Having become firmly convinced of the vastly superior merit of Lyra over all other pencils some years ago, I would never buy a child any other pencil. I am nanny to 3 kids aged 3, 5 and 7. I gave them a little set of Ferbys about 18 months ago and they are still going strong, only the red is noticeably smaller than the others as it's their favourite colour. I have done a road test of the rest of the kids' big box of cheap pencils with them (colouring a small scribble with each pencil to compare which was the best), and after comparing them with the Ferbys they all told me to chuck away the others. Ever since discovering Lyra colouring pencils I have not bought any other brand. Yes they are expensive, but they are with every penny! Their triangular shape makes they very comfortable to hold and use and the colour they produce is almost as vibrant as felt tip pen. They blend together well, and should any make its way on to your surfaces or walls it wipes off quite easily. When my daughters are doing colouring its not long before I join in as these pencil crayons are just a joy to use.

I bought this after getting fed up with the cheap ones always breaking and chipping with my toddler using them. Having said that it is really expensive for what it is. It colours really easily and she doesn’t have any problems holding them. They don’t chip and break after dropping them. But just e aware that the colours don’t match the box exactly. There isn’t a pink nor black, and the orange is more like light brown. And the light yellow is so light you can barely see it.

Lyra coloured pencils are just amazing. They are long-lasting with intense colour. The colour itself has a bit of a way crayon like consistency to it. This means you can easily variate the intensity with which you colour.They are thicker than most pencils and of a triangular shape. Make sure you get an appropriate sharpener.This box has 12 colours. NO black, grey or white. And no skin colour either.

We bought these on recommendation for our child who has Dyspraxia and Hypotonia. The crayons have a wonderful luxury Feel to them and the colours are so bright. They are triangular in shape so promote a good pencil grip. I would recommend them for all who need a great crayon. I suspect they will last a long time as well so the price probably reflects this.

Superb pencils! Absolutely love them! They've got a really nice feel about them (the fact that they're chunky is great), all colours are vibrant and visible on white (some other pencils are dry, and when you draw a yellow sun, you can't see it on whit paper). There is a really nice texture to the line. Highly recommended to all friends and family.

The product quality is very good. I had they before and I decided to buy them on amazon for a gift,unfortunately they didn't secure them enough inside the package and whoever handled it didn't do it with care and the colores were all over the package, three of them broken. I can not give this as a gift as it looks really bad.

Brought for my sons school pencil case, they are a good size for gripping and the colour is vibrant and consistent. My son has even commented on how much he loves using them and its not often an 11 year old boy notices these things. Recommended.

I came across these pencils in a school and had to get some. They make colouring quicker and are very comfortable to use. I have used them loads and not had to sharpen them as yet so they should last a long time. Pricey but worth it.

I sharpened the pencil at the other end as my child likes to use both ends and you can see a lot of colorless space. IF YOU COLLECT ON ALL THE PENCILS THE COLOR WHICH IS MISSING, IT LOOKS LIKE A PENCIL IS EMPTY.

unfortunately I bought another brand at about the same time for quite lot less whos quality was just as lovely.The strong pigmentation of the colours is what we're looking for and these(and the others)had it

these colouring pencils have such true and vibrant colours our grandchildren just love them.We bought this set as the previous pencils also by lyra ferby are so well used they are extremely short!!!!

These are wonderful pencils. The colour saturation is superb. They are easy to hold. My child is 10 and doesn’t find them too chunky. Note that you need a sharpener with a large hole for them.

Can't really go wrong with these. Pricey for pencils but the colour quality is much better then standard. The shape/thickness make it easier for little hands and encourages a good tripod grip.
