Compared to more supple tires, the puncture protection performance is amazing. At 18 stone, I regularly get issues when riding hard off road but not with this. I also cannot question the grip on loose surface. It isn't as fast as some tires I've owned but far more reliable. You can also feel some tyre squirm from the edge blocks on tarmac but it has not lost grip once yet.
