The kids seem to love this thing. The Unboxing experience is designed to be a big part of the toys appeal for children, and something that they will want to do over an over. The idea is that this is a small monster which has been locked in a crate. The child uses the attached 'crowbar' to first break open the padlock and then pry open the crate (both done by pushing the crowbar into the appropriate slots), upon which the monster is pushed up via the spring-loaded platform it is stood on and opens the lid.The monster itself is built well and makes lots of sounds based on the orientation it is being held in. It shouts and rumbles when you pull its tongue and its eyes light up. It spends a lot of time slurping, burping and trumping which is the most hilarious thing to my two young boys. Each comes with a piece of food which they respond to when it is pushed into their mouth, but my children have had difficulty pushing these into the monsters hands securely, and have quickly become lost. The toy is good, and I feel the ability to release the monster from its crate over and over again has added a lot of mileage to something which would have otherwise been buried in the toy box.

Bought this for my 7 yr old for Christmas, it was in the Black Friday sale - he hadn’t asked for it, but it made a good addition to his presents and we were really pleased with how good it is. The box can be kept I’ve added a photo - it has a lock that is opened by the crowbar and then the box is opened with the crowbar all good fun. The monster toy itself is great very good quality, lights up, moves it’s wings when you squeeze the tail and make loads of great noises, but the best feature is the recording device- push the button on the belly and it records what you say and plays it back in a monster voice. My son is having lots of fun recording is all and playing it back. Very pleased. It takes 3 AA batteries and although it comes with batteries inside I would have some spare as the demo batteries don’t last long.

It reminded me of 90s toys like Boglins and My Pet Monster. The box is cool, you use the bottom of the crowbar to open the padlock and chain and the the top end to push the button to open the box and the monster pops out.You click his horn to make eyes spin (sometimes it got stuck but you can manually nudge it and it rolls Into normal position easily. Pull his tongue to make him scream and vibrate. Feed him pizza and you can record if you hold his tummy for ten second and when light flashes record your voice, then play back when you press his tummy. When put him back in box he snores...Kids loved it. It has a heavy feel to it. The material elements could be a bit more premium, especially around the Velcro section where battery and on button are. However, this is not really a concern.

I bought this for my brother's son, and I have to say he wouldn't let it go. He loved the voice changer and kept recording messages to give to his family. Just to note, when a kid pulls this thing's tongue it keeps screaming and shaking until they let it go, which is more funny than irritating (to my surprise). It is a really animated little toy and the cage, lock and crow bar are all a nice touch. This one feels like a real find as a gift, which is always a good sign of quality.

Makes noises, eyes flash, vibrates.. Isn't annoying as the sound isn't continuous and is only when being played with. Think the eyes roll when top right is pressed and there is a button on the belly too.. Used batteries it came with and have lasted well. Only thing is sometimes the eyes need adjusting when they change colour to keep them in place.(I would like to add that the second one I bought had no battery left and was abit disappointing on Christmas Day.)

Could not have been more of a hit with 4 year old nephew! He absolutely loves playing with this, the crate and chain are a nice addition as he liked to put the monster in/out - in/out all day!Makes great noises. Seem sturdy and the tounge seems to be able to handle some serious pulling. 7 year old brother loved playing with it and the adults loved recording silly voices too.Great toy, highly recommend!

Did everything it says on the tin and my boys are delighted. They did arrive with completely flat batteries in them though and were switched off, so I imagine they have been previously owned or ex demo. After searching the house for as many AA batteries as possible we managed to get them up and running.Greatly loved by the kids, not so much by the adults!!

I didnt expect them to be so big but they're a great size and very well made. I was expecting the crate to be made of cardboard or flimsy plastic but it is extremely sturdy and I bought them on sale so it's a win all around. My monster obsessed son will love these. They light up and record your voice and the crate is reusable

Love this, great present for my son. The creature comes in a crate that is opened by using a crow bar that is on the side of the crate to open the padlock and can be reused again and again. The creature can record your voice too and makes wierd noises when tongue pulled. Would recommend

Lovely toy, cute but gross in the same breath. Make weird and wonderful noises that my son loves and voice recording, although only 10 seconds long good fun. Breaking them out the create is fun, which you can keep doing, not a one time like lots of toys! my 9 & 7 year old love them.

Just bought this but my four year old grandson loves it. I have never seen him laugh so much about a toy when he records something . He loves the crate and chain and crowbar.Only had it for one day bit it has given enormous pleasure. Hopefully he will continue to enjoy it as much.

My son was given some money and chose to spent it on this, I was thinking it would be a waste of money and he wouldn’t bother with it after a day but he has hardly let it leave his side. He loves it! He enjoys that it can record and likes the crate it comes in

What can I say this was very good value for money for £7.97 and my little girl just loves it and her mummy and daddy have fun with it to all round value good quality very very good playful item would only recommend for any girl or boy would have hours of fun

Comes in a sturdy crate and product seems well made. It’s smaller than I thought but that’s makes it easier for the kids to carry around recording their messages. Voice recorder doesn’t really distort voice that much, but my boys still love them.
