Needed a router to complete a diy project at home so went for Makita to compliment every other bit of gear I’ve got - my garage is like a Makita factory! As expected, absolute top quality piece of kit. Bought the plunge base separately to compliment it and have to say it’s so easy to use. Powerful motor, and surprisingly quiet. Maybe a little heavier to handle than others but this just backs up the build quality. Used it to cut a lot of grooves for led tracks in some bamboo flooring and it went through it no problem - buy decent router bits of course! Don’t hesitate if you need a router - superb.

Great little router, being cordless makes it more useful for working outside/away from the workshop.To gain the most power i recommend using at least a 5 amp/hour battery.Built to the usual high Makita standard, and remember you can extend the warranty to three years for free.

I brought the Makita 18v router to cut some dados and using a 18.2mm diameter 1/4 shank cutter I was cutting 9mm deep in one pass on the slowest setting and it didn’t struggle at all. It was only in MDF but I look forward to seeing how it works on hardwood.

Great little router that works well even in the lower speed. Built well and feels comfortable to hold. The only issue I had was that some of my 1/4” bits were too big for the base plate opening.Otherwise I’m very pleased with the product.

Came with plunge base/ trimmer base and straight guide for trimmer base.Have used for hinges and intumescent strip grooves in doors also small rebates. Surprisingly powerful and easy to control.Excellent tool.

Haven't used it yet but it looks and feels solid I fitted a battery it didn't rev as high as my plug in router just hope it has good torque.

It's so nice to have a little trim router without any wires getting in the way. Perfect for hinge mortices and putting round overs on boards

already have this router. purchased as a gift for a friend. excellent for door hinges, trenching for intumescent strips and light moulding.

Very good balance with battery on top, used it on hardwood and plywood so far -very happy with results-depth setting a bit fiddly though
