Now I will admit that I have a "mask face" and have rarely found a mask that didn't fit me well enough to make a seal. This mask, however, is without a doubt the best fitting mask I have ever used. I've been spearfishing, freediving and scuba diving for more than 15 years and have tried Alot of masks. To test it out I laid on the bottom of a pool with the strap OFF my head and blew a steady stream of air out of my nose, the air evacuated from the mask around the top of the skirt and near the nose but the mask didn't leave my face. I do alot of freediving and spearfishing and I absolutely love this mask. It's very low volume so equalizing it uses less of your very valuable air.I do have to note that it does restrict your peripheral vision a bit, you will struggle to find a low volume mask that doesnt. It's the nature of the beast. If you want less volume you're going to have to live with a smaller field of view. While being low volume the glass isn't so close as to touch my eyelashes which drives me crazy with a couple of my other masks. It's also extremely comfortable. It has a smooth skirt without the 2nd inside lip that every other mask on the market has. I was a little nervous about the smooth skirt but it must be the key to this masks fitment, it is AWESOME. I don't get mask squeeze and the red ring of stupidity. I have recommended it to numerous other divers and they've had great success as well. I did wish that they offered a mirrored version but while spearfishing I prefer clear glass, if sharks come around its better for them to be able to see your eyes. If they know you see them they are less likely to come much closer. Make them feel challenged, stare them down like a confident predator and they usually shy away. If you're a freediver, give this mask a try, you won't be disappointed. I've attached a photo for reference, don't be jealous, just get out and fish!

Forms to the face comfortably, doesn't leak as long as my mustache is trimmed to a #2. My freediving group recommended these to me and after using them a few times I can see why. They fogged a bit until I realized you have to burn the factory coating off the lenses, but not anymore. They were unexpectedly warm in very cold water which is a bonus. The case they came in was broken during shipment so I got a more durable case for 5 bucks to protect them in storage. Although you look like a superhero wearing this mask the sea lions aren't scared. It's not really camo but I like the color.

I was looking for something lighter/more packable to travel with and frankly this is about the same as the freediving mask I already had, but it looks cool and seems sturdy so I'll hang on to it.I've only used it for snorkeling so it hasn't been deeper than about 20 feet. It doesn't have a conventional skirt but still seals well on my relatively slim face and was comfortable for a couple of hours. It was fogging at first but after rubbing the lenses with toothpaste that stopped. Field of view is similar to Mares Star.

Really struggled trying to find a mask that makes a good seal on my face. Started looking around and saw this and had great reviews. Then one day while I was using my crappy snorkel set I saw a guy who had the viper mask. Asked him a few questions and he said only good things about it. So I made the purchase and it's TRUE what the reviews and what mares says about this mask. It seals so well that it stays on my face without even using the straps. Very happy with this mask. Thank you mares!

Really pleased with this mask - it's very comfortable and feels like it has a good built quality. Absolutely no problems with leakage and fewer fogging problems than with previous masks (with spit). The only problem I've had (with scuba diving) is when clearing the mask underwater - I've found it more difficult to get water out of the nose section than with previous masks. But this is a minor complaint, all in all I'm very happy with it.

I have dove with this mask to 25m/80ft and it works great, only needed to equalize the mask twice to that depth, and the silicone is soft on my face. It is easy to break the seal near my cheeks and let some water in when I remove my snorkel, but that may just be the shape of my face.

I don’t like giving 5 stars but it this mask deserves it. Very comfortable and you don’t even feel it in your face. Customer service was also great always making sure that everything was the easy it was intended. Thanks

Best freediving mask i ever bought! (And i bougt lots of masks) I live in the carribean and use the mask also sometimes for scubadiving. You can get nothing that is so comfortable.

Great, quality, fit. I use it for long distance swimming in temperature down to 0 degr. I can't have an opinion on it as a diving mask, since i don't use it for that.
