In response to the above comment regarding the change of battery, firstly it works out just as expensive as battery powered keyboard if you have to keep replacing every 6 months. You can get a low powered 1.5v batter (single battery powered) wireless keyboard that needs replacing (to function good) once very 2-3 months so if this needs replacing every 6 months then that is a problem as the battery needed is 3 volts and at least twice as expensive as the 1.5v single aa battery. So ultimately if it is true that every 6 months it dies then it is useless as a solar powered keyboard. However, I would imagine if bought with Amazon they would send you a new replacement immediately (perhaps only for good customers)?I don't know but they certainly haven't questioned my issues or argued whether I deserve a replacement etc. maybe because I buy from them a lot I don't know but anyway the point is its not fit for purpose so the customer shouldnt have to be replacing the battery AND in addition voiding their own 3 year Logitech warranty (thus why I recommend replacing with Amazon) and of course by default always buying at least fulfilled by Amazon. This really is a good keyboard though and hopefully the op's unit was a faulty minority.Though it is interesting if we bear in mind that a cheap low powered wireless keyboard can, as a matter of fact (because I have measured this) last for at least 2 months on a 1.5v battery so the reason people claim that the battery is 100% even though in minimal lighting may just be a strong battery which dissipates slowly due to the low power. So being 3 volts it may even be 4-5 months!* , before it even shows its true solar powered capabilities, and perhaps even it is all a sham and the solar powered tech that is within is no more better than that of a pocket calculator.. Ergo making the cost very expensive for a keyboard. Finally I would like to say that it is clear it has some ability because it accurately measures Lux from my experience so fingers crossed. In any case it is certainly a pioneering keyboard and something Akin to the nokia e71.

Although it does operate with Macs, the K750 is only officially compatible with Windows systems, and is setup on my windows 7 machine. Logitech supplies very little in the box: there's the keyboard, a cleaning cloth and a two-part RF receiver.Beyond some simple diagrams on the packaging, the only manual for the keyboard is at Logitech's website. Installing and configuring the K750 can't be much easier. The installation process puts a piece of software called the Solar App on your computer, which is triggered by a special hardware button and displays light levels in the form of a lux meter, and battery level as a percentage. The meter has to stay above a certain threshold in order to avoid draining the battery; and the keyboard has two lights indicating whether the ambient light is good or bad.The design of the K750 is very similar to that of an Apple's wired keyboard, complete with chiclet-style keys that are very quiet to type on and an extremely thin body. The keyboard feels slightly more delicate than it should, particularly in the support stands, which feel as if they might break anytime with a hard push. The surface of the keyboard is also intensely glossy; and thus a dust magnet that requires ocd like cleaning. I wondered why there was a cleaning cloth!Having only used this for a short while only time will tell how long the battery lasts but so far it has managed several days with nothing but normal use/light in my study. What I would say is that this is perhaps a tad pricey and serious gamers should avoid as it doesn't have the anti-ghosting properties of a gamers' keyboard. As an everyday typer though it is a lovely keyboard. However I am a fan of the chiclet type keyboards and so this naturally appealed to me.Logitech are as far as I am concerned the best without spending silly money! Their rma process is straightforward and often they send you something better than what you had if you're unhappy. Very good product from a very good company. Hopefully backlit keys in the next model.....

EDIT: Update almost 5 months on of using this keyboard. I'm still incredibly happy with it, and in fact think it's one of the best keyboards I've ever used. I used to go for Razer gaming keyboards and have used a variety of them for Gaming and General use.The keyboard power supply rarely drops, only will if you're working in a dark area with a poor light source for prolonged periods. I've taken to using this keyboard as my work keyboard too now. I work as a programmer, so as you can imagine I have a lot of typing to do. It is incredibly important for me to have a keyboard that doesn't feel like a chore to type on.Still ridiculously happy with this keyboard and will probably keep using this until they perhaps release an updated shinier version :D Will say though it does pick up finger marks and various other marks, I just give it a wipe with a duster with some polish on every so often and it seems to do the trick./EDITI was looking for a good wireless keyboard and this doesn't dissapoint. If you have ever typed on a mac keyboard, the key layout and feel is very similar to that. Personally I love the spacing and the feel of mac keyboards so this was really quite good. No problems with delay or any weird behaviour when typing. I can touch type so it is important for me to be comfortable typing fast on a keyboard. Granted I've only had it about 4 days, but so far I love it.Pro's:Ultra slimNice key feel and layoutGood responsePower reserve has stayed at 100% with 4 days of heavy useJust with my bedroom light on this keyboard stays at 100%Cons:If i was to be really picky, the finish on it attracts a lot of dust and finger marksThe legs on the stand seem flimsy (holding up though) but they don't look like they would take much to breakI've used Logitech keyboards before and was previously using a Razer keyboard. This is fantastic.

