i bought these recently and I absolutely love them, although I had to return them because they were too long - the shortest they will go to is 110cm. However, further searches found a shorter version which start at 100cm (available on Amazon, but purchased elsewhere so I got them for my hols). I've just been walking in the Alps with the shorter version poles with snow, ice and grass/mud/rocky trails to contend with. The poles really propel you along, especially on the flatter surfaces. I havent tried them with steeper trails up or down yet, that will have to wait until my next hols. These poles fold so they can be put into a small rucksack, they also come with their own carrying bag.The biggest problem I had was actually putting them together, the instructions are hopeless - one you have inserted the 3 pieces together, you need to pull down the extender (located about 5cm below the speed lock- do not confuse this with the speed lock extension which has with 10pcm or 110cm written on it) the extender will click into place and a small silver button will appear - the pole should now be taught and can be extended as required using the speed lock. To re-fold the pole press the silver button and pull apart the sections. This pole only comes with a small basket and has a spike end. If you need snow baskets or rubber ends - with or without spikes - you will need to order these separately - I've found these are cheapest on Amazon - they come in standard or Nordic styles. The baskets simply unscrew and then pull off, the rubber ends are simply pushed on until they are in place. Love the poles, I hope you do to.

These poles are awesome! Very lightweight, very compact when folded and very sturdy to use. They also look amazing!The only reason for 4 stars is that they are advertised with a Photo adapter but they do not have one.I love them and wouldnt be without them on my hikes now.

I used these poles recently during a week's walking holiday in Scotland and they performed well. I love the way they assemble/disassemble quickly and easily. They're very light and take up little room inside my pack. They are a bit pricey though.

Excellent poles very sturdy and easy to set up. I'm 5 ft 2 inches so the height is perfect for me. Had to send the unisex poles back as they were too big.
