A few years ago I cycled around the world. I begun with Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires which came down with my bike but they were a nightmare! I had several punctures every day very early on in the ride and they were a nightmare to get back on the rim as they kept twisting.I then changed to these and what a God send! From Greece, the entire coast of India, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam & Cambodia I didn't get a single puncture! My problems only began, and not the fault of the tire, when I got to BC in Canada. The machines used to clear the snow left tiny wire treads on the road which gave me several punctures a day again.Once I left BC I didn't get another puncture for about 6,000km `til I reached the other side of Canada.During the ride I think I only went through about 5 of these tires. Changing the front to the back and putting a new one on the front helped save some. All in all, a superb tire and in my opinion, don't bother looking anywhere else!

I installed these on an cruiser bike, they really complement the bike (better than whitewalls in my case). The white lettering is subtle and looks good and unique. Looks aside, though, these are worlds better than the original style road only tires. Riding feels much safer and grippy, and I can recover from those sudden gravel or grass patches very quickly if I get into a bad situation. I can cut through slightly rough stuff with the cruiser without fear of eating dirt. I would not push them too hard; they still lose traction faster than knobby tires. Another thing I've enjoyed out of these is that they let me coast forever. Very low rolling resistance due to the high psi these can handle, and very low noise. Very satisfied with these tires, and I highly recommend them as an alternative to regular whitewalls that everyone else has.

Did a lot of research on these tires and was debating between these and Continental semi slicks. Decided on these Michelin's primarily since they were cheaper. Having knobby tires before, difference was night and day. Less rolling resistance, better acceleration and speed. Usually ride these on roads and asphalt but I did try on packed dirt and grass on an incline , they seem to be sufficient. Placed them on a trainer, it's so quiet I even ride it at night now compared to my old knobbies. Now it may not make much sense of course, but the only negative I had was the width of the tire, would be nice if they had options for 1.95 or above. A width of 1.75 is a little too thin for me,having been used to the look of 1.95 and above. Aesthetically, would've looked more bada$$ in my opinion.

I've had these tyres for approx 1000 miles on my MTB and use them for a combination of commuting to work and the weekend rides that include sections of mild off road paths. They perform superbly on roads and trails such as gravel or compacted mud which I mainly ride on. Probably not ideal for wet grass or seriously wet and muddy trails as the tread pattern just isn't designed for that kind of terrain. If you want a tyre which has suprisingly low rolling resistance but is still capable of being used for moderatate off roadcycling, then these fit the bill perfectly. They seem to be good at resisting punctures too,I've only had one puncture in those 1000 miles (perhaps I've just been lucky?)I'll be buying another set of these to replace my current set.

One thing you must be careful to do with these excellent tires ,is when mounting look close on the sidewall and you will see an arrow pointing the direction the tire tread must be on your wheel. I did not notice the arrow, which was very small and I had to re mount both tires so the tread would be in the right direction, otherwise I like the improvement these tires made on my bike ride. However I have only put a few miles . The real test will be a few months and miles down the road. The tires are very good in the rain and hold the road on turns. I mostly ride in city streets which can be a problem with pot holes!Yes I would advise others to purchase these Country Rock tires by Michelin, which has a great reputation on cars.

Bought these in August 2010 and mounted them the day they arrived. It's been somewhere between 2 and 300 miles and they are still going strong. So far I have had no flats, and that includes a lot of curb-hopping, and riding on everything from gravel to rough streets and places I probably shouldn't have tried to take the bike with these tiresIf the majority of your riding is on the asphalt and concrete these tires are great. They work well in packed dirt too (just be careful).I ride with a higher PSI 55-60 and the rolling resistance is MUCH improved over the old knobby tires I had originally.Last but not least.. They are not bad to look at (at least to me).. Cool thread pattern and logo placements, not overdone!