Dear Logitech. I didn't buy this from Amazon, but I'm giving feedback as this is where it will be seen more by customers. My previous K750 with the white bottom died after many years of good use. I tried replacing the rechargeable battery in line with the ifixit instructions, but it didn't fix the issue, so I bought the newer windows 10 version (same Amazon order model) with blue function buttons and the grey bottom as I really liked my 2011 model and wanted the same again. The later version of this keyboard I find is not as nice to type on as the previous generation (with the white bottom/orange function keys). The key presses feel much softer and not as sure as the last generation, but still better than the other keyboards I have at home. Some users may prefer this as it is quieter to use.But also the T-button on my new keyboard would only work with an extremely hard press. It kept skipping the T in normal typing conditions under even key-press pressure. I found your customer service good and you sent me a replacement without question which came today and works fine. Thank you. So today decided to pull the T button off the faulty unit and take a look. I found a piece of ripped sticker stuck under the key. I ripped off the Y key also to see if this was standard. (FYI, I didn't think it would be). Nothing there, so the factory had obviously found a fault with the key and stuck the sticker underneath to reduce the gap between key and sensor. I ripped off the sticker, and put a small dollop of hot glue in its place to better fill the gap. Although the T still isn't as sure when you consciously compare keys, whilst typing with even pressure on all keys the problem is fixed and un-noticable now.In terms of star rating, I give this model a 4 (I like it), but I would give the older (original?) generation version 5.stars (I loved it)

Been using this for a while now and thought I'd share my experiences.I spent ages trying to find a keyboard that I like, as my old Logitech keyboard had definitely seen better days and wasn't wireless, my main considerations were the layout (had to have a numerical keypad) and the ease of typing, as I spend my time at work using a laptop with chiclet style keys. After much searching I settled on this keyboard and haven't looked back since.Battery life is excellent, I've never seen the indicator drop below 95% despite constant heavy use and moderate lighting levels. Build quality is first class, it is not the lightest but feels all the better because of it.Rubber pads on the bottom of the keyboard means it stays well planted at all times. The keys themselves are concave in the middle which takes no getting used to and makes it easy to centre your finger, you'll see the difference if you have to use another keyboard for any length of time. The keys have very little travel and are very quiet which is very welcome, all you get is a quiet patter noise depending on how hard you press the keys.Download the setpoint software if you want to customise the action of the FN keys, I've turned most of the web/email/search ones into program launchers, very useful and takes minimal fuss. If you use the volume FN keys, I would recommend swapping the function of the power FN key (F12). You can also swap the FN and F functions around, if that takes your fancy.Unifying receiver works well, although until I treat myself to the Performance MX mouse I can't test it's use with multiple devices at once.A good keyboard costs good money, and this is definitely a good keyboard, if you like the chiclet style keys I would whole heartedly recommend it.

Second keyboard upgrade from a cheaper Razer Arctosa. My main concern was getting rid of the wires all over my desk and having a bit of freedom to move the keyboard about. Of course I didnt want to have to keep recharing sets of batteries because I am lazy. Here we have the Solar keyboard from logitech! The solar feature seems to work well and has never dropped below about 60% for me (when I gamed for long periods of time and never took my keyboard out from under keyboard tray in my desk). I did have one period where it would charge extremely slowly even with a lamp right above it giving 500+ lumens. I was worried it might be the battery problem some people have had but the issue seemed to resolve itself.Daylight seems to keep this topped up and its going strong.Feels like a laptop keyboard as some people have mentioned. I would prefer stuff like the caps locks buttons to have a little LED in them that flashes to show they are activated. I can understand that in order to preserve energy they dont want the battery wasted by having LED lights on the board but it would make it a bit easier to use.Only downside is that I do seem to get some intereference occasionally when gaming from either my wireless mouse of the wireless card on my pc. There will be a bit of lag when gaming where my keystrokes register 2 or 3 seconds after I have pressed them. This seems to resolve itself by moving the keyboard.4 stars out of five because of the price. I think it is quite expensive for what it is but I guess this is due to the fact you dont need batteries and have the freedom of wireless technology.

