I do lots of sheet metal work building custom car bodies, repair panels etc. I bought this tool to make it quicker and easier to cut complex curves. It has proven to be a great tool. It shears the metal nice and clean and I can cut very tight radius curves easily. Definitely a good purchase.

As always Makita makes great rugged tools that last. I have only owned for a month but it works great for ripping sheet without excessive dimpling, it's also good at making turns. The only thing I dislike is the thumb switch.

first rate. easy to use and makes straight cuts. I used it on aluminum diamond plate and i was very pleased with the results. OK, let's admit that I'm not a tin knocker, but compared to a nibbler, this is a great machine....

I liked the ease of handling and stability of this shear for accurate cutting of light gage sheet metal. I never give full marks, because there is no room for improvement. But I would recommend this Shear.

This shear works great! It makes cutting sheet metal very easy with accurate cuts .The fast mailing was great. I should have had this years ago.CalvinElk Grove CA

I'm using this tool to cut body patches for my project Alfa Romeo. It is easy to control and cuts sheet metal like warm butter. I may never pick up my snips again.
