=== OVERALL ===Maybelline Master Kohl Eyeliner - Blue - RRP £5.99A lovely lapis blue eyeliner in a solid pointy stick that's applied sideways, goes on smoothly and lasts well - though can smudge a bit.=== IN USE ===The colour stick goes on smoothly and gives a clean line. Mistakes can be corrected easily by rubbing away without the need for any eye make-up remover; however, as this is a soft crayon line, it does not stay on so well as liquid eyeliner and can smudge a bit as the day wears on. The colour stick is applied sideways, which takes a bit of getting used to; pull the skin on the eyelid taught and draw the stick in the other direction. Can also be used in the inner eyelid (but that will gradually wear down the pointy tip).=== COLOUR ===Described as lapis blue, I'd say this is deep, bright, vivid blue colour that's more royal blue than navy blue.=== PRODUCT ===The product has a clear plastic cap to protect the colour stick, a blue plastic holder and a stick of solid colour about 2.7cm long (2g weight). It's just over 12cm long and 1.3cm wide. It's small, sturdy and good for carrying round in the handbag.=== NIGGLES ===- The clear plastic cap doesn't fit onto the other end of the crayon so, once you take it off, it'll be rolling around on your counter top.- The colour stick is only about 2.7cm long and, as there's no device to wind up more, once it's gone, it's gone.- If you use the point, you'll just wear down the stick and blunt it, making it harder to use. I haven't tried sharpening the tip but presume this would be possible though you might end up mangling the crayon and getting through it quite quickly!- The colour can smudge a bit as the day wears on.

If you are new to using eyeliner, this is a good one to begin with. The applicator is a perfect width for helping to control your hand when drawing a line along your eyelids. The blue cream stick looks like a large, tapered wax crayon - and you apply the colour using a sideward slant against the lid. If you have crêpey skin on your eyelids, or a shaky hand, this is an ideal eyeliner for making a series of small dots along the lid, and filling in the gaps to create the line. This liner is also very forgiving; if you accidentally make a wavy line, or an unwanted mark, just smudge it - using your finger - back towards your lid.I love the lapis blue colour of this kohl liner - it’s a pretty blue/violet shade that reminds me of the colour of Liz Taylor’s eyes.If you apply the liner firmly, the colour is quite striking, or - if you prefer a more subtle look - smudging it gently with your finger produces a lovely hazy blue. The tip may appear to be quite thick if – like me – you are used to using a brush to apply eyeliner. However, it performed with the same precision, and I was able to mark on the lash lines - and I had no problem lining the inner corners of my upper lids.I wore this for ten hours using a base coat underneath. It started to fade after six hours or so, but you could still tell that I was wearing eyeliner at bedtime.I can’t fault this eyeliner. I love the no-fuss application, the colour and it is really good value compared to the high-end brands.

Colour under review: Lapis blueI usually use pencil eyeliners, so this was a first for me, as the product is actually a cone of kohl on a plastic holder. The colour is described as "lapis blue" but it is more like a bright navy. You are supposed to apply this using the side of the cone, which works surprisingly well, although you can't really vary the width of the line you draw. Fortunately for me, my attempts were on a par with my usual application, but if you do cat's eyes effects or similar, it's going to take practice. The first couple of passes were disappointing - there seemed to be more of a waxy layer than pigment deposited, but this improved after a couple of swipes and built to a pleasingly intensity.Navy definitely looks less harsh on my pale skin than black, and it really brought out the blue shades in my green/grey/blue eyes. The colour lasted fairly well during the working day, but had I been going on anywhere afterwards, I would have needed to reapply as it was looking a little faded. I did use a primer underneath. Given the waxy texture of the product, I think it would have slide away otherwise. The remains wiped off easily with a cotton wool pad and didn't need any special cleanser. It's a nice product and I'm glad I tried it although I think for me the attraction is the colour, not the method of delivery.

This is a lovely dark blue eyeliner. It is actually a cone shape of khol, rather like a crayon, which is creamy and waxy to the touch. The idea is to hold this to the side and swipe your eye. At first, I found this dragged a little, but I did get the hand of it and it is important not to use the point of the liner, but use the side. That way, you find you get a nice, straight line. The colour is fairly dark and it is surprisingly effective at highlighting my blue/grey eyes. I have to admit that I have not tried a blue eyeliner before, but was really impressed with the colour. I tried this on my niece, who has dark brown eyes and it looked equally flattering. This can be difficult to apply until you get the hang of it; but once you have then you can get a striking effect with a line, or smudge it with your finger to get a smoky effect. A nice liner and something different.

