The MX Anywhere is the cream of the crop of Logitech's portable mice, and for the most part this latest version justifies its placement and price through its functionality, ergonomics and quality. I use it as my everyday mouse and have no complaints. You'll likely have your own feelings about the very odd wheel, however. In basic mousing, it's very difficult to find fault. The sensitivity is excellent, allowing for small precise movements, aided by feet that are just slippery enough to glide across mouse pads or desks without skittering away altogether. The sensor goes "off road" very well too; I've used the mouse on the wrinkled and folded arm of a well-worth leather couch with no appreciable difficulty. The resistance and feedback of the buttons is well-judged, with the two main buttons responding almost all the way back to the LED on top. Ergonomics and comfort were a particularly pleasant surprise. The sides of the mouse and the wheel are grippy without being tacky, and the top surface has very fine matte texture. The mouse is not quite ambidextrous but works well enough in my left hand; you won't be able to use the "forward" and "back" buttons meant for a righty's thumb, and the few times I used the mouse in my right hand it was a shade more comfortable. (I use a fingertip grip of the mouse; your experience may differ.)The wheel is really odd, though. Logitech's gimmick with its high-end mice is that the wheel moves in little notches like normal, but this is handled by a clutch which you can disengage by pushing the wheel down. (The same way you would click the wheel on an ordinary mouse.) Then the wheel - which is really quite substantial - spins freely and smoothly, so you can get exact adjustments or zoom through documents by flicking the wheel. (The latter sensation is rather like scrolling on an iPad.) The immediate downside is that you can't use the mouse wheel as a middle button, although Logitech have provided a small button next to the mouse wheel for that purpose; the wheel also has a bit more free play than you might be used to.It's the software implementation kind of lets this feature down. The mouse software can operate with smooth scrolling, in which case every motion of the wheel gives a corresponding movement on-screen, which is ideal when the wheel is spinning free. Without smooth scrolling, you get the page-by-page method most mice use which is well-suited to the clicky state. Conversely, smooth scrolling leads to a lot of "wiggle" when the wheel is clicky, as it beds down to the exact position of each notch, and non-smooth scrolling means you lose precision in the free-spinning mode. The mouse won't enable and disable smooth scrolling automatically; you have to either open the software or assign one of your mouse buttons to toggling it. In practice I've just left it on non-smooth scrolling all the time and put up with the lack of precision when the wheel is free to spin. It's a potentially great gimmick that wants for a little sensor in the mouse which tells the software to switch between the two modes. The Anywhere 2S is otherwise just a very nicely-designed, very comprehensively equipped mouse. It'll pair with 3 Bluetooth devices and/or Logitech USB receivers at once and swaps between them easily using the button on the underside. The battery charging port is on the front so you can use it while you recharge, and the battery lasts an age. Commendably the mouse software is not a massive pest to use, and provides a cute function that I've not actually tried where the mouse effectively "remembers" things you've copied and pasted, so you can grab something on one computer, link the mouse to another machine, and drop the files, text, or whatever into their new home. (In practice this is some combination of storing data on the mouse and sending things through Logitech's servers.)This isn't quite the perfect mouse it could be, but it's really damn close. If Logitech wasn't so fixated on its weird mouse wheel gimmick, this would be a five-star review. As it stands, it's a strong recommendation with a caveat. Well worth trying out in a shop first.

