The Maxxis Rekon 29 x 2.25 has become my favorite front tire for my 2019 Santa Cruz Blur. It is a true 2.25 inch wide tire with high volume and excellent grip. It corners well and inspires confidence on descents. The tire sets up easily tubeless with Stan's sealant on a DT Swiss rim. As a front tire it does not wear down too quickly, so I get about 400 miles of trail riding out of each tire.

Very good cover, gives a good width and ball once mounted, I particularly use it as a front for marathons and xc because I'm good side grip and you can lower the pressure enough to have a good ball without touching tire

Tested in two exits, in the photos it seems to have a little more taco, but in reality they are not much more than a burn race, despite all good tact in descents on wet trails and roots
