply can't get them on and off without frustration and damage. Her wings also look rather less good from the back, and they make her a bit less poseable, but I doubt that's a major issue for most collectors - though it might be a problem for kids who want to play with her. On the whole, though, another good addition to the collection.

Bonita Femur is a Monster High hybrid doll - part skeleton and part moth - which means that she likes the light and enjoys chewing her clothes! She has a really attractive costume and removable wings (when the wings are attached she can stand on her own). She also has lovely long hair, plus a brush, and a diary which your daughter can read to find out all about her new doll. Although fully jointed, one of her arms bends downwards and the other bends upwards; presumably due to a mutant side effect However, my seven year old daughter adores her - she loves her costume and her extra long, colourful hair and the diary is a nice extra to give background. To be honest,I thought this doll looked a little creepy (fair enough really as she is a monster...) but apparently she is not creepy, but cool. Judging by the reaction of my daughter to this toy, Monster High dols will be very popular with little girls.

My 8 year old daughter has suddenly got heavily into Monster High - I am not quite sure what she sees in it but all you need to know is that these dolls seem to hit the spot. There's not much to them and they don't really do very much (perhaps even looking a bit sinister!) but as there are stacks of dolls to collect, it's a relief that they aren't too expensive. As with these things, I am sure that they will no longer be "cool" in 6 months but, at the moment, my daughter is loving them and getting plenty of value from them. There also seems to be a stack of online 'Monster Doll' content that she's now accessing, too.

This is the second Monster High doll we've received in the last few weeks, so we'll keep this one for Christmas. Like the previous beast, this hybrid of a girl and an animal is beautifully, grotesquely realised, a graveyard of colours and designs. Also like the other doll, this comes with a variety of accessories, a diary and a hairbrush, the diary detailing Bonita' s likes. A mixture of moth and Skeleton, Bonita will fit in well with other dolls, especially in a Monster High set, and standing on her own feet, she may tower above other toys. An interesting range which is sure to be the next big thing.

I love this series of toys. It's great to see a set of figures aimed at girls that aren't totally vapid, and the Monster High series just oozes cool. They still have the fashion angle for girls who might want to play at hair stylist but could easy feature in far more imaginative games that have nothing to do with hair and outfits. In terms of negatives, I should point out that neck and fingers are very thin and could easily be broken by younger children. Other than that, I highly recommend this and any other figure from this series for girls with slightly edgier tastes!

Fab doll! I love it & so does little miss MSU. It is poseable & stands up by itself! She has lovely long hair that needs lots of brushing (brush supplied!) The diary encourages reading and writing so for my 6 year old she is perfect. Her body shape is better than Barbie and her style is cool funky rock chick. No one in our family has seen the show. We are not collecting the 'figures' we are playing with the doll. I really am so happy with this as a parents & little miss is happy to play with any doll especially if her hair goes down to her bottom!Win-Win.

This is the first Monster High doll my daughter has had so I can only compare it to the Barbie/Disney Princess dolls she has had. When the wings are attached (part moth/part skeleton) she is able to stand alone. My daughter loves this as it is a massive advantage over her other dolls.Fabulously long hair which my daughter spends ages brushing. Lovely vivid colours. Her outfit has brilliant detail and her boots are a very intricate design. My daughter loved reading the diary included with her.Not very scary looking which put my mind at rest.

My daughter (11) absolutely loves Monster High dolls and always goes for these over Bratz or more traditional dolls (Barbie etc). The new range of Monster High is freaky fusion where the doll is apparently half one thing half another ! She finds this hilarious and although from a parents point of view I find them a bit weird and almost gothic she definitely loves the brand and spends many hours creating stories with them. Very well made to be fair and a good price so not reason not to strongly recommend.

Certainly not your average Sindy or Barbie from years ago! But my stepdaughter adores all things Monster High and this doll made her very happy. It's quite funky and sort of Goth, and I've noticed that MH appeals to older girls as well as younger girls who watch the cartoons. My personal complaint is that the knees are rather mechanical looking, after the lovely streamlined Barbie knees of my youth ;) But overall it's cute and inventive, and something a bit different.
