Last week, I bought this puzzle for my 18 month old boys who are showing an interest in counting everything, and puzzles are very much their thing. I liked the reviews form other people and bought this puzzle. It may be still very early days and my boys need more time to become more familiar with this particular puzzle, as at the moment they are not very patient to work out where the numbers should go. Working that out is not as obvious in this puzzle (which is not a negative!), as for example, number 3 and number 8 can be misplaced and fit the hole well. But when all the numbers are taken out and put on the side, my kids want to count the little images on the puzzle. The pins are not a problem for little hands,

i cant recommend this item highly enough, great fun, great educational value and a well made thick puzzle that will last for more than one generation of children in my opinion if looked after .my daughter is 22 months old and was desperate for more puzzles, i knew this brand had a good reputation and loved the pictures so went for it, the value for money is great compared with other puzzles of a lesser quality but higher price.my daughter has managed to work out where they all go easily but has not tired of repeating the puzzle which also means its great for learning the numbers and counting.this is an all round bargain toy in a classic styleworth buying

Melissa and Doug are a little overpriced but still cheaper than a certain pig brand. This numbers game was great for teaching my son. After a month he can recognise all the numbers and orientate them correctly to differentiate between 6 and 9. The size is good for little hands although the handles are made of hard plastic about the size of a large nail, so they can hurt little ones feet if they step on them as my son has a few times. The numbers are shaped well without drowning out the number in images of animals etc. A good learning tool.

My 2 year old loves puzzles and loves numbers, so this was suppose to be perfect....The pieces fit together very well and the pictures underneath are a lovely bonus. The pegs for picking up the numbers are just right for little fingers.My only negative comment and the reason for 4 stars is, if you have a child who still puts everything in their mouth, the wood retains moisture and the paper printing starts to come off.I do recommend this product, but if you want it to stay perfect, keep away from your little one's mouth!

if ure one of those parents who just buys a toy to keep a child entertained then this inside numbers peg puzzle isnt for you. at first glance it looks like an ordinary counting board...but if u like getting involved with ur child, u can use ur imagination to make-up games as u go. like my one yr old...i take out some pegs n ask whts the missing number or making number sentences...the list is endless but generally a gud and safe toy with rounded edges.

my 2 and a half year old loves this puzzle, she has mastered where all the pieces fit and is slowly learning the numbers, she loves the pictues as they are bright,colourful and fun (we also rate the abc version)i thought they were slightly overpriced but im glad i brought them as they are well used! the pieces are chunky with a nice sized peg (much better than non-pegged number puzzles)so easy for little fingers to manage x

Its the same issue for all these M&D puzzles, the paper needs to be better laminated. After a few weeks of use it looks scuffed and worn, paper damaged in places, stickers on the numbers are coming off. Before that it looked really nice and my son loved it. Because of the poor durability of the paper/sticker on the board and numbers, its not really a lasting product that can be wiped clean and kept a long time.

I bought this for a little girl for her 2nd birthday and she LOVES it! It's a bit more challenging and difficult than the really easy ones that I seemed to find in ELC and other toy shops, yet easy to hold onto the little handles on each number. Helping her learn her numbers, counting, and spacial relations in the puzzle. Great quality wood. Overall, a great purchase and would definitely recommend!

This puzzle was an instant hit with my two year old. It is a very good quality and colourful puzzle with bright pictures underneath the letter pegs to help aid letter recognition. My two year old found the pegs themselves easy to handle and manipulate. They have smooth edges which make them easier to place in the correct gaps, unlike some puzzles. All round excellent value for money.

absolutely brilliant puzzle would highly recommend. nice solid pieces and added educational value with the pictures to count underneath which add more to the puzzle than just putting it in right place. my 2,4 and 5 years old sons all love this so excellent long lasting value as puzzle for younger children and helping them recognise numbers and count as they develop. really pleased.

This is great for teaching numbers. Before I opened the packaging I thought the product was damaged - it looked as though there was card numbers falling off - this was not the case when I opened up the packaging, it is simply the card on the packaging that make it look damaged. The product was in perfect condition and my 2yo loves playing with it

I bought this for my grandchild who is nearly three years old. The pegs are sturdy and make the pieces easy to handle. They can be fitted by matching the shape outline or counting the number of objects on the base board of each number and so the puzzle can be played independently -just matching the shapes or with guidance -counting the objects.

Excellent quality product and very educational. Slight problem that the number 3 fits into the number 8 hole-my 2 year old grandaughter doesn't understand that its the wrong one.She tries matching the colours which doesn't work but we wanted it as more of a challenge for her -she's getting there. Will grow with her when she begins to count.

What can I say. Its another brilliant toy from Melissa & Dough. So beautifully made. Really fun and totally education. Ideal for children learning numbers. My two year old grandson can now count to nine. Thoroughly recommended. A brilliant piece of kit. Arrived two days after ordering.

I love it!and my daughter she dont stop on playing with this puzzle is amazing tottalyy perfect for staring to count or just for fun already she knows how and where to arange back the leters this product is chip but a best product till now from what i was buying thank you!!!
