I have tried every method of making poached eggs including poaching bags, poaching pockets, with vinegar, without vinegar. Then I gave up and stuck to frying eggs until I found this little treasure. I roughly put 1/3 of a pint in each pocket and heated in my 700 microwave for 1 minute. Initially having little faith I only put an egg ( medium size) in one section, covered and cooked it for 1 minute then left it for 30 seconds. It lifted out of the pocket very easily on to a piece of kitchen paper to absorb any drips of water. The result was a perfect poached egg. However I like my egg yolks to be quite set so I think the 45 seconds recommended would be about right,

Sturdy design, nicely see-through and well-crafted. Great poached eggs just as described. I recommend standing the poacher on a plate in the microwave, at least until you've had a chance to experiment with cooking times using your particular microwave and different sized eggs etc. 45 + 45 seconds is not long! The water overflowed the first time, but I may have put a bit too much in, and anyway that is the timing given for 2 eggs whereas I was only doing 1 so it may have needed a shorter time or perhaps a pause mid-cooking.All in all, just the job.

Used one of these for a number of months now, perfect every time. Kettle has already boiled for coffee so I pour a little into one compartment break in the egg into microwave for 38 seconds at 600. It may take three or four goes to get it right, depends on the eggs you use and your microwave. Easy to clean if you give it a quick wipe while it’s hot. Total time about a minute. There seems to be an awful lot of messing about with the majority of poachers. Dusty

I don't have much to compare this too, but I have used the little silicone things and found them a bit of a faff. This was really easy, microwaved for a minute with the pods 2/3 full of cold water, cracked an egg into each pod (was quite sceptical at this point), then microwaved again for 1 minute. Eggs were perfect, firm whites and runny yolk, very impressed. You may need to adjust the times depending on your microwave

Timing combined with the power of your microwave is absolutely crucial. Their instructions of heat water for 40 secs add egg(s) and microwave 40 secs and leave to rest for 40 secs are a good starting point. After a little variation you should see some pretty good results. The biggest point is after heating water quickly add egg(s) and m/wave again.

Used this to cook poached eggs for 20 people. It took some time with just a tow egg tray but worked perfectlyTip - for medium eggs, put in hot (not boiling) water into both trays and cook eggs for 1 minute. Perfect Poached egg!

This works a treat if one follows the instructions carefully. The size of the egg matters and time has to be adjusted. Dishwashed without a problem. Eggs do not explode.

Absolutely amazing! First microwave poacher that actually produces wonderful poached eggs that look and taste like poached eggs. And ive ttied quite a few.

Bought these as had seen 86 year old using them. Didn't stick too booby cup as he said and easy too wash .depending on size of egg was 2min approx too cook

Love this little thing, best thing for quick, easy and no mess. In my microwave I had to do 90seconds for the perfect yolk and fully cooked white.

Arrived within time and well packaged. Takes a while to get the water level right, but does work but not quite as well as I`d hoped.

Making a poached egg has never been easier. I love this product, no hassle and you get the perfect egg. Worth the money definitely

Egg gets stuck to it a bit, but not too bad. Really quick to make the eggs but just need to gauge the timings better.

Bought one of these before and found it cooks poached eggs perfectly for my liking. No need to pierce egg yokes.
