There are a million flashlight choices out there, and I've tried a few, but you still can't beat a good ole Maglite. Much brighter than my traditional Maglite, but doesn't seem to be as rugged or well built. So far-so good, but I doubt it will still be around 20 years from now like my father's Maglite.. You can program how it responds to button presses, and I didn't think I'd like that at first, but they seem to have put some thought into it and I'm ok with it now.

Nice! I haven't purchased a new LED maglite yet but I am glad I did! I had the old 3 cell C maglite and I thought it looked good.This 2 cell D light was obviously thicker but shorter and about the same weight but made my old 3 cell C look sick.This thing is so bright, I sometimes take it off max, down to the medium but that is a nice thing!Love it!

Amazing flashlight. Batteries fit snug without rattle, power switch feels positive and well make. I'm glad the flashlight comeson brightest first. In an emergency I wouldn't want to be playing with the switch to get full bright. Sometimes I will press thepower button 2 or 3 times to reduce the light for extended use.

Really bright and I certainly enjoy the different modes. Read the package first to understand your options; it outlines how the ode change will affect your choices when cycling through the light options (Flashing, dim, etc). Using the new style button takes a little getting used to compared to the older units.

This is a solid flash light with tons of light! I got this for my uncle to replace an old mag light. He loves it. However, I prefer my 300 lumen led lenser to this because the beam is a lot smoother an more defined. Nonetheless, this is a great flash light for around 40 bucks! Do not hesitate to buy one.

Amazing brightness out of a 2-D cell flash light. The multi-function "programmable" button is a nice new feature. It is good for the money. 4-stars because after all this time Mag still doesn't make a butt cap with a lanyard hole: i'd pay extra for the option if it were available.

This flashlight is super bright in the brightest mode, and because it's LED the battery lasts for a very long time. Solid build. I've used it to provide lighting for home projects such as under the sink installations, and attic work.

I've had the old classic 2D Maglites for years and these LED ones are an entirely different deal. Tac light bright in a near indestructible case - with some heft to it. I'm going to buy another.

I already had a ML300LX. I bought this model for the programmable functions like the ML300LX. This one works in the same way. I would buy from this company again.

Immensely powerful compared to it's predecessors, and a good practical quality design as you would expect from Maglite.

Perfect size if you aren’t looking for a huge heavy maglite
