I have bought a few lock and lock containers recently after we had an outbreak of moths that came in some hamster food and horror of horrors, got into my food cupboards. We had to have a major clean up and disinfect the cupboards, chuck most of the dry goods, and I read that you need very good sealed containers for flour etc until your are on top of the problem. These seem to be recommended in a number of places as the only real airtight ones.Most of the sizes I got were the taller ones, for 1kg or 500g of baking goods, but this particular size is good for containing all the little packets and tubs of baking goods that you don't want to decant into a tiny container.

So we have a number of different styles of snap lock containers with silicone seals but the lock and lock ones are by far and away the longest lasting. We would say probably the only type that come close are Sistema but other ones the hinges seems to go very quickly. That's not to say the hinges on the Lock n Lock ones don't go but they take a lot longer.We fairly hammer our boxes in the dishwasher and the microwave and they seem to have survived pretty well. We've only had one break the side wall and that was because it went in the freezer overfull.Would definitely recommend these style boxes.

Lock & Lock containers are great. I have various sizes and use most of them regularly. They are sturdy, keep things fresh, lock perfectly and are easy to clean. I have a family member who mentioned that dishwashers can cause problems, due to the heat, causing the lids to not fit as well. I have never put mine through a dishwasher and never had a problem, despite cleaning them in very high water temperatures on occasions, so I assume it's the sustained temperature throughout the dishwasher cycle that can cause the issue, which I suspect would be an issue for most containers of this type.

Bought this size as the multi variety didnt have them, and the small ones arent as useful as I thought they would be. Use them for lunch packs. They lock well, you do have to be quite strong to push them shut either side of the box. I put them in the dishwasher and they come out fine, if a little wet, something to do with plastic and dishwashers, not the brands fault. They are very study and as far as I know dont leak. I have never put liquid in them but thicker sauces are fine and bolognaise hasnt been a problem.

The problem, with this brand is once you have purchased one you find that you need more and more. Fortunately they do them in as many configurations as anyone could need (or think of), so there is bound to be one for everyone. I have tried other's but this is the brand that I keep coming back to because of its robustness, air-tightness and durability. If anyone is any doubt, as I know you can get alternatives from the £1 shop, stop, pay the extra as these will last far longer.

I always find that the Lock & Lock containers are good quality, and this is no exception. A good airtight seal meals that this can be used to transport food without leaking.It can be hard to tell what size things are when you order online, but a container of this size is large enough to fit a big portion of food that would serve 6-8 people easily. It's not too deep, so there is also enough space to fit other things on top of it on an average fridge shelf.

Was already a happy owner of a few lock & lock products and needed more to fulfill my needs for storage of baked goods and lunch boxes.The four snap locks effectively secures the containers and messy accidents are avoided when carrying soups to work.The delivery speed was excellent after only 5 days i had it in my hand in Sweden.

Do the job and feel very robust but don't think for one minute they stack. They sit on top of one another ok but they do not stack into each other like I thought. They are still a bit of a waste of space and still form a teetering tower of plastic boxes in the cupboard. They do everything they should do apart from stack!

My existing, quite new, boxed First Aid car kit would not fit in the recommended place, behind the arm rest between the 2 rear seats in my new convertible car. This Lock & Lock airtight 2.6L box nicely accommodated all the kit and fitted neatly where suggested, so is proving ideal for my requirements.

Lock & Lock are one of the best kitchen container products. All sizes are available. When buying, it is important to be absolutely sure the size you order is the one you want. This one is a generous size and is useful for a couple of lunches together or storing away in the kitchen. Recommended.

Good size, non-leak box for my daily lunches. I really have no issues with the lunchbox at this time. Would have given 5 stars if it came with some kind of divider as it would be most useful to be able to split the generous container to avoid my food touching.

I have been looking for a box for my weekly homemade lemon tray bake and this box holds it.Keeps it fresh all week if the cake lasts that long.Really pleased I found this size I have been looking for ages in the supermarket but never this size in stock

Tried other and cheaper alternatives but these are the best. they are strong, durable and most importantly the lid doesn't come off in your bag or rucksack. Check the dimensions before you buy so you know exactly the size you are ordering.

Having purchased several sizes and shapes from the range, as my needs increase or change I occasionally add to the collection. This is another of those occasions.Airtight, watertight and resilient - what more could you really want?

Excellent container. Mine was perfectly water-tight, see the photos for yourself. Several other containers I've bought off Amazon claim they're air-tight, but this the first one thats living up to it. Seems sturdy and well made too.
