I was frustrated that previous cycle computers didn't last very long, weren't accurate and often didn't work (as my bike is tall and often they don't work over a certain height from the sensor). I found out about gps computers and realised that they would solve my problem as they didn't need to be connected to a sensor on the wheel below. After much researching and trying to keep to a sensible budget I chose this Lezyne Macro. I must say straight away that it does everything and more that I need. It didn't take long at all to set up and although there seems to be so many choices of function to track on the 5 possible screens, I manged to set these up quite quickly and also after a few rides,I altered what I really needed in a matter of seconds. I also found that it found the gps satellites almost instantly. I had read that another famous brand took several minutes in tier review. this i can assure you was immediate.I like the big screen and the fact that you can choose the layout and number of lines per screen page. This is great and once again easy to alter if you change your mind.Syncing to the app or the website is a doddle and I found both easy to use.I've enjoyed using it and have clocked up more miles since buying it than I would normally do, as it adds to the enjoyment of cycling. If you use the app and choose a point on the map, the screen computer immediately starts giving you simple directions.I'm sure there is more more to discover about this gps computer than meets the eye and I look forward to using it more. The instructions that it comes with a very basic, so simply download the manual from the Lezyne website and it will give you more info but still in a simple to understand way.I set off on a ride yesterday forgetting to set the computer to record and got a message straight away " you are moving, do you want to record this ride" which was great. A nice little extra that helped, as I hate missing out on recording my efforts.I would highly recommend this to anyone. Don't keep wasting your money on cheap cycle computers that break after a few months, just get this !

I have used Garmin GPS units for years - handheld, bike, SatNav for car, etc. But my bike one is 15 years old, so I decided to buy a new one and to experiment with a new brand - Lezyne. I have been impressed with their multitools and pumps. 2 years ago they launched their GPS range. I went for the mid-range Marco unit. I doesn't use Ant+ connectivity for sensors and doesn't have a true barometer but other wise has teh range of features that a mountain biker could need. The Macro has a large dispay that can be customised betweem 5 screens and the numbers of lines per screen. It has the usual range of displayable readouts such as speed, distance, av.speed, max speed, calories, heart rate, altitude, ascent / descent. etc. It links via Bluetooth to externals sensors if you want (e.g. cadence, HRM) and also to the Lezyne GPS Ally app that you can instal on iOS or Android smartphones. My only slight criticism is that the buttons are a bid fiddly and the menu system makes it difficult to sometimes get to the right screen when the device is recording.

Biking about 200 miles per week and not owning a smart phone, I purchased the Lezyne Macro GPS to accurately track the total distances of my various routes. Although this device has lots of programs I will never use, it does a fantastic job for my limited purpose. Using 2 different automobiles, I tested the unit's distance accuracy on a very hilly 12 mile route. In each case the Macro was nearly identical, with only a one tenth of a mile variance for the entire distance, a difference that can easily be attributed to automobile tire pressure. Very impressive! Also the battery life is simply outstanding. On a single charge I traveled slightly more than 32 hours in 8 separate 4 hour segments over the course of 11 days and still had an 11% battery charge remaining. And FWIW, using my IPad power adapter, it only took 3 hours to fully recharge the Macro. Finally with my 61 year old eyes, the large screen showing mph's, distance and time of day is an added bonus. This is an excellent GPS and well worth the money!

Bought this for my wife and so far very pleased with it. Added a Heart Flow Meter last week and it picked up straight away. overall it seems nice quality, compact but reasonably sized screen ( about the same as my Garmin 520) with clear display and functionality. My wife has set the screen settings to how she wants them and now she's used to it is updating her rides to Strava easily. Accuracy also seems very good against my Garmin and my Strava App on phone. Perhaps doesn't have quite the mapping capability of a Garmin, but think this is excellent value and so far I would certainly recommend

Having looked long and hard at all the alternate units (some at many times the price) I bought this one and have been amazed. It connects to my TomTom speed and cadence sensors plus heart rate. Works amazingly well with my old iPhone to give breadcrumb navigation and using the Ally app to get my created routes on the unit is a doddle.A little larger and heavier than some units but performance and battery life are amazing.Highly recommended unit with a huge amount of "how to use it" materials available on Youtube etc.

It works great on that it connects to GPS quickly. The down side is the software is only decent at best. After over to hundred miles of riding, I've realized that the battery life benefit greatly outweighs the mediocre software. Also, I'm unsure if backing up to the cloud actually saves my rides. I had to reset my phone, had already backed up everything to the cloud as the app suggested, yet when I went online to view my rides, none were saved. Again, battery life is amazing and that was the biggest draw for me.

Excellent GPS for the money, lots of functions and works well with the Lezyne app running on my Android phone. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a bike GPS, that gets the job done without costing hundreds of pounds.I have bought the out front mount for my road bike as on the stock mount it was a bit chunky looking when positioned on the handlebars, but not so when on the out front mount. I used the stock mount on my MTB and it looks at home there.Buy it.

I’ll start with the worst: this device is ugly.It looks like an alien dropping that even it mother wouldn’t love. But if you can get past that, then it’s a pretty capable GPS cycle computer – it has all the good things of a Garmin Edge 500, with better GPS, a longer lasting battery, navigation that actually works, and Strava live segments. If you can get over how ugly it looks, that is.

Looked at this and the Lezyne super. Couldn't really justify the extra functionality for an extra £50. It's highly customisable via the lezyne app. For me the best bit is that it works with both my android phone and my polar h7 at the same (something the garmin didn't seem to do). It has fully customisable heart rate zones also great to ensure I'm working out efficiently.

Easiest when I’m using it with .gpx files uploaded through the Lezyne website. Just follow the line. Battery life is incredible and nice to customize screens / data fields for each bike I use it with via the app. Firmware update was simple once I got the correct cable.

Great GPS computer, with a lot of features that you can choose to use or not, particularly like the breadcrumb trail feature ,only fault that I can report on is that the screen display could be a bit brighter but apart from that would highly recommend this computer.

liked it ok but really wanted gradient percent grade and feet climbed etc the next unit up has this I think I went with different brand which has altimeter etc not very clear on spec sheet when reading about these

Great little gps. Everything you need and then some. Great for my short rides around town. Battery life is okay for longer rides as well. Syncs up with my strava perfectly. Just make sure to get the updates.

2.2.2018

Outstanding bit of kit. Why buy Garmin at three times the price. Hooks up to GPS quickly. Appears accurate and links to strava via lezyne Web based program. Perfect. Delighted with this product ?

Easy to use, good technical support and most importantly the company continued with upgrading the firmware with new futures.
