Having worked as a part-time cleaner I know a little about how different mops work, so I thought I'd give this Clean Twist disc-mop a try.The first most noticeable thing about this set is the size of the bucket – it`s pretty big for ordinary domestic use, only just fitting into my kitchen sink; more problematic for me (ironically) is that it wouldn't fit into the sink at my workplace, so I had to fill the bucket by using another bucket when I tried it there. The system offered here is a simple but effective one, utilising a simple spinner fitted in the wringer of the bucket that works in conjunction with a screw-rotation thread within the mop handle, controlled with an on/off lever on the shaft; as the mop is pushed down in the wringer it spins the water out. The mop itself has a round plastic plate which takes a replaceable, microfibre round mop head which is designed like a traditional cotton string mop and is good for general cleaning use.Microfibre is very absorbent; it's good at lifting water, but a bit reluctant to relinquish it; this makes it great for smooth, flat surfaces like tiles, vinyl and particularly laminates which can be damaged if too much water is used; this degree of control is useful, effectively lifting dirt, particularly with domestic floor types. From my own experience microfibre ribbon-mops do this too, but the kind of floor covering I used to deal with – an industrial, non-slip, raised-dimple textured surface - required a good application of water with a traditional cotton mop to break up the dirt, otherwise grime would build up in the spaces round the dimples; the ribbon mops proved ineffective and only cleaned superficially; this type of mop head is probably better due to it`s design, but still – in my opinion - more suited to domestic kitchen/bathroom floor surfaces. The mop head is machine washable and the bucket comes with a 2 year guarantee.I found the system performed quite well; I tried it on my bathroom floor with good results then unleashed it on my studio floor – a much bigger challenge – again with good results. The weak point is in the plastic lever control on the shaft – if that breaks, the system is redundant, but otherwise it's a good piece of kit; the mop is efficient and the spinner takes the strain out of the wringing required with ordinary mops.It isn`t mentioned anywhere, but using the mop dry is probably effective for removing dust on wooden laminate flooring, just the same as flat microfibre mops.A good product that does the job well, but it`s pretty expensive and has that one questionable design point.

I got this set because I have an ironing board by the same manufacturer and I have been very pleased with it. So expectations were high. I was a bit surprised at the rrp, but I researched the mop and bucket market and this is actually a mid range price. The leading brands charge as much as double, and although I identified similar sets at half the price, the quality seemed poor. The set is supplied in a box covered with pictographic instructions - I prefer words to remove guesswork, but they're limited to a few sentences - the joy of the global market! In fairness, super easy to put together - just screw 2 halves of handle together and screw handle to mop head. Note that the screws work back to front,so not 'righty tighty, lefty loosey' but anarchy!! I admit that this flummoxed me for several minutes, rather embarrassingly, but I confess so as to save you frustration! Anyway - then you click on the mop head. Easy.I was doubtful that this would match up to the performance of my usual mop, which is a market leading brand with a wedge shaped sponge with two different scrubbing surfaces... How could microfibre strings do a comparable job? I was wrong. I have just mopped the downstairs of our house (wood, vinyl, tile) and this mop picked up more dirt and only left a couple of bits not collected. I am really surprised. Also ashamed at how dirty the water was afterwards!Using the mop is easy on your back (I have slipped discs - all fine but aches easily). It adjusts easily in height - I am 5'10" and fully extended the handle ends above my solar plexus. (Shrinks about a foot for people who are more diminutive). The mop head and handle have a click joint that easily allows you to stand the mop straight or use it bent. The circular mop head moves easily with less effort required and no scrubbing motion or pressure necessary. The bucket is large, but I love the colour. I can't tell if the spinner actually spins... It doesn't look or sound like it, but I think I am expecting it to be like a salad spinner and it isn't! Following the pictograms, I just pushed the mop down several times and it came out wet but not dripping. Magic! Perfectly wet enough to clean well, but dry quickly.I haven't washed it yet, but you can detach the mop head and machine wash it. Will update if this is problematic...All in all, I am very impressed. This makes mopping easy and quick, and it's very effective. Now to find a space in the cupboard to store it!

I really like this mop, and I'm a bloke!... Yes for the first time I actually decided to mop the floor without the wife moaning at me, and that had her demanding a 5 star review!... Lets look deeper...The actual cleaning action is good, you have the circumference of the underside of the head in nice thick string style mop tassles, they pick up moisture when dry, and put down a nice cleaning action. The mop head is circular, and we were worried that corners would be missed, but they were great, the head actually lifted debris out of the corners, rather than squashing muck into place.Rising out and washing out the head is easy, it pulls on and off, for replacement, and drying. The bucket is decent quality, the spinning inner lining of the drying is free spinning, and it's all very simple to use. After screwing the three parts of the mop head and handles in place, you have a latch, releasing the latch lets the head spin freely, you then put it in the bucket drier and push down so it spins... No manual spinning, no bending down! The spin dried out anything you pick up, then you can rinse and dry again before mopping. The only issue, and it happened a few times, is once the head is spinning you have to let it naturally some to a stop.. You can't just click the latch back down after drying to stop the spin... If you do flip the latch down the head unscrews from the shaft and falls off.... Which was a bit of a pain when you're rushing to clear up a spillage. We soon got used to this problem, however, it could have so easily been solved by having the head screw onto the handle in the opposite thread to the direction of the spin! Such a simple thing annoyed me enough to take away a star, user error, perhaps, but you're trying not to bend down when using this so you have to stand and wait and wait for the spin to stop.

