I bought this lock for my new Specialized bike. I really wanted a D-lock as it is supposed to be the safest lock. But I had a few considerations which led me to not buying a D lock:a) Would the D lock fit within your frame?b) Would the mounting of the D lock fit the diameter of your frame?c) Would the location of the D lock interfere with the location of the water bottle holder?I came on Amazon with the intention of only buying a D-lock, and I ended up with this. I was worried as my bike costs £400 but I have no longer looked back since buying this lock.What I like about this lock:1. Very strong and has a thick diameter (despite this, still relatively light)2.

In general i am quite happy with the lock and the price however, the lock was been left mainly outdoors in the rain. After a few days of continuous rain the lock mechanism rust and would not open. There is a red cover for the key hole to proctect from rain which i never used to close, it was always left open to the water coming in.Suppose it was normal and expected to rust. The key would not turn but putting some virgin olive oil solved the problem and it is now fine! (i use the red little cover now on rainy days). This is long enough to lock wheel and frame and a large signpost together! Have had no other problems yet,bike was stolen in the past so i am careful where i leave it during the night,

I guess no lock is indestructible so it's always a balance of your perceived risk combined with the price you pay. For this lock I am not disappointed. Not at all.Ergonomically it is excellent. It's easy to use, it's intimidatingly fat (especially compared to 90% of other locks you'll see being used), it's long enough to fasten your bike to anything, it's brilliantly flexible, it's covered with a soft plastic that won't scrape your bike and it's just about light enough to carry around in a bag without having to wonder why on earth you're lugging this object around with you. I bought this at the same time as a U-bolt based rigid lock and absolutely this flexible lock is my preferred device.

Bought this in May 2009 and has proven to be a solid lock that is a decent length as well as providing a decent amount of flexibility to wrap around chosen targets.Given its thickness and decent locking mechanism, it does not seem an easy lock to break into or cut through. Comes with 5 keys so is more than enough for different holders.Overall, a sturdy lock and good value for money considering the protection that it will hopefully provide.

I have had a few locks in the past and only one push bike stolen (borrowed someone's flimsy lock - BIG mistake) however was encouraged by my cousin to go for a more sturdy lock which could be used for a motorbike.So far so good, it's only been a few weeks but this one seems to be holding up well and feels solid but not to heavy. This lock cleans well and has no problems in the rain.I also like the fact that I have 4 spare keys!

this is an amzing lock but i have one problem with it and that is that it cant be tightly wrapped around my bike so swings and clunks when i am cycling but apart from that i dont have anything else to say. nice touch to send 5 keys with it which is very useful because the hole family each have a key so they can use it when they want. fab lock it is a must buy!!!!!!

I've been using this lock for over a year now and never had a problem with it. It is thick and strong like what you'd usually pay four or five times the price for. Obviously if you have a very expensive bike that might be stolen to order, then you'll probably want to invest more in a better lock, but for normal people, this is perfect.

I ordered this bike lock for my bike and my girlfriends bike and was very surprised yet impressed with the size of the thing. Easily goes round both bikes and good luck to anyone trying to get it off.Only thing to remember is that when carrying the lock around it is pretty heavy.I would definately recommend this product.

The lock is really good and strong. It's also pretty flexible and enables you to lock the bike anywhere. A good shape and colour as well. It's delivered with 5 keys which is a good thing in case you lose the key you're using. I definitely recommend this! it's better than most of the other lockers at the same price.

I use my bike everyday and it is left out in the rain, snow, sun whatever the sky throws at it. I bought this lock about a month ago and it works perfectly.It is strong and locks and unlocks easily and has no problems with rust etc.Very good product for the price, I thought...

For the price, it does it's job.Will keep out eager amateur thieves not medium thieves. Not as secure/strong as Kryptonite KryptoLok Series 2 Standard Lock with EZMount Bracket. Works great in combination with that for locking the front wheel to the frame and post.

its a good standard lock. im using it alone in one bike, and i didn't problem. i think is good to work with a "worst" pedal lock, but this one os really good. the relationship between price and quality is really good, and isn't to weight :)

Excellent product, there has been a spate of thefts from the bike shed at the station but this lock is as heavy duty as it looks and my bike has been left alone. Comes with a multitude of keys too, a nice touch! Highly recommended.

For the price I'd say you are fairly hard pressed to find a better model. It is a bit chunky which makes transporting a bit of an issue (i put it in a backpack). But no complaints and with the extra keys its a bargain.

Sturdy, not too heavy for a hybrid and a good length to get around the frame, wheel and post. No problems with rust or stuck key etc and have been using it for about 6 months in rainy leeds! Would definitely recommend.
