Perfectly fine tent with all the room as advertised. Absolutely awful colour though, unless using in a situation were folk need to spot the tent from 10 miles away with the naked eye, clueless as to why they didn't stick with natural colours.Pre bent poles and not being able to seperate at centre pivot hub make packing a bit fiddly and packed down size a bit bulky. That plastic centre pivot hub also feels like it will break at any moment, should be alloy & should be able to seperate poles. Can be set up without inner but no holders/pockets in fly to insert the cross pole into, a huge oversight which will need an alteration to ensure the cross pole doesn't tear the fly. Also as noted elsewhere the footprint is too big for inner so is loose and projects out from below, this will catch water and allow it underneath the inner floor, not good and almost as if Marmot have thrown in a footprint from another model as a selling point, will need carefully reducing in size to make good. All other parts seemed fine, although a little short on internal pockets. Fly secures to poles well with additional Velcro straps for extra security in wind, although like most tents of this style the fly is too far from the ground at the bottom, should be approx 3 inch to help keep strong wind out, but more importantly windblown rain (or even snow). Having approx 6 to 7 inches only makes this a 2 season tent, in autumn/fall you'll just have to hope the winds and rain aren't too bad, otherwise you could find wet spots were rain has been blown under the fly, I have actually seen a few reviews showing water ingress so now wonder if this was the cause. The weight advertised is also marked on the bag at 2325g, however I found that it actually weighed 2950g. I used a digital luggage scale checked with a 1kg weight, it can be out by approx 5g with heavier weights, but absolutely not by 625g, this was a huge let down as weight was a vital factor in buying this (was even willing to overlook the colour), but over by more than 600g meant I had no choice but to return it.If the weight isn't a problem, you can overlook the colour, and are happy to alter the footprint, and add crossbar protection on the fly should you plan on using without inner, then this is a very good tent with tons of space, just be gentle with that plastic centre pole hub.

This is the second Marmot Limelight 2p tent I have owned over the years, and Marmot have made some clever and innovative design changes for this season. Most notable is Marmots body zone construction, creating a near vertical wall using a pre-bent tent pole that creates a huge amount of internal living space when compared to other 2 person tents. Two very large doors front and back make for very easy access for occupants, floor insulation, and mattresses etc. Large mesh coverage makes for a comfortable condensation free living and sleeping environment. We experienced heavy rain and occasional 15mph+ winds throughout most of the night during our test. The tent remained completely dry and rock solid throughout. There were also an excessive amount of ants present on the grass when initially pitching the tent, and on morning inspection non of them were able to enter the sleeping/living area.Along with the very easy pitching procedure, in my opinion, the Marmot Limelight 2p is one of the best 2 person tents available on the market. A favourite of mine, it also looks striking when pitched in the two-tone orange. Highly recommended.

Really happy with this tent, tested in really high winds and rain camping in the North of England and it held up well. Internal space is really good with the vertical sides making the 2 man seem the same size as my old 3 man. Heaps of space for me and my girlfriend and our 60/50 litre packs. We also cooked within the canopy area when it was raining (puts packs outside), tight but definitely doable. Only thing that makes it not 5* is the size when packed away, still a decent chunk of kit if you are hiking camping, but to get around that you can attach to the bottom of your hiking bag. Also, i read it elsewhere before I bought the tent, but the tent pegs are terrible, they bent on the first night of use.I would definitely recommend this tent!

Beautiful tent, well made, easy to setup with even one person. Took it on it's first backpacking adventure last weekend and it performed perfectly in good weather and bad. Love the fact that you don't have to wrestle the tent/rain fly/ foot print/ poles back into a teeny tiny little carrying bag, Marmot actually considered the ease of the camper when designing the pack bag... no struggle at all to repack this tent. Love the design of the high walls too... makes the overall square footage feel so much bigger. Definitely comfortably fits two average sized adults and backpacking gear. A third person with gear would be tight, but I like a little elbow room ;-)

I’ve used it twice camping now, been downpour rained on and am super fricken absolutely ecstatically happy with it. Using a queen sized air mattress for now and it fits just right. Love the double doors, the vestibules and most of all, the upright side walls. Cannot be any happier!Edited to add, the carry bag itself already has small holes worn into the fabric with use since purchased beginning of July. Only complaint. The rest is still amazing. Will need to find a more durable carry bag.

Easy to set up and has really nice features. The ONLY reason I’m not giving the tent 5 stars is because it’s not as roomy as advertised. I purchased a 3 person tent. In order to fit 3 people, all three would be touching each other and also squeezed against the sides. Our sleeping pads are both Therm-a-Rest neo air Xtherm. If we put 2 of those in the tent, there’s less than 8 inches between them. (No room for a third). Without sleeping pads I suppose you could squeeze 3 people in it.

Its light and easy enough for my 10 and 12 year old kids to setup. I, living in my area, set it up for test and it got rained hailed and snowed on within the day. The outtershell did awsome. The vestibules did collect a good amount of snow as well as the lip for the cross poles for door support but I think a taunt support line, there are plenty of well placed ones, would help the snow slide off... or dont use it in snow 8>). Overall superb tent great for warn clear star gazing.

Just back from a 2 week motorcycle tour of Europe with this tent. Brilliant. It had plenty of rain on it and in Italy a thunder and lightning storm directly overhead one night. Savage winds beat at it but it never leaked and never got near to falling down. It is very airy but oddly very warm. It got to 1 degree on one morning on Mont Blanc so it has been tested. Ventilation works well for warmer days. Easy to put up and take down and the design when up is well thought out.

We bought this tent for motorcycle camping. Weight and pack size is always a consideration for this activity. When it arrives we set it up immediately to see if the dimensions open would be good and they were. Lots of vertical room so you don’t feel cramped inside. It packed back up easily and fit back into the pack easily. We’ve been using it on an extended US trip and we have not found one negative thing about it.

This tent was great. Even though this is a four-person tent, three of us fit comfortably inside with a little room to spare. Four might have been cramped. We love to do backwoods camping, and this tent was perfect. It kept us dry through the day and night, despite the weather. The fly was perfect - we had plenty of space to stash our shoes and other items. All in all a great tent.

I really like the look of this tent and it is full of thoughtful features. It is a little difficult to repack after use but, since I am a car camper, that is not a problem for me. I primarily camp alone so the three-person size is perfect for me, my cot, and personal items. Please note that you will have to buy six stakes if you want to fully guy out your rain fly.

I like absolutely everything about this tent! Super roomy, my wife and I felt like we had a queen size bed with room for a nightstand the tent is so big! It is very durable and lightweight for the size. It is easy to set up as well! I will never buy a tent from another company, ever. Buy this.

getting older bites. this caught my eye in regards to the width height. it really makes a huge difference on regular dome tents. i love it so much i don’t have to crouch as i get to the ends when inside the tent. i always feel 2p tent is for 1, max with a pet or child.

Wife and I own 4 tents all for different purposes. But, I have to tell you this one by Marmot is hands down our new favorite. The space afforded by the clever design is without equal. Zippers are flawless and setup and take down are a breeze. Would easily buy again!

This tent was easy to set up and lightweight. The pricepoint is also appealing. Interior space is good, but not much room for anything else besides your sleeping basics. I love the zippered pocket on each opposite and and the lantern/lamp holder is nice.
