I've been testing this headset for about 10 days now, and below I'll go through the information provided on Amazon and comment on how well I think they live up to the claims:- "Pro-G - patent-pending, hybrid-mesh design lets you hear your games loud and clear, and with realistic precision, just like their designers intended; acoustic porting adds to the clarity of the sound" & "Gaming audio fit for life - lightweight comfort and advanced performance deliver incredible audio in a new breed of gaming headset that you'll want to wear out"The sound is very good for the price no matter whether it comes to music, calls and games. It's clear at the same time as the bass comes through. There are of course better out there, but it's certainly competitive at the price level and great for home usage.- "Lightweight comfort - sports-mesh ear pads surround the ear and provide just the right amount of force to stay firmly in place and comfortably breathable when you wear G233 gaming headset"The headset is VERY light, but it sits safely on the head-also if used as headphones with a phone out and about. The material is very good as it doesn't get too hot and it feels nice on the skin. Yet, I'm not completely bowled over. I actually thought the design felt a bit "square" and I would not want to use it for 4-5 hours in a row when gaming or on a plane or wherever else it would be used.- "Detachable, transformable - quickly transform from gaming mode with your PC or console to on-the-go mode with your smartphone or tablet; detachable, noise-canceling boom mic and cables are included"This is what is really selling it to me! I have had quite a few gaming/skyping headsets in the past and it has always annoyed me that I couldn't use the same one for commuting or travelling without looking like a pillock with the microphone boom sticking out at the top (if it even swivelled that far...). It of course requires some discipline/organising skills to keep track of all the extras (the detachable boom, the different types of cables: Mobile cable with inline play/pause controls and mic, Console/PC cable with inline volume and mute and PC splitter for separate mic and headphone jacks etc.), but a pouch will keep that all together provided you would even need to use it outside home."Console compatible - nintendo switch, PS4 and Xbox One get an upgrade with G233 advanced audio and noise-cancelling boom mic; the standard audio cables plug straight into most console controllers"Correct - but there are lots of cablesAll in all a well-thought-out headset with some particularly good features (detachable boom mic) and some less impressive parts (comfort - they are a bit hard and square for long term usage). Worth the price

The G233 sits towards the bottom of Logitech’s new range of gaming headsets; you could spend twice as much and get the G933 with wireless, 7.1 channel sound; or save a bit by getting one of the older models such as the G230 or G231. If you wondering what is new, the main thing is the “Pro-G” audio drivers (meaning the actual speaker units) which the company says “excel at separation and detail, directionality and imaging.”Well, that is just PR speak, but I am genuinely impressed with the precision of the sound on this headset. In particular, the bass, although not overly extended, is very clean and clear. This is great for music as well as gaming. I like jazz, and being able to follow the bass lines is essential; you can do so easily on the G233.If you like really deep bass as you might get from a sub-woofer, look elsewhere; but personally I'm very happy with the balance Logitech has chosen.I’ve always found that Logitech produce quality gear, and this headset is no exception. What you get is a relatively lightweight headset with a comfortable fabric finish and over-the-ear cups. There are two separate cables. One is designed for PC and consoles, with an inline mic switch and volume control, and an optional splitter for separate mic and speaker connections. The other is designed for mobile, and has an inline microphone (so you don’t need the boom microphone) and switch (no volume control).I used mostly a PC setup. Connection was straightforward. I tested the mic with Skype and while not the last word in audio quality it is perfect for voice communication. I like the comfort, which Logitech says is suitable for lengthy gaming sessions, though appreciate this is a personal thing. The PC cable is braided for resistance to tangling (the mobile cable is not). You don’t get a bag (shame), but the earcups do twist flat for storage.Overall I’d recommend this headset if it matches what you are looking for, ie. wired rather than wireless, and with stereo sound. You can get cheaper, but the Logitech is well-made, comfortable, neat, and has great audio quality.Specs:Weight 259gCable length: 2m PC/Console; 1.5m mobileFrequency response: 20Hz-20KHzImpedance: 32 OhmsSensitivity: 107dB@1KHz SPL 30mW/1 cmMicrophone: Cardiod (unidirectional), back Electret Condenser, Frequency response 100Hz-10KHz