This mouse is of an attractive, practical design; its two side buttons for moving back and forwards between (already viewed) web pages are useful; and the sheer facts that it is wireless, has a rechargeable battery and will work on any more or less smooth surface are all good. It is also very easy to set-up. Just charge the battery, plug the receiver into a USB port and move the switch on the underside of the mouse to the on position. Your computer's operating system and Logitech's software will do the rest. And the 'unifying' receiver that comes with the mouse is potentially valuable, as it also works with a Logitech wireless keyboard. So you can rid your desk of another wire and save on a USB port - both mouse and keyboard transmitting to the same receiver. The web page back and forward buttons are on the left hand side, so best-placed for the right-handed, but no aspect of the mouse is seriously awkward for the left-handed.It seems that all buttons can be re-programmed to do different things. Most of us will be happy to stick with the default settings, which in view of the very scant instructions, even on the Logitech website, is just as well. The battery is billed to last for up to two months between charges. That must be if the mouse isn't used! I am an all-day, every-day mouse user and have been disappointed to find the span between necessary re-charges no more than a couple of weeks - even though I do my best to remember to switch it off not only overnight but whenever I put my computer to 'sleep' for a while. So, new routine, connect the re-charge cable about once a week when putting the computer to 'sleep' (it charges from a USB port). The Pico receiver is rather small and easy to lose. Fortunately, it spends most of its time permanently occupying the port in your computer that a wired mouse previously used. A docking port for the receiver on the underside of the mouse, as per the Rapoo 3300P Mini Optical Mouse, would have been a good idea.As claimed, the mouse does indeed work on glass-topped surfaces, so it is finally goodbye to mouse mats - or makeshift mats such as magazines, etc.The metal disc that looks like a single cell battery, found in the packaging, is a powerful magnet. It clings like a limpet to any steel surface and can be used for keeping the charging cable handy.Regarding operating systems, the specification makes claims only for the Mac and Windows 7 and 8. However, in addition to a PC and a laptop both running on Windows 7, I still have a functioning laptop running XP and this mouse works fine on that too. Let's hope it also runs on Windows 10.The publicity makes much of this mouse's portability/versatility between up to three (Bluetooth) devices. But moving between two, even three, computers, each with its own mouse, is really no more trouble than reaching beneath this one to switch between channels one, two and three. If you feel like me about that, and also think two AAA batteries are an acceptable alternative to the rechargeable battery of this mouse, you might want to consider the cheaper Logitech MX Anywhere Mouse. Introduced almost six years ago, that can be said to have already stood the test of time. The warranty on this mouse covers 'defects in materials and workmanship' (hardware only) and is for two years. If mine should fail in that time - or in what I consider a reasonable period following the end of the warranty - I will report further below this line.EDIT: I have now upgraded one of my laptop computers to Windows 10 and can confirm that this mouse is just as happy with that as with Windows 7 and XP. All other aspects of the mouse also continue very satisfactory.

I bought this mouse because I have had trouble with the one that came with my desktop for a while and was getting fed up, especially as during the Coronavirus I was now working from home.I didn’t want to buy a cheap mouse as I strongly believe that you get what you pay for, however I didn’t want to buy an over priced one as at the end of the day they all do the same thing.I did spend a bit of time looking through what amazon offer, as I also couldn’t leave the house and go out and buy one, so it had to be delivered. So I came across the MX Anywhere 2. I preferred one which was larger than the one I was currently using and with customisable buttons, and from the description and pictures this looked the perfect one.I looked at the newer version which was about £30 more expensive, but there seemed to be no functional differences, apart from the battery life and the sensitivity. I went to YouTube and saw a comparison video which came to the conclusion that the MX 2 was actually the better one, due to build quality and being more affordable.I went and order it about lunch time and it came the very next day.I do have very large hands and I can imagine that it fits the average person perfectly, I like a weighty mouse too as it gives me the feeling of actually moving my hand and good quality. What I also like about it, is that it’s rechargeable, which means no more using Duracell or such batteries. I haven’t got an idea of battery life at the moment though. It comes with a free software that allows you choose the function of the buttons including being able to customise the Function of the buttons for specific apps. Lastly, the mouse it’s able to connect to computers/laptops/phones/TVs via bluetooth, however it does come with a dongle that, if I remember correctly allows up 6 Logitech devices, which mean no more wasted USB ports, only 1. You are able to connect the mouse up to 3 different devices via Bluetooth too.To be completely honest, I don’t really understand why some people are complaining about the scroll wheel not having a proper click. An easy fix for this would be to configure the mouse to have the button that is adjacent to the wheel to be the middle click within the Logitech software.Overall a very mouse that exceeded my expectations, and an added bonus that it’s cheaper and better than its successor!! Very good value for money!

