As a consumer who has been wearing liquid eyeliner for the majority of my life, I am always searching for that 'holy grail' item. The eyeliner that glides on like a dream, is highly pigmented, has a perfectly shaped brush for drawing razor sharp wings and one that lasts throughout the whole day without fading or budging. Sadly, this item isn't it, and although my search continues, I am still highly impressed with this Maybelline pocket rocket!First of all, I was slightly concerned when the eyeliner arrived without a plastic seal on it, and I began to wonder if it was a genuine product or if it had been tampered with. In my experiemce, a low priced product is usually too good to be true, and as I clicked open the lid, I did feel dubious. However, one quick swipe along my eyelid and I immediately started paying attention- that brush is seriously precise and the colour is such a deep, dark black. I went about my usual make up routine and had high hopes for this eyeliner's staying power.Fast forward a busy 12 hours later and it was time for me to remove my make up- but first, I assessed the damage. The wing tips I had drawn on had began to fade slightly at the edges and that deep black colour had faded to a charcoal grey.Despite the longevity issues, I am still pleased with the product- that initial application in the morning looked like I had used a high end product, not one at under a fiver! So if you're looking for a reasonably priced, reliable, high performance eyeliner and don't mind topping up your eye make up in the afternoon, the Maybelline Hyper Precise Liquid Eyeliner is the one for you

I was asked to review The "Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner", but as I was sent The " Maybelline illegal Definition Mascara" this is what I will review. I'm sorry that this review is not for the eyeliner as that is what I really wanted to try and review, However the Mascara is as you would expect from Maybelline, very good quality and great value for money.. The colour I was sent is Black and has a very flexible wand. The wand is the type that has very small fibres and therefore gives great definition and length. The shape of the wand fibres makes it less likely to clump the eyelashes together. The mascara is easy to apply and as it is not waterproof,It's very easy to remove with cleanser or good old fashioned soap and water. The volume is 7.1 ml which makes it very fairly priced for a good quality product. I will purchase this make of Mascara again. I'm glad I've had the chance to try the mascara, BUT AM STILL DISSAPOINTED I DIDN'T GET TO TRY THR EYELINER, however I will just have to buy the eyeliner for myself. The "Maybelline illegal Definition Mascara" gets 5* from me folks.

I have used plenty of liquid eyeliners over the years from all different brands. I have to say i have 2 favourites with one being this and the other being a liquid eyeliner by Stila. When choosing a liquid eyeliner i pick one with a thinner tip as i feel you have more control over how thick you want the line, also you can build it up without starting to thick. This features a smooth 0.4mm felt tip which never dries so always ready to use. Its very precise with a nice slim tip and provides a continuous line without dragging or skipping. A spring cap keeps the formula fresh. This product is safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. To use, start at inner corner of upper eye and flare outward. There are mixed reviews regarding this product but for me i find it perfect. I love the precision of the tip and also how long it lasts when applied. This has lasted me a while and has never let me down. I think its ideal for beginners as its easy to use. This product can be a little bit difficult to remove so I use an oil based makeup remover and cotton pad which works well.

I've never worn a lot of make-up, but eyeliner is one of the things I do use on a semi-regular basis (even though I'm still using the same pencil after something like two decades). Previous experiments with liquid eyeliner have not been particularly successful as I've found the brush very difficult to control with any degree of precision.Thankfully, the Maybelline Precision Liquid Eyeliner is more like a fine felt-tipped brush-pen, making it much easier to control and actually get the liner where you want it. It applies well and dries quickly, but you'll still have time to create a softer smudged effect before it does. It also didn't sting or irritate my eyes, even when used on the inside lower lid.It has good staying power as well - I deliberately didn't take it off one night and was impressed to see most of it left the next morning, What little did transfer to the pillowcase came out easily. Despite this, it does clean off easily with makeup remover. This eyeliner has now been added to my makeup bag as a permanent addition - highly recommended.