I have used Logitech for over 10 years for various computer bits. They are a very trusted company who offer quality products. These headphones are very comfortable to wear and the fact they can be used for the Xbox, as well as my Nintendo Switch make these great value for money. They also boast about having great features:Lightweight headset - I could not agree more with this as I have found some headsets with the mic to be a bit clunky and heavy after some time. I have been using these for 2 weeks, and the longest session I have had is 3 hours on Splatoon 2. After 3 hours I had no discomfort from wearing them what so ever and after a short break I was ready to go again."Pro-G – Hear your games as intended with Pro-G technology featuring hybrid-mesh audio drivers.By solving common distortion problems, Pro-G delivers booming bass and precise highs so you hear the game, the music, the movie ... as intended."I could not agree more with this. The quality of the sound is perfect there is no distortion in sound and I could hear the others talking to me as clear as anything. Have not used this to watch a film or anything but would imagine the quality would be there. Booming bass again have to agree with various points of a game sound so much more prominent when your playing and at points has made me jump ?"Sports-mesh ear pads – Crafted for long gaming sessions, our sports-mesh ear pads surround the ear and provide just the right amount of force to stay firmly in place and comfortably breathable"Again during the 3 hour gaming session I had the comfort of this headset. It's perfect, never felt hot between the ears, apart from when I had a bad game of course. This headset really does provide the gamer with comfort and great quality.Would recommend this headset to any pro gamer or casual gamer this is remaining with me for awhile to come and would replace with another Logitech in the near future

Whilst this is described as a gaming headset, it doesn't have to be exclusively used for gaming - indeed, it is very good for listening to music as well (which formed the focus of my tests). On opening the packaging, the headset looks very complicated, given the number of wires which are included but in essence, there is a cable for connecting the headset to a computer or laptop, which has separate headset and microphone jacks, and another cable for mobile phones, which have a single, combined microphone and headset jack. So, not so complicated once you get to the bottom of what the cables are for.The sound quality of this headset is pretty good and I also found that it was able to distinguish between high and low pitched notes with exceptional clarity. However, the aspect which I was most impressed with was the comfort.I have used several different types of headsets over the years and the one problem I have consistently found is that they don't allow the efficient transfer of heat and accordingly, it doesn't take very long before my ears become very warm and the headset quite uncomfortable. With this headset, the type of material is much more breathable and doesn't retain the same level of heat. Hence, I found that they were much more comfortable to wear than conventional headsets. In summary, a very comfortable (gaming) headset and which offers pretty good sound quality (albeit, I am not a professional audiophile).

A mid-range headset aimed primarily at gamers, though the microphone attachment can be removed so they can just be used for listening to music. The main sellng point is the Pro-G drivers in the earpieces, which claim to give clearer sound and better bass. So:SOUNDThe soundstage is aimed at games, so there's a clear bass and a focus on crisp separation at the high end. This would also be a good setup if you're into electronic dance music and current pop, then. Very good for the price, anyway.COMFORTYou can tell these have designed for long sessions at the PC, as they're very light and their fabric is that sports mesh material that wicks away sweat. Again, well thought out for the target user.DESIGNThe microphone being detachable is a good idea, as are the two cables supplied, one aimed at listening to music on a phone and the other for the PC/console plus a cable splitter for the PC audio input/output. The only thing I don't like is the bright blue mesh, which looks like it will start to look a bit manky very quickly given it's planned proximity to hair and sweaty ears It's reminiscent of those always- grimy nylon seats you used to see in libraries and airports. That's pretty much my only negative though - overall a good pair of mid-range 'phones.

I have been using this headset mostly with my Xbox One. They are very light and comfortable which suits for long gaming sessions. They are quite large and the ear cups surround my ears completely, almost like having 2 comfortable large speakers on your head! The different cables for gaming and using phone / music are good. These are easily swapped over, with the mobile cable set up with volume control and a microphone for use with the phone. The console cable also has volume and mic controls. There is a microphone for the headset for gaming which I need and works as well as you would expect. This is easily removed if you only want to use the headphones. The sound quality is quite good for gaming, explosions and gunfire sound are loud, booming and sound pretty real. This really enhances the gaming experience.I would not however like to use this headset for listening to music. I listen to mostly electronic / techno music, and the sound is not ideal for this. The bass is not punchy enough, they seem rather low volume and with the size of the headphones it feels like the speakers are too far from your ear. They are also in my opinion much too big to wear outdoors so not really suited for mobile phone use.

These come with two cables one for ps4 or pc etc and a shorter one with smaller control switch for mobile devices. Also a microphone. The control switch has a setting to turn microphone on or off which is important to note as initially I could not get it to work as hadnt realised it had an off setting or that it arrives in off.I tested this using some game music as I didnt have a ps4 to hand. The sound quality was very good and noise isolation from ambient sounds in room was enough that during gaps I could hear my heartbeat! They are of a nice cool feeling fabric and are comfortably encasing my ears and not too tight against them.I then tested the microphone and headphones together with my language learning software on the pc.The microphone passed the test as using a pronunciation chapter I managed to get the software to understand my pronunciation and to gain top marks. It is easy to alter the direction of the microphone as bends easy and nice that can be removed. These are very nice headphones both for playing games and for not annoying your other half quite as much when learning a foreign language (they only have to listen to one half of conversation!) and of course plain old music.

