Virtually everyone who owns an Xbox will use it for online gaming, and as a result you're going to have friends to talk to while gaming (or even complete strangers if you join an open game)....This headset it the same as the one you get with your Xbox console if your were to buy one now. It's very simple and has 1 earphone with a loop over your head to keep the headset where it should. The microphone is a good one and found on the arm which can be moved and bend to suit whatever position you desire...but because the microphone can be swung in both directions, you can use the headset either on your left or right side.

For all of those people that are unsure whether to buy thi product, and are thinking of buying the cheaper option...DON'T. This is exactly what it says on the box, it is an official Xbox 360 headset, made by microsoft. Before I bought this product I was worried it wasn't an official one, no worries, it is official:) Also other comments said it didn't fit through the letter box, that did happen with mine, but when I got home a found on my welcome matt a card from amazon. As the package was too big to fit through the door we put your product in your recycling bin at the bottom of the drive:) So even though I wasn't at home they still put it in a safe place where people can't see it.

This was a good buy for me, especially when you don't have that much money. A good price and works very well. It has the official Xbox Logo and has given me some extra assurance that this is a good product, and it truly is.Ive had no problems yet and will continue to use it. It makes your gaming experience even better. It also caters for both those who want to play competitively with their mates, or just a chilled out session helping each other on a CO-OP game. Sometimes, even when you don't feel like playing the same game, you can just have a nice catchup, maybe chat about how awesome life is, sports, attractive people, you know, the usual.good hunting :)

This headset is well designed, its cheap and it looks decent aswell. The mic has a mute and unmute slider so that you can turn off the mic, this headset also includes volume control so that you can control the overall volume of the speaker on the headset.Pro's:Cheap, decent build quality, works well.Cons:Sometimes doesn't pick up your voice and other will hear your voice in low volume through their mic.Can sometimes not give a complete fit into the mic port. (headset may make static noises through the speaker)It is good for what it costs but do not get this headset if you are considering long term use of it. (1 year+)

5 stars because it was exactly what I expected - it's the same as the original headset that came with my Xbox. Works fine and I'm able to talk with my friends in party chat.The headset came in a plastic bag, cushioned by paper. Note that it did not come in an official Xbox 360 box, as the image suggests. However, the headset has the Xbox 360 logo on the side of the microphone, and a holographic sticker on the mute switch (the same as my original one) - so it seems legit.At £6.50, I would highly recommend to others. I'd rather pay a few extra quid to know that I'm getting an official one, rather than a 3rd party one.

Bought this headset because mine broke, works perfectly fine for xbox live, only thing that can annoy me is the wire, i always pull it out leaning for something, but if u dont want tht ur gotta pay have too 30 quids for a wireless one and who wants to do that!!! also you will have to replace these, they dont last over a year i would say, but they are cheap so u can gamble n buy maybe 3 in 3 years or buy a wireless one that could break, but ive heard they are very good, but as i said these are more expensive..

Works perfectly fine so far, I've already had it about 3-4 weeks and no problems whatsoever. Would not hesitate to buy if you're replacing an old broken mic. These are the official xbox ones (just like the ones that come with the xbox)Also i'm not so great with controllers, dropped it with the mic in, its fallen out loads, been pulled out and bashed around and still works perfectly.Fine product, reading reviews of other non official mics i'd say this is definitely worth the extra money.

My old mic which came with my Xbox unfortunately got eaten by our little puppy so I searched arround trying to find a genuin mic to replace it with our going to the shops and spending £15-20 on one. I came across this and could not belive it £7.95 great I thought hopefully it was the real deal, it came in 2 days with free dilivery, it's a genuin black Xbox 360 mic and exactly what you want to replace a broken or in my case eaten one. Recomend

I bought these for my son who is 11 as the previous ones he had which came with his xbox 360 broke fairly soon after receiving them. These lasted quite a while, with heavy usage from my son and probably not much care taken to look after them. I.e usually on the floor at the end of the day. They do what they are meant to, but don't expect them to out live the xbox they wont, but then they are not expensive.

This headset is genuine and works great. When i upgraded my xbox from normal to elite black. I was disappointing when i did not get the headset inside the box. As i play cod4 online, so i wanted to get original stuff which can do the job. I bought this headset and was surprised about the quality product. It is so cheap , could not get this price on any other plat form.

My X12 headset broke last week so I got this as a quick & cheap replacement, was here within 55 hours of order which I thought was fantastic as delivery is free, the wire is very flimsy & thin but if you're not hitting people with the headset it should be fine, there is a volume adjustment which I like, & my friends have told me the mic quality is good. Recommended

Standard (official) headset. Updated from the old white ones, the input plug is smaller, like a normal headphones jack, and there is the volume and mute options on the wire. Actually I preferred the old design in that sense, its often hard to find the controls when you are in the middle of a game of black opsm but this one feels stronger and more comfortable.

I bought this as a replacement for my old official headset that broke. This is basically identical in terms of sound quality and voice quality and is maybe better as people seem louder with this headset. However, it is quite small and is weirdly shaped around the head so only just fits properly. But overall it's very good especially for the price.

I have to say this product arrived much earlier then I thought. But the postman will try and squezze it in to your house. DONT LET THEM. Open your door and collect it. AS you can see there is a packaging, there isn't. But everything else is fine but just there is a humming sound when you turn it on for maxium sound.

My daughter stood on her previous headset, breaking the wire connection. This one functions just as expected. Sound is reasonable and her friends have no difficulty hearing her through the microphone. At the price, she can afford to stand on this one as well...which she almost certainly will do.