Colour under review: BrownMaybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner looks a little like a fibre tip pen you'd pick up in WH Smiths and it brought back memories of drawing "makeup" on my Sindy dolls with felt tip pens. The packaging looks a little cheaper than I've come to expect from Maybelline, but that might just be personal taste. The product is in fact an extra fine tipped liquid eyeliner. This gives excellent control and applies easily, drying quickly but without a feeling of tightness. The colour is a dark brown, without those reddish undertones that some brown eyeliners have, which make me look as if I've been crying! As someone with fair skin but dark auburn hair and green/blue eyes, this shade was very flattering and not at all harsh. The product was fairly long lasting, although if I had been going out for the evening I think I would have removed and reapplied, as it was beginning to look patchy. I removed all traces of it easily with an eye makeup remover and a cotton wool pad - it didn't creep all over my face, it came away cleanly.

I was pleasantly surprised with this eyeliner. Having no luck with liquid eyeliner in the past I was not expecting much from this product, however it is now going to be a consistent repeat purchase for my make up essentials. The eyeliner has a fine point which allows for control and accuracy during use in order to create a thin subtle line close to the lash line or thicker more defined cat eye. Compared to other drug store eyeliners I have used the colour on this product is amazing, it is a very deep black colour, it does not look grey, brown or washed out when applied. The eyeliner stays quite wet when applied which allows you to correct any mistakes, and take your time,it does not dry too quickly and does not budge throughout the day. I have used this eyeliner quite a bit and it has not run out yet which is an added bonus.I would say this eyeliner is really good for beginners, being inexpensive and easy to use. With this eyeliner I am able to create a sharp crisp wings to my eyeliner which I have not been able to do before.

I have been through a fair few eyeliners and this has become my favourite. It looks like a pen and goes on really easily. Some previous eyeliners have actually scratched when they've gone on but this feels like a gentle felt tip. I generally have a real problem with smudging but this one stays put and doesn't end up halfway down my face like some can! By the end of the day it's definitely a bit fainter, but I find it easy enough to carry around and I can always top it up if I'm going out straight after work. The shape of the pen nib means that it's pretty easy to get a feline flick, I tend to use it like you would with a paint brush, press down harder for a thicker line and use less pressure to get the flick.I use this item everyday and it lasts me at least two months so I think it's really good value for money. I've tried many more expensive liners but always go back to this one. I'm still looking for the perfect one which stays in place 100% all day but this is the closest I've got so far on my one-woman eyeliner-mission!!

Placed on the dressing table or in a make up bag, the Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner looks as if it has been accidentally misplaced from the felt tipped pen tub in a playroom, or left lying around, following a children's colouring session. The brown plastic 'pen casing' of the eyeliner does little to dispel that idea, at first glance. The eyeliner has the appearance of a felt tip pen, but thankfully it is just the outward appearance that looks cheap. Removing the cap, one finds a extra fine tipped liquid eyeliner that goes on beautifully and is really easy to control. The eyeliner was also fairly easy to remove at the end of the day, wiping away with micellar water and a cotton wool pad.I liked the dark brown colour; I have fairly pale skin with very deep set eyes so my carefully crafted effects were quite well hidden, but they were there. It is a deep brown; in dim light it almost does look black.Summary/; Very easy to use and gives good results, wipes away quickly at the end of the day.

I wear a lot of brown eye-shadow and have very light colouring, so brown eye-liner is ideal for me and I often prefer to wear that, rather than black, during the day. This is an excellent eye-liner and had only one small drawback that I found. In style it is a little like a felt tip – perfect if you are applying make-up in a hurry, or have a less steady hand, as it is much easier to get a straight line with this than with a pencil. It applies easily, looks great and stays on well. The only tiny issue is that, when I applied this at first, I opened my eye too soon – meaning that that the gel then marked my upper lid slightly. As I had already applied my eye-shadow, that was a bit of a pain. However, once I had made that mistake, I knew to just keep my eyelid closed a few seconds until it dried and it was fine. With this, you can achieve a really fine line, which looks great. I was very impressed with how long this stayed on too. So, overall, very happy and thought this was a good product.