I take my mice very seriously and usually have at least 2 in service at any given time, however I usually prefer a full sized mouse even when travelling. Having used this for a couple of weeks I'm fully sold!Firstly, I LOVE the infinite scroll wheel. If you're used to this from other Logitech mice you'll know pretty much what to expect. This one functions just like the MX Performance, in that you press the entire mouse wheel down to activate or deactivate it, and NOT like the MX Master where it's activated automatically. The latter would be nicer, but either is great when compared to other mice, it's a feature I struggle without these days! The other buttons on the mouse work as you'd expect with nice tactile clicks, and even the horizontal scroll (which is done by pushing the wheel left or right) is quite nice and satisfying. Also satisfying are the materials the mouse is made from - everything feels high quality and well built, and definitely justifies the price. The weight and size of the mouse is really good for portability, though you don't get the same solid grip as you would with a full sized mouse. It's comfortable enough for my medium sized hands even for long sessions (I use this mouse at work, frequently for the full day). Battery life is excellent - connecting using Bluetooth (which doesn't need the included adaptor if your laptop / desktop already has a Bluetooth receiver), I usually go weeks without needing to charge, though I do switch it off at the end of each day. Another very cool feature of this mouse is the tiny button on the bottom which allows you to quickly switch between 3 different devices, so you can use this thing on 3 different machines either with Bluetooth or the Logitech adaptor. Very convenient! The sensor is really good - the mouse tracks very well on any surface, including glass, which is very useful if you move around a lot for work. For normal office stuff I don't notice any difference to the MX Master 2S I use at home, however that has a newer, higher DPI sensor, as does the MX Anywhere 2S. For gaming it might be a good idea to look for that. Personally I don't feel it justifies the extra cost, but the MXA2 won't be available forever I assume. All in all this is a very good quality mouse that I recommend without reservation.

Firstly, few things you should know about myself.1. I'm just a normal, everyday computer user. Not a gamer, not a video editor or anything special like that.2. I needed a mouse to effectively end the run of terrible mice that I have been buying over the years.3. My work laptop is Windows and my personal laptop is Mac, this is basically the perfect scenario for this mouse.Well, I succeeded.I selected channel 1 and paired it with my MacBook and plugged in the nano-receiver to my work laptop and selected channel 2. After plug and play installed the drivers on my work laptop I was up and running in literally minutes.I would advise to install Logitech Options from the Logitech website when you have installed the mice.It is available for Mac and Windows. You can do a whole range of customising - down to the application level.e.g. I can set different buttons of the mouse for different applications. In Google Chrome for example, I wanted zoom feature and middle button click to do something different to what it was set up. You can select the application and assign different buttons to different things. The mouse feels robust, slightly on the heavier side but it feels very nice in the hand. Finally, I'll just go through a list of pro's and con's.Pro's.1. You can tell it is well made, robust, feels great in the hand.2. Good sensitivity and great customisation.3. Price - price made it on both Pro's and Con's list for simple reasons. When I was looking at mice, I never thought I would spend over 10, 20 or max £30 for a mouse. But something drew me to the MX Anywhere 2 and having purchased it. It is worth every penny.4. It's rechargeable! And can be used whilst it's recharging with the USB cable. Fantastic.Con's.1. You can pair this mouse with 3 devices, but you only get 1 receiver. So unless you have 2 BlueTooth devices like MacBooks then you can only really use 2 of the 3 channels. It would have been good if they included 2 receivers so that you can use on a 2nd Windows computer.2. Price - Like I said, I never even considered spending over £50 for a mouse before, so in this instance. People can be put off by high price like this. But don't be deterred.I bought this from Currys for around £50 and I'm over the moon with it.

