Hopefully this will help those posting 1 star reviews due to the constant 'yapping' or 'whining' noise coming from their Snuggles. If you find yours is displaying this 'fault', it may not actually be faulty. I, like some of you, bought this for my daughter for Christmas. I was disappointed to find it not working straight out of the box and tried fresh batteries. After installing the new batteries, it started making the constant yapping noise described by several others and I couldn't get it to stop without switching it off. I became angry that a brand new popular toy could be faulty before even being played with and started looking desparately for local stores with stock. Not finding any,I decided to do a little research to see if it was a common fault and whether it could be fixed. I came across reviews of other people with the same issue and became even angrier. I persisted with the research and came across an 'Important Notice' on the Little Live Pets website - the dog takes four batteries. I thought it a little odd as I could only find two under the screw panel where the on / off switch is located. After looking at the toy again, I found another screw panel on the paw of the other back leg and, lo and behold, there were indeed another two batteries. Replacing these bought the toy back to life and, after the initial disappointment, my daughter was over the moon.Now, the review. Besides the woeful lack of immediate documentation detailing the location of two other hidden batteries, the toy is incredible. My daughter loves it and hasn't put it down since it was bought back to life. It's one of the more realistic toy dogs my daughter has, and she has a lot! There is a little machine noise, but nothing overpowering and certainly not as bad as some of the more expensive animatronic dogs out there. The way it closes its eyes when bottle feeding it is so cute, I can't recommend this enough! For the price, you can't beat it.

Purchased from a different seller on Amazon.Usually toys are so over described and they come as a disappointment to both the buyer and the recipient if it is a gift. This is an exception as it does everything it says.I have only a few warnings:-1/Don’t let a young child try to unpack it, there are so many plastic ties holding the puppy into the box.2/Have plenty of AA batteries ready (4 at a time) and a small screwdriver so you can get into the battery hatches (one on each foot)3/Keep it away from adults or they will want it.It is a soft toy which reacts in a number of ways to touch and even when you lay it down to go to sleep it breathes and occasionally snores.If you touch its mouth with the bottle,it makes drinking noises and grunts with satisfaction when you stop (this seemed a bit hit and miss)It has such expressive eyes and you can just imagine it looking at you. Its movements seem quite natural but not overdone.If even comes with an adoption certificate and a name tag on its collar so you can write its name on it.The recipient of the one I bought calls it "Goldie"SUPERB

My mum bought this from amazon for my little girl for christmas.However like others it started this constant yapping. Unlike others I decided to fix it and performed a full dog operation of removing said feet checking all the connections and putting back together again.So. Still made constant yapping noise.Arrggh.Then when I thought all was lost.I kept reading takes 4 batteries.Well mine doesnt just the 2.Oh.There are two in each paw...... in each paw!!!!I replaced all 4.Dog is working completely fine.So after two hours of sewing the thing back together before my daughter noticed, all it needed was those 2 extra batteries replacing.Doh!!!!Daughter loves this puppy.Shes only 2 years but asksfor him to come everywhere I was having mind seizures thinking how I would even do a return without upsetting her.

Bought this Little Live Pets for my daughter for Christmas 2016, and she absolutely loves it.It's so soft she loves to snuggle with it, and its one of the more realistic puppy toys we've seen on the market.What's particularly good is that it isn't yappy and annoying (not sure what some of the other reviews are about) and has lots of different ways to interact with it. Unlike some other toys, the sounds of the internal workings aren't too intrusive either (for anyone who's used the Laugh N Learn Puppy you'll know what I mean).Loads of packaging to get rid of, but it's a kid toy, that's half of the fun!Will have to wait and see how long the batteries last,but I've got a feeling this one will keep duracell in business for a while.

Received today. Not happy. Lovely toy but although I ordered the English version I have received a Polish version. As it only makes puppy sounds this won't be a problem for my granddaughter when playing with the toy but as non of us understand Polish we can't understand the instructions on the box. Hope the instruction leaflet inside has English instructions and the adoption certificate is not in Polish. Don't want to open the box to check as this is a gift. Going to keep it as this is the toy my granddaughter has been asking for for her birthday and it was the last one in stock.

We got this for my son for Christmas from another store. He loves snuggles. And he is very cute! For the price he doesn't do a great deal but we got him on offer. Snuggles is my sons favourite toys. The biggest let down/annoyance for me is it's goes through batteries like crazy! It takes 4 AAAs and they run out every 2weeks ish. He is played with a lot so this is proberly why but still I find a new set of batteries every 2 weeks abit excessive. And if you don't change them snuggles makes a very annoying half hearted bark, over and over and over again.

Father Christmas 'delivered' this little dear for my 5 year old. I was very reluctant about this purchase for a long time but gave in, and I'm so glad that I did.Snuggles is adorable. Even adults instinctively cuddle, stroke and talk to him (who is now a her apparently). It's still going on the first set of batteries that we put in, and best of all... Snuggles is actually being played with on an almost daily basis!

Bought one for our daughter, kept yapping after a days use. After seeing a number of reviews with same problem I was all set to return it however, I realized if you touch its nose it yaps, so I punched it on the nose a few times until it stopped. Now works perfectly and our little girl loves it. The switch behind the nose must be a little sticky and get stuck.

Darling little puppy... Absolutely adorable ..we were all captivated by this lovely toy .. the little recipient was utterly delighted .. it became a bit of a bun fight as to who could get time to cuddle it.. best bit is stroking it's head and it's eyes open and close.. incredibly endearing❤️

We bought this as a present for my daughters 3rd birthday and she absolutely adores it. To be honest, we have been woken in the middle of the night by it coming to life but it didn't matter because she is besoted with it like it's a real dog. Really lovely gift.

My daughter loves it, she did have the white tiara one but got really dirty and broke as my daughter sat on it and the neck started to click every time it moved, so got this one a few months ago and still works fine she loves it just as much

This is the second time buying this item,my son lost the last one, I can honestly say there great,my son loved he’s and two years later is still asking for another which I decided to get him for Christmas, worth every penny. Thanks :)

Bought this for my granddaughter's birthday and she absolutely loves it. It goes everywhere with her and is treated like a real puppy. Very good quality and does everything it says it will do. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Purchased happily great gift for someone who really wants a dog but doesn't have the time. The way that the puppy breathes is really realistic, cute and impressive great toy would definitely purchase again. Fun to feed.

Haven't had a good play with it yet as it's my daughters birthday present. She's been wanting one for a while now! But from the demo interaction it's very cute and I can see why my daughter has fallen in love with it!