I love, love, love this liner. It's really like a fancy felt tip pen!! But I do not use it as eye liner! I use it as eyebrow liner. I use feather stokes to fill in the sparse bits. This does it so well. Its point is very fine. The colour is good and it lasts forever! What ever reviewer said this dries up after a month? Whaaaat? They can't have left the top on!! I've had mine months and months, no sign of drying out what so ever. To point out; had it two years and more, still use it regularly and it’s till not dried out. The point is still good. I know you shouldn’t keep these too long, but it works fine and I have no problem with how long I keep it!So if you have sparse brows, don't go straight to the expensive stuff, try this. It's the best I have found. And use clear mascara to 'set' your eyebrows first, then this to fill in the missing bits. Go gently and lightly or it can look to heavy.Highly recommended

I have used some very poor liquid eyeliners over the years, so this one is really amazing by comparison! It is so easy to apply, and you can get a smooth, thin, precise line without any breaks and with a good depth of rich, brown colour. It's simple to achieve flicks and other effects too. You don't have to press hard or put any effort in to get the liquid to come out - it's just like drawing with a very thin felt tip. This is exactly how liquid eyeliner should work, but rarely does! The eyeliner also dries really quickly and has fantastic staying power - you can rub this with your fingers as much as you want, but it's not coming off! However it can be easily removed by a face wipe or eye make-up remover at the end of the day.I can't fault this and am glad I've finally found a liquid eyeliner that is simple to use and gives great results.

Probably the best liquid eyeliner I have used in a long time! It is such a good eyeliner, even for those with shaky hands or those who just generally struggle putting eyeliner on (both are like me), since I find with this eyeliner you have good control on applying this eyeliner on where you want to apply it. In addition, it seems to be waterproof (I don't really know), as I went out the other day and it was pouring down and it stayed on fabulously. Yet so, if you do make one mistake with this eyeliner it does smudge all your other make up and it is quite hard to clear up (then again, every eyeliner is the same, even the top branch like Mac). But,I would recommend this to anyone who struggles applying eyeliner or who shakes when applying it or those who are just beginning to start applying eyeliner with liquid.

This is my preferred way of applying an eyeliner. This particular pen is a finely shaped with a sharp point allowing you to create a line which is both precise and clearly defined. It is easy to use provided you like this kind of pen dispenser and delivers a consistent flow of liquid as you apply it. The colour is a pleasing dark brown which could almost be mistaken for a light black at a distance and is particularly effective with paler complexions where issues of contrast will be less of an issue. The down side with this eyeliner in my experience is that it doesn't last terribly long- within 3 or 4 hours the lines were smudged or completely lost in places.Still a good value product especially for the lighter skinned woman who doesn't mind some re-applying during a long day.

In short this eyeliner is precise, quick, easy to use, easy to remove, easy for beginners and long lasting. This is one of my favourite eyeliners along with the Rimmel's exaggerate liquid eyeliner and Benefit's They're Real. I would use this eyeliner when I am in a rush because it only takes about ten seconds to put on. It isn't too dry like the Benefit eyeliner or too wet like Rimmel's. However I would pick the Rimmel eyeliner if I have enough time and the Benefit one on a night out because they don't smudge as easily. This eyeliner is perfect for people who aren't used to doing the "cat eye" look as the tip is so fine it's hard to mess up. I attached a photo to show a comparison of the tips and also,in the same order, what it looks like on the skin.

I am a beginner when it comes to winged eye liner and I'm also extremely short sighted, so getting it right is a bit difficult. I bought the Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner pen after I had tried my first one from Rimmel for a couple of days, which was a bit of a disappointment. But this one here is really easy to use for beginners and you won't have any issues for example if too much eye shadow covers it, because it still is relatively visible and reapplying on the layer of eye shadow is really easy. It won't mess with the pen, like it does with other pens. It's good for people who want a dramatic effect and precise lines. 10/10 would recommend and will buy again. It makes doing eye make up a lot of fun.