After life was starting to become difficult at home for my eldest child and i to do our works ,i went online and started to look up for a mouse with a bit more functionality and loaded with latest technology than the old one we own for ages.At home,my child and i we're constantly sharing our laptop and computer,so we were finding it so hard to switch from one screen to the other and to operate them at the same time.So after comparing different products and reading reviews, i decided to buy the "Logitech MX Anywhere 2S " as we felt a solution was desperately needed.Luckily it turned out to be a fantastic product. In fact its our new BFF now and its the best mouse we've ever owned. There's nothingto compare with our old one.So the mouse arrived in a little box which also contained a USB cable and a small dongle. Its very easy to set up and to use.The mouse is really sophisticated and comfortable in the hand,it has 2 buttons on the side and the scroll wheel can move in 4 directions. It can read through long pages quickly.Under the scroll wheel you have another button which can be set up to do a variety of functions. In fact, the scroll wheel is actually very easy to spin and got very fast scrolling technology. You can use the mouse on one device via bluetooth and have the other one connected via the dongle or use only blueooth on them all.It can controlled 3 devices and really worked on any surface,no need for a mat.The battery is rechargeable and last for very longer,i don't feel the need to recharge it very often.I'm really happy it doesn't used any alkaline batteries.Everything is easy to use and its a blessing to work with. Our works and especially sharing files are done under half the time we were using before.I'd hugely recommend this mouse to anyone who used multiple devices at home, work,on the go or while travelling. This is a really good little mouse and works with its supplied dongle or with laptop's built-in Bluetooth. On Windows 10 it'll work out of the box, but for extra customisation of the buttons, speed, scroll type and behaviour, it's worth downloading and installing the software from Logitech. It'll also tell you the battery status. One feature of this mouse is that you can press the scroll wheel down to switch between a totally smooth, free spinning wheel (fun to play with!) or a more controlled, indexed, tactile mode, which is great for fine scroll movements. However, on my old mouse, pressing the scroll wheel acts as a "middle button" which I used to use (for example to open a browser link in a new tab). This is not available on this mouse scroll wheel, but it does have another button on the top and 2 on the side which can be assigned for the middle button feature if you want that.If you don't use the side buttons, they can be disabled, though so far, unlike some other mice, they're in a good position so I don't knock them accidentally. It's quite expensive, but feels pretty solid in the hand, and is a decent weight and quite nicely balanced. So I think it was worth the money, and it'll last quite a while.Cons:It's not supplied with any sort of carry case (that's extra and is expensive) but I have some other case to put it in.Nowhere on the mouse to stow the VERY tiny USB dongle, so it's prone to getting lost. Since I use Bluetooth anyway to save a USB port, I just stuck the dongle in a drawer and forgot about it.Pair with up to 3 separate devices and just press the button on the bottom to select between them.If you use it with your left hand, it's pretty symmetrically designed, so left handed people should have no trouble using it, however, the two side buttons won't be so easy to use, as obviously the thumb is going to be on the wrong side.

I love my logitech peripherals so when I saw this on an Amazon pre Prime day deal, I couldn't resist. I have a lot of Logotech devices and they've never let me down, so it was well worth a try. I have been after a wireless mouse for my notebook that had more than the normal two buttons and a scroll wheel. This mouse has two extra buttons I was hoping for plus a fourth which once the MX Anywhere 2 software has been installed can be configured to be anything from a gesture button (new to me) to play/pause, calculator, cortana etc. and multimedia features as well as a whole host fo other features. The gesture button is amazing, press and drag up, down, left, right for start menu, show hide desktop, switch between virtual desktops. You can also customise them and map them to whatever you want. The mouse itself is very comfortable to use as with all logitechs. It is quite small and discreet as with any portable device but not too small to be uncomfortable. It has just enough weight to stay on the desk comfortably but isn't too heavy. There is a strong magnet, presumably to keep the nano receiver safe.Other features are rechargeable battery which charges really fast, two hours, and lasts months. If you don't have a free slot for the receiver you can also connect it by bluetooth, so for example at work where I'm not allowed to connect my own nano but can connect bluetooth devices, this is a handy getaround. It comes with a usb cable for charging which has it's own cable strap to keep it tidy, and when plugged in it can carry on charging and still be used. Overall in terms of versatility it is the most useful mouse I've had from logitech yet. I have been trying out wireless mice for the last year trying to find a good one and this looks like my perfect solution. So glad it was on sale.

