As part of my job I visit schools to teach children about looking after dogs and staying safe around dogs (including greeting a dog appropriately and behaviour around dogs that are eating, in their bed, etc.). I had a border collie (of unknown brand!) helping me out, but poor Shep got a few holes in his belly and was bleeding polystyrene 'beans', plus was a bit bulky for getting on the bus, so he has now gone into retirement.Patch is the new pup, and is absolutely fantastic. My only concern is that being predominantly white he might get grubby, then I will have to test how well he washes up. But it is a very realistic Jack Russell size, shape and colour - he even has dark rings around his eyes - and I have been stopped and asked 'is that real?'

My 2-year old daughter is a bit obsessed with dogs at this age and was looking for a stuffed animal at about the size of a real one.As soon as the delivery guy delivered this parcel and we got it out of the box, my young one loved it and spend numerous hours playing with it.I am always cautious with any toys for this age, but 1.5 month later I cannot report any negative about this toy. It's strong enough to withstand the abuse of a toddler and no eyes or anything seem dangerous to be choked etc. We bought another stuffed animal couple days ago and Melissa & Doug was our choice again (again met our highest expectations!)It feels of excellent quality and very soft,

Best dog I’ve ever owned.He has what can only be described as an SAS level of concentration and aggression in his stare - you will be dead before he backs down. That being said, he’s lovely with the kids.Such is his constitution, I’ve yet to feed him and I’ve owned him 6 weeks. He’s also not shat anywhere, leading me to believe my house training has paid off and he’s actually using the downstairs toilet more reliably than my 6 year old.I was particularly impressed when I came down one morning to find the cold corpse of a gypsy tea leaf lying mangled in front of the mutt. I’m still under police investigation for that,

Imagine a teenager seeing a naked women for the first time - this is how my 1+ year old daughter reacts to dogs when she sees them. She has a few "cartoony" soft dogs, but none of them make her as happy as real dogs do. So it was a logical choice for me to buy a life-like soft toy and I must say the reaction was more than positive. She was playing with her a lot yesterday, so I'm happy. The dog itself is really nice - looks a lot like a real thing and the size is perfect. It seem to have a "skeleton", so it stands perfectly even when my daughter is hugging the creature. It's way better than a real dog for me - I like cats way more (and don't like pets in general),

I just knew I had purchased a good looking 'doggie' for our godchild, when I saw a local pet shop displaying dog coats on this little fellow. (It still had it's Melissa & Doug label attached!)It was just so life like. The seven year old recipient was also delighted with her new 'pet' and has taken it around with her everywhere. Even her Mummy had trouble putting it down, it was so cute. I bought a puppy collar & lead for it, as I felt she would like that and made a blanket for it to sleep on, so I guess the new addition will be really 'at home' and taken care of, very well.So if you are thinking of a pet substitute for a child not allowed any, who might also have allergies, I would recommend this very highly.

I bought this dog as he looked lifelike and lifesize on the ad. I wasn't wrong; he is an excellent lifelike model of a Jack Russell terrier; He is ideal as a model for our business of manufacturing and selling dog coats and helps immensley to demonstrate our products. I would imagine he would also make a great toy for a small child if it's parents cannot have a real dog; also a good "pre-pet" and good for a child's imaginary pet.. his fur is lifelike and such a telling face! I have looked twice at times when he has caught my eye when entering the workroom!... Nice price too; usually, you would pay twice as much or more for this item. Very sturdy and no sharp bits to be found.All in all,

#metooWithin seconds of me taking this out the bag my teenage Jack Russell dog was riding it like there was no tomorrow. I've had this for a couple of months now and it gets beaten up and humped regularly every day and other than being a bit frayed and tattered around the tail area and the back of the neck it has stood up well to the s.exual abuse. The internal frame means that it can be picked up by my dog, placed on its feet, and then subjected to another session of hardcore humping. I have recommended this to friends. It also serves to keep my JR company when I'm out and he cuddles up to it. He's romantic that way...I'm just about to order another one for the entertainment value.

When I received this dog I was shocked to see how small it was. I was expecting to see a large dog (like the dogs you win on the fairground). The dog measures 22" from the back legs to the tip of its nose and 14" from the back legs to the front legs.With it being a small dog it isn't in the way when it stands on the floor. The tail curls up and over it's back and not like the tail in the photo where it sticks out at the back.My 2 year old daughter loves to cuddle up to the dog. The dog is sturdy and very well made.Yes I would recommend this product.

My grand daughter wants a dog - but until her brother is a little older it's not possible... so Berty, as he's now called, is the ideal solution!He is SO realistic that my Mother's cat hissed and snarled at him - all hackles raised - and a friend's cat ran away!He has a kennel and a real collar, a dog-lead & toys, a drinking bowl and outdoor boots as well as a mat and a little puppy companion well as a sleeping bag!He has been to school twice where his quiet behaviour has been much praised. The perfect pet :)))

I AM BLIND I use the computer with the aid of specialised audible assistive software. (NVDA)My 2-year-old grandson totally love dogs but because they live in rented accommodation he's unable to have a real dog my solution is for him to keep this at my house so he can come to see his Grumpad at the same time as his dog.It's totally house trained does not require food - perfect pet, I think I'll get someone to put castors on it and a collar and lead then he can `walk ` it along the street.

This dog was bought in June 2015 as 'Companion' for my Westie as he suffers with separation anxiety. He LOVES it every night. He also plays with it shaking it by the legs and will share his chair with it. Considering the hard wear my dog puts it through it is still in very good condition, only needs a wipe over with a damp cloth to bring it up to new looking. Would but again if I found it necessary, but at this rate I don't think I will for a long time. Very good buy.

I ( as a real-dog wanting adult ) was given this dog as a present and as a pick-me-up. It really made me smile and has become part of the family in a way as we move it from room to room. It is very solid and when my partner first walked into the room, momentarily, he thought it was real ! It has character and presence, and looks nice around the place. It is a bit of fun, nice to cuddle and even to talk to ..... a toy dog not just for children I think....

A real plus looks so lovely all the children were talking to it at the craft fare. Saw one used by a dog trainer and I must admit it looks so life like, called mine Terry just to be different. Would recommend not only if you use as a model but as a guard dog as it does give the impression a dog is in the house although obviously not when you get close but may deter, I suppose. Arrived well within time well packed and exactly as described would recommend.

This was bought as a 'guess the name of the dog' prize, for a school coffee morning fundraiser, it proved HUGELY popular with the children!It is such an attractive toy, beautifully made and realistic, it really is a quality toy and would make a wonderful gift!It is made with a metal frame which sounds unpleasant but, means the dog is positionable and yet still soft and cuddly, highly recommended, there are other dog breeds available in the range too.

My dogs pictured love it they really are funny all cuddled up together, it is quite sturdy and well put together which makes a change nowadays, and there legs are posable, as they normally rip things up in secs, with them being terriers with little sharp teeth, I think they have adopted it as one of there pack. I wish I had found it years ago and I would of saves pounds on inferior toys.D M.
