I bought this for my five year old grandaughter who had just missed her longed-for school outing to a farm because she had chickenpox. She was thrilled with it and adores all her horses, has given them names and continually rearranges them in the stalls. She is someone who, unlike her twin brother, likes to have her toys arranged in groups and rows around her room and spends a long time in imaginative play when all her toys take part. It is such a pleasure to have given her something which has given her so much delight. The horses are very nicely made, there is some information about each kind of horse and the little stalls are individually decorated.

My daughter received this as a Christmas present this year. I'd seen it before online but didn't realise that the horses are all 'fuzzy' (ie different from a Schleich or Britains horse) and have little fuzzy or hair manes and tails and are thus quite tactile and different. (They are a little larger than Britains and a little smaller than Schleich if you were trying to mix them in btw) Sweet box with different scenes to the compartments and it is such fun to put them back after play in their own compartments. If I were to criticise I'd say they were a little lightweight/flimsy (don't know how durable they will be in a 2yr old's hands!)

I bought this for my grandson's 4th birthday at the end of January. He has not gone anywhere without them since! The horses are just the right size for small hands to hold, are sturdy and stand up well. He has given them all names and knows which compartment each one 'lives' in. I was so pleased to find a 'horsey' present suitable for a boy: so many are pink, with girl riders etc. Boys love horses too! It is good value for 12 horses and Amazon's service was very speedy. One happy grandson and very satisfied grandmother.

These are really cute little horses, we love the velvety coats and their long, soft tails and manes. They are a tad on the small side, but you are getting twelve for a great price. They stand up well which is a must, surprising how many cheaper horsse models don't. What I really don't like is the crate. It's all splintery round the edges and there's no way to keep the horses inside. I've had to buy a Melissa and Doug stable, which I really hope won't dwarf the horses, because they're just totally impractical this way.

I bought this set for my son,he's very interested in animals so I thought I'd see if he was keen on this.The horses are good quality and are a good light weight and size for his little hands to hold,they are covered in a kind of fuzzy felt,so not sure how long they'll hold up before showing signs of damage.minor gripe was the elastic holding the horses in place in the packaging was very tight and left some indentation on some of the horses bodies when removed.

Melissa and Doug's Pasture Pals is a really lovely toy, twelve individual beautifully modelled little flock hirses with soft maynes and tails would attract any child who loves ponies - I bought them for my four grandchildre aged from two and a half to seven. They had three each and loved playing with them together and then taking them home. Would always recommend Melissa and Doug toys - always high quality.

Very nice horse reproductions, quite realistic and very pretty. Soft fur and hair. Just a bit difficult to store, they fall out of the original box and if put flat it takes too much space. They ended up in a box together with other animals. Handy multilingual description on the back of the box. Great present for horse addicted children!

We bought this for our 4 year old daughter who is mad about horses. She was thrilled when she opened the package and has had hours of enjoyment from it. She loves the little compartments that each horse goes in and loves to put each of them to bed at night. Very pleased with this product and would definitely recommend anyone to buy it.

Lovely little horses! The set tells you what kind of horse each one of them is too. I also like that they all have soft/textured finish, which makes them very different from some other toy horses.I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because I would have loved if the horses heads were movable. But Overall a lovely and very beautiful set!

Lovely flocked horses with their breeds printed on their sturdy storage box. It encourages children to put them away after playing. Like hard animals but when stroking feel like velvet. Great as they add on and go with the other Melissa and Doug collection of horses etc

This is a lovely quality gift, and so cute. I managed to get this at a greta price too which is a bonus. I bought this for my daughters 3rd birthday and she loves it! Looks lovely on a shelf in her room. Good quality as always from Melissa & Doug

Purchased this for Christmas but left it under the bed oopsy! Santa re-delivered reciently and one happy little girl, kept the litle one quiet for a while. Lovely little horses and comes in a wooden keepsake box. A great gift for horse mad kids!

We bought these for my husbands disabled daughter who loves going horse riding. We struggle with what to buy her for christmas, and were delighted when they arrived, A perfect size for her to handle, A perfect christmas present for her.

7year old granddaughter loves this toy. It's great for sorting as well as imaginative play. All the horses have different names and characters. They are solid with a covering of fuzz and a soft mane and tail.

I brought this for my girls for Christmas. I know they will love it. I like that the horses have a nice soft coat. I can see my girls playing with these for hours. I recommend to others.
