Bought this to replace a faulty mini-DP to DP cable (also bought on Amazon). Glad to say this worked first time connecting my 4K monitor to my Surface Laptop 2 via a Surface dock. Maybe a bit expensive - but being MS you can be pretty certain that it is compatible with my setup.

You pay for what you get. 4K output 60fps on Surface Pro 2017 i5. Tried a cheaper version first and this didn't work.Not only do you get 4k output, you also get original resolution on the surface pro screen whilst driving the 4k screen.

I have a couple of Surface Pro 4 which I use as part of my consulting, connecting them to screens for presentations is an absolute must, this is a good connector

Very useful allowing me to stream tv and also use my surface as a full blown pc, connecting it to my monitor. Low cost solution, don't need the hub @£154

Excellent cable plugged it in worked out of the box no doubts if you want something that will work definitely pay a bit more and buy this one

It's a great product but it is a bit expensive. There are cheaper alternatives but I like wanted to get the same make as my laptop.

I had to cut part of the rubber sleeve on the mini display adapter, the 45° angle wouldn't fit into my dock. Worked fine once cut.