Initially wanted the MX Master when there was a price drop in both but I went for this mouse instead due to it's smaller form factor. Honestly was really impressed. Don't be fooled by it's small appearance; it is really comfortable and has a little weight to it (more so than it seems to appear). There is a slight bump on the right side of the mouse to allow easier resting position for the right-handed.Pros:1. Long battery life - (battery indicator can be seen through an app called Logitech Options) used it for 2 weeks after full charge before the 3 bar battery indicator dropped one bar and daily usage varies from 5-6 hours).2. Logitech Options software app - allows remapping of key functions for different apps (Chrome,Microsoft Word, PDF, Media Players etc.) and works smoothly while changing apps.3. Retains most functions of the MX Master except for the dedicated button for infinity scroll/ratchet scroll and horizontal scroll wheel - still able to side scroll but has no fine control over it).4. Connectivity - Bluetooth enabled or just use the dongle provided for wireless experience - dongle is compact enough to be left in a laptop; mouse still functions while charging through connection of a micro USB cable provided)Cons:* Wobbly and less pronounced scrolls while in ratchet scroll mode - not a build quality issue but more of a design issue (the scroll wheel is pretty heavy so scrolls might sometimes overextend; kind of like inertia)= Conclusion =Really great mouse for what it does; a small, portable mouse for travelling in addition to solid software for different key configurations for different apps. Build quality and battery life is also top notch. Overall a good mouse for what it does and if you are in the market for a reliable yet portable mouse then consider this.

If you need a mobile mouse then this is the one for you. It's compact design means that it fits nicely in to your laptop bag pocket and doesn't protrude.Getting set up was easy. You can either use the Unifying USB connector or pair it via Bluetooth. Just flick the on switch on it's underside and away you go. There seem to be a good charge in it right out of the box. I prefer to use Bluetooth as you don't have to worry about the USB connector and also it saves you a USB port in your laptop.Like most mice it has the standard left and right buttons and a scroll wheel in the middle which also acts as a button. On the side it has two buttons which by default allow you to go forward and back in your web browser. The back and forward buttons actions can be customised using the software. The scroll wheel has two modes, one which is click scrolling and the other is a freewheel scroll which allows you to quickly scroll through large documents or web pages. There is a button which sits behind the scroll wheel which changes the mode between click scrolling and freewheel. The scroll wheel also has a left right tilt action. The Anywhere 2S is a very comfortable mouse despite it's small form factor and it seems to be very precise when working on shiny surfaces. I used it on a train table without any issues. It also has Logitech flow and I have used this between my laptop and desktop in the office for copying and pasting images which works really well.I haven't had to charge the battery yet but it states that it will do up to 70 days on a single full charge. Greetings from Berlin. My wife's mouse, a Kensington, met an untimely demise, and it was time to search for a successor. My wife liked the Kensington mouse because it was a nice green color, but apparently green mice nowadays are about as scarce as, well, green mice.Anyway, we've always had good results with Logitech products, of which we've had dozens and dozens, so I looked around and found the good deal Amazon.co.uk was offering on this one.Lubricating my decision-making process was the fact that I had a "£20 goodwill gesture" from Amazon for a previous purchase I had made. This, combined with Amazon's great price of £36 (at the time) constituted an offer I couldn't refuse - particularly because this mouse (Amazon version)was going for about 70€ here in Germany.I bought it, of course Amazon delivered right on time (actually, a day earlier than promised), and saw a happy smile on my wife's face. Before I forget that this is supposed to be a review of the mouse, let me say that we own two other MX Anywhere mice (the original series), and they're still chugging away. (You might ask why I simply didn't give one of them to my wife. The answer is that I don't get the same nice smile with a hand me down.)Anyway, the new one, of course, uses a newer technology, which seems to function quite nicely. I didn't even have to install the software; my wife is happy with the out-of-the box settings. It's a tad lighter (I think) than the old MXs and has moderately attractive "dark bronze" border around the body.Anyway, the mouse is fine, the Amazon transaction was - as always - a pleasure, and I'm a happy camper.

Brilliant product. Extremely comfortable/ergonomic to use, links instantly with Bluetooth (meaning no need for a USB dongle if your device supports it!) and goes for days off a single charge. Like good tyres on a car, a high-spec peripheral device is vital to connect a "power user" to a powerful machine. At first clicking the square button instead of the wheel for "middle click" took some getting used to but this is easily overcome and only to help facilitate the dual speed mouse wheel. Pressing the wheel toggles the amount of resistance the wheel has when scrolling with two options; either the typically 'notchy' scroll which allows for more control, or a freewheeling high-speed scroll that allows you to traverse webpages very quickly.Personally I prefer the former but the new high-sped option definitely has it's merits.I appreciate this mouse comes at a high price when compared with other entry level options but as is often the case - you get what you pay for. A physical button on the bottom allows you to quickly toggle through three devices making it easy to use across a number of computers. This softens the blow a little when taking into consideration 3 budget devices would probably cost around the same, offer a far inferior user experience and likely hog a USB port as well.Key features for me are:- Bluetooth- Long lasting battery- Fast charging battery (3 minutes plugged into the low-power USB on your computer will charge for a whole day!)- Ergonomic design- Handy side buttons.- It feels like a well built, well weighted product that will stand the test of time.