A very good set of gaming headphones that can also be used for all of the other things you would use headphones for: the microphone is removable and you can swap the cables about depending on what you're using them for. Good range of sound from bass through to treble, however, it's not brilliant if you just want to use the headphones for listening to music. The ear cups are comfortable to wear for long periods (which is what you want from a pair of gaming headphones), your ears don't feel like a pair of over warm lamb chops after a few hours like they would do with less breathable material, and the same padding being included within the strap also cushions the top of your head. The band is fully adjustable so should fit virtually all head sizes. You'd think, given that they cost quite a bit of money and there are detachable bits and numerous cables they'd spring for a bag to keep it all together which is why I knocked off a star. However, they are very good, worth the money if you're using them for gaming and I would recommend them without hesitation.

These headphones come with two cables: one for mobiles and one for PCs (which you can split into audio and mic), they both have the same ending so you need to make sure you use the right one ( I didn’t and was cursing it until I read the instructions properly). I tried the headset out with the microphone using Skype on a Windows PC and the sound was crisp and clear for both me and my recipient. Music sounds excellent, I tried orchestral music and opera and the quality was very good. My wife could hear the music when she was sat next to me so they may annoy you colleagues if you want to use these in your office - if you are sat playing games in your bedroom it won't matter! The headphones are quite warm to wear with the material pads. It was a sunny day and my head was very sweaty when I took them off after a couple of hours. You also should be careful taking the headphones off because you can pull the pads if you don't grip them right, and they are quite fiddly to get back on again.

I got this primarily for Xbox One usage after seeing it was compatible. My first real gaming headset, however only intended ever to use on the Xbox. The first thing I noticed was not all Xbox One controllers have a jack point to connect the headset to. So make sure your controller does have one before using. Next there is obviously a correct way to put the headset in, so if you look closely you will see a L and R symbol to direct you. However I would of liked the detachable boom to be plugged into both sides, as I would find it more comfortable on the other side.Sound-wise these are good and if you have to have your TV on mute then a very good option. The bass is obviously not the same as a soundbar /subwoofer but it is clear enough to hear important sounds on games (i.e. people creeping up behind you)

This wired headset delivers in all departments: it’s comfortable and lightweight – though I only used them for no more than a couple of hours in one sitting, the sound quality seems well balanced – neither too bass driven and distorted, nor too treble oriented and tinny and the microphone worked well and didn’t distort the voice. You can buy cheaper headsets that don’t sound as good and you can certainly buy more expensive ones. For the price, these deliver quality in all departments, though they are wired – there’s no Bluetooth wireless option.I don’t give them five stars because I would like to have had a wireless option. Otherwise, these are a very respectable pair of gaming headphones that seem durable, comfortable and with very good quality sound.

I got these to replace a cheap PC headset that sat on the ears rather than around. These certainly clamp onto my head and make a nice tight seal, I can't wear them for a huge amount of time as they are a snug fit for me, a couple of hours at the most. Saying that, it isn't really a complaint, I've other headphones that are not as tight and I'm always having to re-adjust them as they start sliding down. The only thing I have to complain about (and why I'm knocking a star off) is that the plug connections at either end need a really good plugging in otherwise the connection isn't great, crackles and loses audio. Once it is in properly it is fine though.I've not had this problem with any other headphones I have.

I am very impressed with these. They are extremely comfortable for extended wear. Fantastic sound quality and a great variety of leads. One of my tests for headphones is to mow the lawn with them. The sound exclusion is excellent and clarity shines through. I used them with my iPhone 6 Plus and the slimline jack fitted perfectly even with my protective case. The loss of star is because the inline mic doesn't work with the iPhone, it doesn't directly claim to but does say they are also for mobiles. The kit worked fine with the Xbox though. One of the best headphones I have reviewed for both comfort and quality

Great set of gaming headphones, that work surprisingly well with music and voices - I tested those with the desktop and smartphone and I was especially impressed with the clarity of sound coming out of spoken podcasts. Music has good bass and depth of sound and when listening to SFX heavy movies, they are even more impressive - great for gaming. Those headphones are very comfortable too, a bit too bulky for my taste to carry them outside, but for domestic use, they are great. Microphone works really well (on skype), all in all, a great set of headphones for whatever the use.

Used on the Playstation 4 for gaming. Fit very comfortable and sound is crystal clear, excellent sound of game and conversation too...no interference and whilst playing cod had excellent comms with other players and no reports of sound issues from others either. Genuinely comfortable on my ears and was playing for a few hours straight. They were great at cancelling sound around me so I was fully immersed in the gameplay. Would recommend as they seem very robust and well made too.
