Daughters, ages 4 and almost 2, love this dolls house. It's very heavy so not easy to move around so choose your space for it. Took a while to assemble on Christmas Eve (I love assembling flat pack), wasn't difficult, instructions were pretty clear but could have done with each piece being numbered or similar. Once it was assembled, I moved it to the space I wanted it in for the impending stampede the following morning but unfortunately, the roof bit I had hold of came off in my hand so the screws clearly hadn't fixed properly. Missed having some wood glue which would have been useful. Will have to find a tack and some glue to ensure it stays in place in future. Only real problem I have with it is due to it being so heavy,

We've had this toy for almost 9 months and it is played with every day by our 3 and 4 year old daughters. It hasn't broken at all despite the kids pushing and pulling toys in and out of the windows, pushing them through the front door and forcing them up and down the stairs. Youngest child was 2 when we bought it and has climbed on it too (though we have discouraged this!) It is large enough for 2 children to play with it at once (with some co-operation). Ours sits on the floor, away from the wall so that the kids can play with it from all sides. We bought 6 'Le Toy Van' Daisy Lane furniture sets to go with it and they fill it.

Well it has taken me over 2 hours to construct - but it is definitely worth it!Melissa and Doug's Victorian Dolls House is beautifully constructed and decorated both inside and out. So many Dolls Houses you have blank walls and floors inside - this has printed wooden floors, tiles in the kitchen and bathroom and very cute nursery in the loft. The windows and doors are beautiful framed and the staircases are a rich mahogany colour.Overall it is quite a tricky construction but I managed to build it solo in a little over 2 hours.The screws can be a bit of a job getting in - so you will need a decent cross-head screwdriver.

Comes flat packed but well worth it. You can certainly understand and appreciate why once you've achieved the assembling. Just bare this in mind and allow assembly time prior to presenting. It adds to gift being able at least do that part, at least it was for us for our daughters birthday. Melissa and Doug have absolutely perfected all the detailed pieces, with the beautifully done interior, walls, floor, cieling and exterior.If you want a house to decorate yourself then this might not be the one. Otherwise this is perfect. We've had ours (well my daughter) for 5 years now we'll used yet fully intact and sturdy and still in beutiful condition.I still remember how pleased we were with it and how she loved it.

Dolls house is very good value for money especially as we got super saver delivery and 40% off the rrp. My step daughter couldn't be happier with it. Decoration is lovely perfect for a toy, maybe not so great for a collector but this IS a toy. Both girls have been addicted to playing with it (even the Tom boy).Excellent purchase.Easy self assembly if a little time consuming, only possible improvement would have to be labeling of components for faster assembly, with small amount of trial and error the house was finished in under three hours.Would def recommend to others.

This doll house is fantastic and I can't wait for my 6 year old daughter to open it Christmas day! I did a lot of research on the internet looking for the right doll house and I wasn't disappointed when I ordered this one. It arrived promptly, packaging was great and assembly was actually very easy and straight forward - took about 2 hours in all. The interior and exterior decoration are superb and the detail beautiful. I just love the wooden staircases. It is sturdy and I would definitely recommend.

It was really well packaged with individual packs inside one large box, which made putting it together (initially) feel really daunting. However, a couple of hours later and it was all together, with no head-scratching or swearing!!! The quality is incredible, especially given the competitive price, and the detail unsurpassed. Toy for my daughter's tenth birthday in first instance, but actually foresee this being a bit of an heirloom. In short, it's gorgeous.

My husband put it together and he builds furniture for a living. After lots of complaining about the instructions he assembled it, but if you havnt got the right tools it is pretty difficult, it took him roughly 2 hours, so if it is a present make sure you start early with the assembly.It is a lovely house and i was pleased with the final result.Only thing was that the front door was cracked, but luckily we managed to repair it with special glue and paint.

My husband built the house and it is gorgeous when he finished I asked how do you open it he told me you don't you turn it round! So the beautiful front with the stair case wouldn't be seen! The whole of the back is open so I would need to lift it every time for my daughter to play with it and its not light! Either that or just keep it with the open side but you would never see the best part of the house (the front)! We sent it back :-(

This dolls house is beautiful very easy to assemble ,very sturdy and ready to start furnishing , I am a crafter and dollshouse enthusiasts and though this is more for kids than adult's I bought it for myself as I loved its shape and could not resist the price and though I plan to redecorate both inside and out in the mean time it can sit looking pretty while I decide what changes i wish to make

This was/is a beautiful piece, but didnt realise that it had to be assembled, thought it was already done. In all it took about 6 hours with about 4 people doing it, but the result was worth it. My granddaughter loves it and I think it will be with her for a long time to come

I was prepared for war when we started building the house so my daughter would have it on Christmas morning, but it was really easy if you look at the instructions which are easy to follow. The different parts fit very well, really good finish. It was a hit!

A brilliant dolls house. comes flat packed with easy to follow instructions, it's screwed together and all screws are the same size. Built for our Great Granddaughter's Birthday. A very nice present too!!

i have been looking ages for dolls house i like this dying to buy it and gradually add the furniture as you go a long i saw other dolls houses didnt like the wooden furniture i think its class

Oh what a fabulous house! It did take us 2hrs to assemble but was worth the effort and very easy instructions to follow! Nice and sturdy granddaughter loved it!! Will keep her happy for years