I use a mountain bike for my commute mainly because of the dirt road I live on but I wanted (needed) a tire that wouldn't drag me down on the highway. These fit the bill perfectly. I started commuting (part dirt road, part pavement) as sort of a fluke and at 9200 feet above sea level, I need all the help I can get. These tires are as close to a road bike tire as far as resistance and feel that I can imagine that also work well on moderate dirt roads with no flat issues. I'm surprised they are not more prevalent. Maybe people think because they are so cheap, they can't be good. Uhh.. wait... don't buy 'em. The price will go up!!!

This tire is light, quiet, and has low rolling resistance. Coasting distances are impressive, with nearly no tire hum at all. I use these tires in general recreational use, with about 90% pavement / 10% hard packed dirt. They also seem to handle grass and some loose sand OK, even though that is probably not their intended use. The difference bewteeen these Michelins and cheap bargain basement tires is pretty dramatic. I used to think that bike tires were all pretty much the same. I learned that the tires and tubes make a tremendous difference in how a bicycle performs. I would definitely buy the Country Rock's again.

I've had a pair of these now for a year, used for commuting to work 16 miles a day on mainly canal and tarmac cycle paths. From the moment I fit them life riding to work has been easier, faster and more quiet, had a few flats when they were new but that to be expected and I think that was more to do with the surface that was been ridden on.Like other reviewers have said they're from one of the biggest and best tyre companies in the world so they are no issues with quality.I highly recommend these tyres and will be buying again when the time comes no matter what the price.?

I like most everything about these tires. The look great, roll extremely smoothly, and even have much more traction than I would expect on trails. The one issue is the tread pattern seems to pick up glass shards and force them into the tire. After an 80 mile ride with three flats, I opted for some Slime tubes. Problem solved. Since then, I've had two glass shards that become apparent when the green Slime started spitting out of the tire. Stop, pull out the glass shard and problem solved - the Slime tubes do their thing and I continue riding.

I've tried a lot of different 26" street tires ranging from cheap Kendas to very expensive Contis, and this mid-priced tire from Michelin is the best combination of comfort, speed, and wet grip I've found. It's tenacious on concrete and asphalt, even in a rainstorm, and just big enough to provide complete protection against snakebite flats. I don't know if it has anything in the way of a puncture resistant layer, but I've worn the tread off two in an urban setting without getting a single flat. A great choice for city riders and commuters.

Michelin Country Rock Bike Tire. Very Good Choice I Made. They don't look like much when they arrive compared to the wider and heavier knobby tires, But... I don't do heavy trail riding and the original knobby tires were a real drag on asphalt pavement and caused some fatigue. These Michelin tires are awesome! smooth ride, little to barely no roll resistance and easy maneuverability. at 19.75 ounces they are very light and look great (see my pictures of the Blue Next Voyager I posted) Highly Recommended.

Had the tires a few years now and am buying another set for my wife's bike. Have been very pleased with them. I use then mostly on paved roads/paths with some off road. Off road is fine for most uses but you definitely give up some traction on slippery muddy surfaces compared to knobby tires. Trade off is well worth it for the riding I do as performance on paved surfaces is far superior to knobby tires. But if you do a lot of riding on muddy trails I would not recommend them.

I've been riding on these for a few weeks now and I'm happy with them. Smooth and quiet ride, holds well on loose gravel and dirt roads, I was worried that they would slip or follow the ruts when I moved off of the edge of the paved roads onto the dirt medians to avoid traffic, but they held firm. No problems with flats and I have the pressure pumped up real high, I'm a bigger guy and with my weight and the high tire pressure on sharp gravel I've had no problems.

I put these on my old mountain bike and it's much more pleasant to ride on the paved trails! Tire noise and rolling resistance decrease noticeably. No problem with flats after 100+ miles. You can still do tight packed gravel and dirt with these tires, but you lose a lot of cornering capability in loose materials. Almost lost the front end in some loose gravel the other day. As long as you're sticking mostly to pavement, these are the way to go!
