Shoes are relatively small (compared to summer shoes by Mavic incl. Winter socks) but are good to wear, if you have the right size ... ;-) The shoes are as originally described only water-repellent but not waterproof, since with time some moisture through the shaft or via the tongue / closing mechanism penetrates into the shoe interior - but is limited. Only with continuous rain for more than an hour is the shoe just overwhelmed. Slip resistance in wet is also ok. The next time I get a real winter shoe with a longer waterproof shaft and a cover for the tongue or lacing. One point deduction for moisture penetrating through the shaft.

Great supporting bike shoe, I use them both on and off road with time atac pedals. This is the second pair of these shoes that I have purchased. The only potential negative I can think of is that many Mavic shoes (including this one) can be a little narrow in fit, but if you get it right they are an absolutely fantastic bike shoe.

Great fit and they felt quite good on there first ride. The shoe on the bike feels great. Easy to set cleats they have some strips to help out to get them aligned. Off the bike the heal grip seems a bit loose, especially climbing. Overall felt good on the top part of the foot and the materials seem quite good. Worth the buy!

Very comfortable! They are my first sneakers with automatic and the first sensations are very good! They are stiff enough to use on the road, in fact to start with automatic I was recommended to start with mtb shoes and SPD coves and I am very happy with the decision!

positive - Super comfortable shoe - Good customization options - order one size larger Needs improvement - In my eyes, the traction of the Contagrips sole is in great need of improvement. Zero traction on wet rocks and wet asphalt (downhill and uphill)

Excellent product, I bought this shoe to replace a Mavic Rush that I use since 2013, very comfortable and excellent workmanship in every detail. The only drawback is that I was taxed by the Brazilian Customs charging 60% of the value of the product.

Hi! I need to buy pedals and shoes for my bike, so I wonder if I buy Mavic Crossmax Elite shoes and Crankbrothers Egg Beater 2 pedals do I need to buy anything else or these 2 products are compatible with each other?? Thank's in advance!

The shoes are as good as they look. They keep you dry from water splashes and mud. They are not too hot, and work very well in temperatures down to freezing. They are not for Nordic winter.

I have been able to try the spinning boots and they are really comfortable, they adapt well to the foot and they are tied and adjusted in a very simple way.

Bikeshoe is comfortable, well padded, sole not as stiff as in race shoes. Take it on long trips, not so good at very warm temperatures.

The shoe is beautifully finished and can be adjusted easily. Warning: who turns out small. It is best to order one size larger.

Good comedy. Sitting really well on the foot. Keeps your foot dry. However, not 100% waterproof in length.

Good shoes for traning, they are comfortable and soft but when you have a race day you need carbo ones.