When I made the purchase from " My_Worldwide_Market" I did not notice the seller note that the item was shipped from the US, so at the checkout I had the impression I was getting the UK version since I’m using Amazon UK. I was so happy when I opened the box to discover I had US version and that’s what I really wanted and used to. The design is sleek, beautiful, and thin. Don’t be fooled it got some weight which I think it’s perfect to this type of keyboards. The instruction is writing inside the box, it’s more like numbered picture to what you need to do. First, insert the unifying thing to a USB. Second, remove the battery sticker in the keyboard. Third, power on the keyboard. At this point I was gazing the screen for the installation popup window to come up, after waiting sometime of no action I accidently pressed the Win key on the keyboard at that point I realized it was already hooked up and running LOL. That’s how easy the installation went. The solar panels just genies. Any sort of light will make power to the device. And you can monitor the level of power your making as well the battery level by downloading an application from Logitech website (the site is written inside the box, plus under the keyboard itself just in case you lost the box). The device arrived with the battery FULL so I didn’t need to charge it before using it.I’m using the keyboard to write this review and it feels much comfortable than my +10 years old Bluetooth Logitech keyboard ;)The one downside is its wireless NOT Bluetooth.

Great keyboard.Positives- Very thin - as thin as my Apple Mac keyboard and the keys are less cramped vertically- Nice typing action - good travel on the keys- Good looks - the glossy black with silver trim looks great on my desk.- quiet typing - maybe not silent but definitely a lot quieter than a regular PC keyboard.- Excellent battery life. lasts ages on a charge and has an on/off button to conserve even more power if you are away for long periods.- It's solar powered so no shelling out for batteries every few months.- Very easy setup. Plug the receiver into a USB socket and switch on the keyboard. Done.- I have experienced no lag between typing and seeing the text appear on screen.Fast.- Rubber strips on the base keep the keyboard from slipping on glossy surfaces.Negatives:- Very expensive. Don't think even the metal Apple keyboards are as costly as this.- The back supports, used to put the keyboard at an angle, are flimsy and don't feel like they would take much strain to break. I don't use them though.- Logitech opted to make the key to the right of the space bar, between the Alt & Ctrl a function key to offer additional actions such as volume up and down when pressed in conjunction with the function keys. I think I'd prefer to have it open a context menu as with my other key boards and have dedicated media keys but I guess it was a trade off to use the space efficiently and it is not a big problem.Worth the money if you have enough spare and are looking for a good keyboard.

This is a cracking keyboard - nice to type on, solid feel, and compact on your desk whilst still having all the keys you want. Dim light is more than enough to keep the charge up.I notice other reviews saying that it loses charge over time and is difficult to get enough light to recharge it properly - this is true, but it seems to be just the rechargeable battery wearing out. I have two of these keyboards and have found the battery performance starts to drop after about something like 8-12 months and the keyboard then won't charge as easily. Logitech say the battery is not replaceable, but it is - it's a rechargeable ML2032 button battery (don't put a CR2032 into it) - £3.50 on Amazon. The little battery holder just slides out the top of the keyboard like any other button battery holder. After replacing the battery it's good as new again.I have two of these so I've got one spare - I tend to spill (black, no sugar) coffee on it occasionally - after which i quickly tip it upside down and shake it out, wipe it clean with a damp cloth and leave it upside down on a warm radiator for a week - it comes back to life properly after about 5 days on a radiator and works fine! done this three times so far :(Dimensions if anyone needs them: LxWxD = 432x157x14mm (without the flip out feet out - the top is 27mm of the desk with the flip out feet out.You can have multiple of these keyboards and other logitech devices all connected on the one dongle which is handy.

Previously I had Logitech's MX3200 wireless keyboard, it was getting a bit long in the tooth and grubby. I play a lot of games so it was high time I got a replacement. I've always loved the look of the apple keyboard but always being an apple hater I couldn't bring myself to buying one. This however is the perfect substitute in the looks department. Its so thin and light its unbelievable. The feeling when you press the keys is sublime. Like this review I find myself deliberately typing more then I need to just so I have an excuse to press the buttons. The other amazing thing is that its solar powered. Not only am I saving money not buying batteries but I'm helping the planet! This keyboard hardly ever sees the light of day but it constantly has a full battery. Being so thin it had to be solar powered, you couldn't even fit a triple A inside. For me its only drawback is that it is glossy. As we all know glossy things collect finger prints like old men collect stamps. And considering its something you bash your fingers on constantly it probably wasn't the best design choice. I would be much happier if it were matt. However I could honestly say I would recommend this to everyone. Even if you're a gamer, I play fast paced multiplayer games and haven't had any issues with this being wireless. Also compared to the MX3200 this is a million times better. I just miss having a clock on the keyboard.

