This comes in a box measuring 15" x 4.5" x 11.5" so it looks like a substantial gift.It features a musical train. There are two carriages to the train with wheels. You push down the funnel and it plays a happy little tune and toots. It's not too loud and quite delightful. This works by means of a AAA battery which is included. This arrives ready to go.Aboard the train are around 25 building blocks with platforms. It's a little bit like giant Lego. It's brightly coloured, and there is plenty of play scope, here. My two year old granddaughter loves anything she can pull along, anything colourful and anything that makes a noise, so the Mega Bloks ABC Musical Train was right up her street. Added to this, she is very keen to learn her letters and colours so being able to do so in a play environment is a great advantage.This toy comes in pieces that need to be assembled using the supplied instructions. All parts push together, so no tools are required, except for a small cross-head screwdriver to open the compartment to change the single AAA battery. However, as it comes with a battery already installed, this isn’t immediately necessary.Press the button in the top of the smokestack and the train toots and plays the “ABC” tune.

As to be expected from Mega Bloks this set is filled with bright, colourful and chunky pieces perfect for little hands.We are usually a Lego household but have always used Mega Bloks as a first stepping stone simply because their blocks are huge in comparison to Duplo and so a perfect starter and entrance into the world of building.The really cute thing about this set is that your child is able to build the train and when they push the steam block at the top it plays the ABC song but they need to press it three times in succession to complete the song.A lovely set and the musical element makes it even more fun for little hands.

Our recently arrived grand daughter loves this train set. It appears very well made of a soft plastic with lots of very colourful carriages and bricks. The bricks slot into each other and can be stacked on or off the train. Really helps with the development of motor skills, co-ordination and spacial awareness. Having letters on they can also be used to help a child learn the alphabet and the spelling of simple words. The train itself also makes a variety of musical sounds when its pushed along. All the pieces are too large for a toddler to choke on, so it appears nice and safe. Great fun and educational too

Suitable for children ages 1+, this cheerful, ABC musical train has fifty pieces. The train has a cheerful face and a button on the funnel which, when pressed, plays the ABC song and hoots.The blocks are colourful and include all the letters of the alphabet. These are capital letters, which children in the US learn first – whereas we normally start with lower case letters. That is something to be aware of, but still, there are lots of learning opportunities here – not only the letters, but also colours, and, of course, the blocks encourage motor skills. Lots of fun, well made and colourful.

The cons are that The carriages detached easily, some blocks dont click togather as its loose, others do, the Pros are that my 13 year old still managed to have fun playing with it , he just pushes the first carriage without the other carriages attached as they just detach themselves during play, he has managed to stack the blocks on top of each other ( despite some being lose, which wobbles) with me holding on to it , to keep steady, he also likes to pick and place each block into a empty box then tip it out & fill it up again. The toy is very bright and colourful, train makes fun noise

It's hard to find a toy this good for the price, it can be enjoyed by babies and toddlers alike. The engine has such a happy facial expression and the funnel is very easy for little hands to press to hear the music play. All parts are easy to assemble and I was unable to find a single bit of rough plastic that may have scratched, it is very well made. Each letter of the alphabet may be stacked up to make words or used on the trucks, I think any child would like to find this waiting under the tree for them.

This alphabet train is a typically high quality Fisher Price product. It's big, bold and colourful, fun as well as educational. You've got the stackable ABC letter blocks, you've got a train, you've got the three sections of the train to fit together, and it makes train sounds (requiring one AAA battery, already installed so that it can be sampled within the packaging. Just great.There are other Mega Bloks products available, large Lego like interlocking blocks, and this is compatible with them.

This is such a lovely brighly coloured toy that it's sure to catch the attention of any child. It makes sounds and comes with a large collection of bricks to stack either on or off the train. The blocks also have letters on them which is a nice extra touch, helpful to teach the alphabet and make simple words. It's a lovely educational toy which will encourage motor skills, teach letters and colours, and above all, be fun.

This mega bloks musical train comes with 50 pieces, that are compatible with other mega bloks sets. The set has three wheel bases to build on, and has the whole alphabet printed on the pieces, from A-Z. The main train engine smoke stack, has a button that little one can press, which plays little ditty's, train toots and whistles. It is a safe toy for babies over the age of 12 months, with nice chunky blocks.

Our grandson,who's nearly 2,loves trains and blocks,so getting this for him was a no-brainer. He can stack the blocks onto the train or build them up separately,and press the button on the train for music and train sounds.He's a bit young to understand what the letters mean,but it's a fun introduction to the alphabet,and excellent value; he plays with it for ages.

Comes with a variety of mega bloks to allow the construction of a train which plays a fun train sound and tune when the funnel is pressed. The bloks are easy for really young children to assemble and work with existing sets. Easy to push around and will provide valuable minutes of distraction for the littlest of adventurers!

A Christmas present for my neice who desperately wants to play with ehr big brothers toys! Blocks AND a train? Perfect! Now her brother can play with his Lego and his train set in peace (or at least, I hope he can!) She can build or play at pulling a train, and make all the noise she wants (sorry mums and dads!).

So any parent will be driven mad by the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star recording (bet you don't change the battery when it runs out). An adult will need to ram the wheels on the trucks. The smallish building cubes are a simplified Duplo and will get EVERYWHERE. it has play value, but be prepared to help at first.

I gave this to a one year old and a three year old and their eyes were like saucers, jaws on the floor. I wasn't expecting such an impact but they loved it! Nice and chunky, building blocs, something that wheels around, a nice noise when you press the funnel, lots of bright colours, what's not to like!?