I've always found Logitech mice to be very reliable, and this one is no exception. Especially suited for travel because of its compactness, it can also be used as a standard desk mouse for normal work. My average-sized hand fits over it loosely rather than following its contours - that is, I hold it at a slight angle to the direction of my hand, but this suits me as mice that require a predetermined way of being held can lead to discomfort or even pain if the required grip is awkward. In any event, I can used this mouse all day without any discomfort.Charging is via a port at the front of the mouse, unlike some mice where the same port is, surprisingly, on the bottom! There are the usual programmable buttons that can be set in via the easy-to-use Logitch "Options" software. The scroll wheel is smooth in its action, although its button action is slightly clunky with a lot of travel (I suppose some might call it positive). On another slightly negative note, I am not very keen on the "Front" and "Back" buttons being so high up, and would prefer them to be nearer the bottom of the mouse than the top. That's a minor point, though. As an alternative to Bluetooth connectivity, you get a tiny USB dongle that I find reliable. If you do use Bluetooth, a button on the bottom allows switching between different computers, but I have not tried this.Overall, an excellent mouse that if possible I'd rate at 4.5 stars, but am happy to round up to five. Finally, look out for this and other Logitech products in Amazon's regular discount events, which often has them at great prices.

Excellent (so far, anyway): light, responsive, rechargeable. "nano" receiver is about as small as it can go. It's a bonus that you can pair this with multiple computers (as long as they have a "unifying" receiver). On which subject - the mouse failed to connect, until I ran the software and forced a connection. It's supposed to connect once you press the button and install the receiver, but it just kept on flashing. If you have this problem, download and install the Logictech Unifying Software before trying to install. The software that comes with it is poor - it gets the job done, but the interface is not intuitive and there is no obvious indication that what you've specified has been accepted. And if you don't run it as administrator, half of the options are missing - but nowhere does it tell you this.I stick with Logitech because of the performance - the mouse tracks on just about anything. But historically, the build quality has been fairly dismal. I have a Logitech wireless compact keyboard as well, which sort of ties me to the brand. If anyone else comes along with a similar combination that doesn't suffer from the quality issues, I'm happy to jump ship. This is my third or fourth MX mouse- you really have to regard them as a consumable, as they die relatively quickly - think of it more like rental than purchase. The switches go, or the scroll wheel becomes intermittent. Let's see if this has any better build quality. I'm docking it a star for the poor software and the historic fragility.

I needed a mouse to connect to 3 computers- Windows10 with bluetooth- Ubuntu 14 with bluetooth- Windows 7 with no bluetooth and that I can't install software onand bought this over the MX Master as this can be used in either hand.Overall, one of the best mice I used:- Comfortable to hold and premium feel and look- Very good accurate mouse and doesn't lag like another BT mouse I had did when the computer is busy- Scroll wheel has 2 settings, with clicks on each turn like most mice, and a almost frictionless. The frictionless mode was a surprise, you can flick the wheel and let it spin on it's own, great for scrolling down large documents.Takes a while to get used to it but I always use that setting now.- Switching between computers is easy- Battery lasting well so far.Lost 1 star for attention to the details:- Pairing with Unifying receiver didn't work out of the box. Had to install logitech software on another computer and pair using that. Once done it worked when plugged into other computers. It would be nice if it just worked!- Many wireless mice have a slot to store the tiny USB receiver when not in use, this doesn't.- It uses a technology for BT pairing which isn't supported in Ubuntu 14. Ubuntu 15+ is supposed to have correct version of blueman. It is possible to get the newer version into ubuntu 14 but when I tried it failed and broke the installed packages badly.- back/forward buttons are only for right handed usePrice seems to vary a lot, watch out for a good deal.