I bought one of these for work about a year and a half a go and it's pretty much used 8 hours a day (I work in IT so am using my computer all day every day). There's almost no signs of wear on it and the battery has never once let me down. Several colleagues also have these, one of them being around 5 years old, with no problems whatsoever.I was using a 15 year old yellowed Logitech keyboard at home, so thought it was about time I bought a new keyboard, so I chose this one. I have it paired up with a Logitech MX Master (again, have one of these at work) and they work a treat as a combination. The typing experience on these is perfect and tranistioning between this and my ThinkPad keyboard is an amazing experience.I'm easily hitting 70WPM with a 95% success rate. The design of the proudct is very aesthetically pleasing, in spite of the glossy plastic finish. The keys have a very nice 'textured' feel with a nice contour to fit your finertips very well.As I mentioned, the battery is perfect (I pretty much work from a cave at home, with a desk light to illuminate my space.). It has never once cut out and has never missed a character. The shortcut keys are a nice addition, I personally don't use them very much, apart from the play/pause and the sleep key (thought this has been re-programmed as a lock key).Overall, this comes as a highly reccommend keyboard

When I decided that I wanted a wireless keyboard, so that I had the freedom to move around more whilst also avoiding the messy looking wires, it never crossed my mind at first that a wireless keyboard would need to get its power from somewhere, and of course that meant recharging/replacing batteries. However, Logitech came to the rescue with its solar-powered wireless keyboard!Pros:1. It's one good-looking keyboard - You can't help but admit it!2. It's feels great to type on - I suffer from peripheral sensory neuropathy and RSI too!3. The solar app to see the charging status etc is pretty neat.4. The solar-powering works really well - Even the light from my monitor is enough to keep the keyboard charged!5.There are no gaps into which crumbs etc can fall and block/jam keys.6. The build quality seems great - I'd have maybe felt better if the feet to tilt the keyboard were more substantial though.7. You're doing your bit to conserve energy!Cons:1. It's heavier than I was expecting - I'd guess that's the solar technology.2. It's not exactly cheap for the UK layout - Yikes!3. It's sometimes struggled to keep-up with my typing (I assume there was some interference) - It's very rare though!4. There's no alternate (right) click key.5. There's no caps, num or scroll lock indicators - That's quite common now though.

I agree with all the other reviews that say how beautiful this keyboard is. I too was a little sceptical about paying £50 for a keyboard at first but it is solid, well made and lovely to type with and worth every penny. The way the solar aspect is implemented is very good - you forget it is wireless. I have not experienced the issues with batteries some others have mentioned and knowing I can swap out the rechargeable button cell when it expires, is reassuring.I had one minor issue with a hyper-sensitive key that kept sending multiple characters when you even got close to touching it but Logitech's support was very responsive and they sorted out a replacement very quickly. If, like me,you value after-sales support very highly then Logitech does well in this regard and it makes you confident that if anything goes wrong, they will honour your warranty. The only very minor downside is the lack of status LEDs for Num lock and Caps lock but this would entail more power usage to constantly 'poll' the PC to check the status and as you can easily download a taskbar tool that shows the status, this is not a problem in my view. When you think how much time you spend on a PC, I think this sort of quality is well worth the extra investment and the advantage of not having to worry about batteries cannot be overstated.

I bought this keyboard mainly for streaming video on my HDTV with the computer hooked up to it, so that I can operate the computer on my couch wirelessly. It works perfectly. It has a build-in rechargeble button cell battery, which helps supplying the power to the keyboard.Pros:- Love this Solar powered, no hassle changing battery- 10 ft Operating distance still work perfectly for me (I need a bigger TV...)- Very thin and sleek looking- Works perfectly with wireless mouse with Unifying receiver- Doesn't miss any key I type (I'm fairly fast typing with all fingers on the keyboard)- Rubber pads on the bottom grip the surface well, makes it very sturdyCons: (To be honest, the list below don't bother me that much. But if I have to say...)- The response (key displayed on the screen after typing) is slightly slower than wired keyboard- Keys are shallow (duh... thin design of course), still feel better with the traditional one because I pounch the keys strongly and deeply- No "Caps Lock", "Scroll Lock", and "Num Lock" display (LED) on the keyboard

Same problem as other 1 star reviewers. After 2 months of no problems, all of a sudden it wont charge! Its been sitting on my window sill getting 500 Lux according to the solar app and the damn thing won't go above 20% reserve. If I do use it it only works for a few minutes and the red light starts going mad! Am waiting to hear from logitech after emailing them. Lovely keyboard otherwise!Update: After 5 days by the window the battery is ok now! But now I have another problem, the number 6 key keeps pressing by itself! Luckily both Logitech and Amazon were very helpful, both offered to replace it without any hassle. As amazon could sort it out quicker I took up their offer and am now writing this update using it and it seems fine at the moment. This new one has blue instead of orange colour and the windows key has the windows 8 style logo. Also its grey on the underside as a pose to white and the tilt feet seem more solid. On the old keyboard it would creek a bit near the edges. So far so good!! Thanks Amazon for sorting it so quick.