Maybelline Master Kohl Eye liner Blue is a lovely eyeliner to use which produces a beautiful line when used properly. The line adds definition to any eye cosmetics. Personally I love using this eyeliner as it applies quickly and easily without any hesitation.I love using this eyeliner as previously I always would have struggled applying eyeliner on my inner eye just inside of my bottom eyelashes. With the Maybelline Master Kohl Eye liner it is so easy to apply as it simply glides on. I love the fact that I do not have to sharpen this eyeliner as it only takes a simple twist of one end and the 'kohl liner'automatically renews itself as it is stored within the main body of the cosmetic holder.I am happy to recommend Maybelline Master Kohl Eyeliner Blue to anyone who likes to use an eyeliner which applies first class results

Having only recently become a fan of this brand i was hopeful of yet another winning product, i was left a little disappointed however. The positives are that the colour was fab once it was on, a great deep blue in colour and was there to stay for the day with little or no fading. However it wasn't as easy to apply as some eye-liners i have used and was not as smooth or easy to apply, it felt like it dragged some what and needed multiple sweeps to get it going. great if you're not someone who likes fine lines as this is much harder to be more precise with than a liquid or traditional pencil type. great colour and staying ability but not so easy to use.

My wife shares with you: "Quite easy to apply and even in my cold room slides on without dragging, it feels a bit like a wax crayon. A heavy line is achieved in a couple of strokes, and looks like a nice wearable dullish matt navy. A single stroke gives a lighter shade which to my mind is nearer air force blue, again a very wearable shade. It smudges nicely but stays put through the day, but seems to wash off readily before bed. The manufacturer claims you don't need to sharpen it, and I guess this is because you are using the length of the 'pencil' rather than the point. I will be interested to see how the shape works out without sharpening."

I love how dark this kohl crayon is and how easy it is to line my lower lash waterline. Stays on the whole day and gives a lovely smoky eye look. The only problem is that's its a but more smudgy than the Arabic rani kohl I use (also available on amazon) - So you can wake up with panda eye. Other than that it's great and people may find the name brand reassuring given that there was some concerns about lead in the Arabic kohls. Recommend for ease of application, but apply sideways as recommended and soften a little on your hand with first use

This is gorgeous. A stunning shades of blue, and a creamy, soft texture for easy application. It really smooths on very easily, and feels most like a soft wax crayon. I find the colour to be more 'eye opening' than black - it's lighter, softer and more subtle.Make sure you hold the liner at an angle for easier application - the side works better that way, rather than just using the pointy bit.Great value, as lasting time was a good 6 hours before reapplication was needed. Easily removed with eye make up remover too.

This eyeliner is a really striking blue colour that produces a nice fine line which you can build up if you want.It is slightly odd in that it doesn not have a sharpener - instead, you are supposed to use the product sideways so that it preserves the shape of the tip. That is a bit awkward to get used to - I ended up slipping back into using it like you would normally, as a pen. It remains to be seen how long I will have a useable tip if I don't start using it properly!

I ordered two at the same time, they came in different packaging which is weird, I’ve used the product before so i know it works fine, still dodgy that I got two different versions though. The product doesn’t really leave during the day, I usually put it on my water line but it doesn’t last very long.but it’s a good product, you will not get a sharp line out of this, it is exactly like using a crayon so it’s more for filling or blending.

This shade of blue is perfect for people with brown or hazel eyes. It goes on easily, it's like a sharp crayon. If you make a mistake it wipes off really easily. You can also smudge it to create a smoky effect. You use it sideways and it states that it doesn't need sharpening but I'm wondering what will happen once I've used the sharp pointed bit, how will I be able to apply it? Will edit this review once I get to that point.

Fantastic product one of the best eyeliners I’ve ever used it’s a very very dark green but that’s exactly what I wanted so I’m very happy. I get a lot of comments about my eyeliner from other ladies and they’re quite shocked that it’s dark green not black and I know a lot of them have bought as well on my recommend

So far it’s brilliant - very hot yesterday and no smudging or panda eyes even though I applied the kayak to water line upper and lower lid and the kajal stayed on all day. Not so pleased with Amazon’s packing though- surely not necessary to pack such a small item is such a great big A4 size cardboard envelope !

9.12.2015

This is a good quality kajal that goes on smoothly with a deep rich colour, this is apparently thanks to the oils in the formula. The blue is a lovely deep shade, but you have to remember that the pencil is designed to be used sideways and therefore to need to be sharpened. Use it end on and you will blunt it.
