This is a good and well built helmet. The construction is dependable and the fit is adjustable lending to a near perfect fit. The helmet does sit high on top of the head (I would surmise because of the potential of falling objects).I wore this on a Mountain Adventure High Ropes Course at Peekn Peaks Resort in Clymer, NY. There were 9 High Ropes courses in total to engage. On the last course (Double Diamond), I had to hook up and free fall off a platform 50 ft up. I jumped out a bit too far which caused my momentum to carry me back into the tree. I hit my head pretty hard on the tree and would surely have split my head open but luckily I had on my Mammut Skywalker 2!I am grateful for its

OK, I've only used the helmet once so far, but I really like it. I use it for caving and am coming from using Petzl Ecrin Roc helmets for years. This Mammut fits closer to the head, is lighter in weight, and has a very nice cushy interior. The straps are comfortable (much more than I've found the elios to be) and easy to adjust. The headlamp anchors are well placed and seem sturdy.The only thing that I don't like about the helmet is in no way applicable to most users. I perform cave research and am required to decontaminate my equipment between each cave and the soft, open cell material on the strap and harness are more difficult to decontaminate. Regardless,

What an amazing piece of kit would highly recommend to anyone it got hit with a 1.2 meter scaffolding quick stage transom from 12ft and all though I suffered extreme neck and shoulder pain with a small cut to my head all I can if it wasn't for this I might not be writing this review and although their looks like only slight damage to the helmet I will probably have to purchase another what a shame but you can't put a price on safety it comes first and a hope anyone who reads this review takes this review on board and remembers that what they've read.

There are times when a bicycle helmet or a football helmet just won't do. For instance, mountain climbing requires full head protection but lots of visibility. It needs to accommodate a head lamp, as well. Also great for emergency situations where there might be falling tree limbs or rockfall. Many people have purchased these helmets to protect members of their family from flying or falling objects during a tornado or hurricane. The orange color provides excellent recognition in low visibility situations.

I use this helmet for mountaineering more than climbing; though I have used it for both. The helmet fits well and feels secure when adjustments are made but is lightweight enough to wear for extended periods. My only complaint is the soft pad on the chinstrap next to the buckle can be a little annoying, but at least its better than the buckle rubbing against your skin. For the price, this is a solid helmet that wont disappoint with moderate protection needs.

Fantastic piece of kit. Very comfortable and easily adjusted to the correct size. Can be adjusted large enough to wear a beanie underneath if it's cold enough to need it. Certainly for rigging, climbing and rope access work I'd have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone. Good padding inside the helmet to make it comfortable for prolonged use.If you're going to be spending lengthy periods wearing a helmet then this is a solid choice.............

Received this in good order, and it's served me well so far.It sits comfortably on my head, and not too high up, which was a minor worry I had from reading other reviews.I shouldn't have worried, it fits almost perfectly :)Seems to be fairly hard wearing, though I haven't given it too much of a battering yet. I suppose Time will tell on that part.So far, I love it, it fits nice, and looks better.

I've recently gotten into caving, for the first bit I used other guy's helmets while I waited to see if I wanted to buy all the gear. I chose this helmet over the Black Diamond and Petzel ones because it was more affordable. It's so much more comfortable than the others and it's protected my head from a few falling rocks. Would recommend

I took a 20 foot whipper, hit a slab, turned upside down, and slammed my head on the slab... a week after buying this beauty. Sore neck, but no head injury! The rear of this helmet flexed and absorbed the force of the blow to the back of my head. I am sold on this helmet. I just hope I don't ever have to find out how good it is again!

I am an activity instructor and I use this helmet every day for a variety of high ropes sessions.It is fantastically comfortable and durable. And looks pretty cool as well. The helmets that we use at my Center are wild country 360 which can get rather uncomfortable but this is vastly superior in comfort an style.

i did a lot of research on helmets and i think this one is the best. it only weighs a fe grams more than the petzl but it is sooooooo much more comfortable.. i couldn't tell the difference. plus it looks much more badass. seems to be sturdy. haven't taken it out much but we will see later this spring and summer

Very high quality and certified to EU standard for mountain climbing and ropes challenge courses. I was allowed to use this helmet instead of borrowing a ropes challenge course provided helmet since it had the proper certification . Looks great and is comfortable for extended use.

Just what I wanted. I bought a road bike and needed a helmet, but hadn't used either a bike or a helmet in about forty years. Easy to put on, easy to adjust and secure, light and strong. Great for summer weather. I also like the looks of it, not wanting a "speedy" look at my age.

Have had this helmet for nearly a year now and still love it!! I work in Production Entertaiment and use it during load in / load out scenarios as opposed to a traditional hard hat. The Mammut really outperforms in comfort and protection for my money. Well worth the investment!!

Our comanpy recently implemented a helmet requirement to work on our aircraft over a certain height. I didn't like the company ones provided and this one was recommended to me. Two other coworkers and myself purchased these. A Very good and comfortable fit. Would recommend.