Forty quid is a lot of money for a mop and bucket so this must have something unique...Well, I'm not sure it's unique but I haven't seen a couple of the features present in this set.The Mop's USP: The mop head is round and the handle can be clipped into a vertical position meaning that the mop can stand up on its own in the middle of the floor - no need to lean against anything. The Bucket's USP: It has a spinny thing for drying the mop head.In truth the spinny thing in the bucket only works in conjunction with another feature of the mop, that is that pushing down on the handle causes the mop head to spin. This means that when the mop head is inserted into the spinny thing in the bucket and the mop pressed down it whizzes around causing the water to spin out - hopefully into the bucket. Just make sure all of the mop strands are below the mop head and inside the bucket otherwise you'll be spraying water everywhere.I don't think the spinning mop head is intended for cleaning use, just wringing, however this brings me to my first concern with this set. While everything else seems to be well made, the clip that locks and unlocks the spinning mop head feels a bit flimsy. If this breaks you will end up with a permanently spinning mop head.Second concern: The mop and bucket need to be used together. There is no alternative wringer for the mop head, so if the bucket or spinny bit of the bucket break the mop becomes less useful. Similarly if the mop breaks the bucket has a spinny thing that you can't use taking up half of the top of it.So, this is a good mop and bucket set, but I have some concerns over its longevity - which is not ideal for something costing almost forty quid.

This is a nice big 20 lt bucket, lots bigger than my old Vileda one. The spinning action for for removing the water from the mop is great, the more you push the mop into the spinner the dryer the mop gets. I thought steam mops were fast drying but this even beats them.I do miss using a good old fashioned mop and bucket as I like to use disinfectant or a floor cleaner which you cannot do with steam mops unless you squirt it onto the floor and then the floor takes ages to dry.The bucket is plastic , sturdy and tough. You do need to be careful when spinning the mop in the bucket though as if put to much pressure the bucket will tip but this is the same with any mopand bucket.I like the fact thatthis mop is flat and you can push the handle down flat to get underneath furniture and obstacles. The handle is also height adjustable. I am sure I have read that this mop head can be washed in the machine to, I know it has a three year guarantee. The mop and bucket set has good reviews in general but when looking to see how much replacement heads were ( £7.99 ) I checked the reviews and they were not good at all so hopefully by the time I need one the problems will have been solved. But I am only reviewing the set and the outcome on this set is positive, I like using it, the floor dries quickly and rather than spreading the dirt like other conventional mops this micro fibre mop holds onto the dirt until you rinse it out.Where the replacement mop head has a three year guarantee the set has a two year guarantee. To sum up I was pleased with the results with this set when I cleaned the floor .

Well it's a mop & bucket - a very expensive one, but still just a mop & bucket. The question is whether it performs so much better than a cheap & cheerful Vileda combo that justify its price.Putting the mop together was straightforward once I figured out that everything is attached by twisting in a counter-clockwise direction. The bucket itself is taller and larger than average so it seems a shame that it is just a single bucket rather than some of the two compartment systems that keep clean and dirty water separate. It also means it may be difficult to fill in a conventional sink (our sink in the utility room is deeper than most and with a very tall tap so it wasn't a problem for us).The mophead is large and the tentacles do seem to do a good job.Again, it took me a little while to figure out how the mop wringing process worked - you have to flick the lever on the handle and then press down on the mop head which spins the head in the wringer. It does leave the mop head quite dry which is good as my kitchen has an engineered wood floor that needs to be mopped with a fairly dry mop. One downside is that the plastic piece on the mophead is quite wide and this means it can't get into some spaces: the toilet in my cloakroom is relatively close to the wall and stands on a wide base so this mop cannot get down the side which is a pain.Overall, it is an expensive set which has some good features and some drawbacks.

This mop is a modern day twist on the traditional mops. It comes in a good sized box and the handle needs to be assembled. It took me ages as the threads were anti-clockwise and not clockwise. Once that was sorted, I had to trim the mop-head as there were several very long un-clipped strands. The mop-head itself is very soft and feels quite delicate, so I'm not too sure how long it would last. We'll have to see. The bucket is large and well made.I poured the water in the bucket (with the cleaner, as I want a fresh clean floor) and dunked in the mop-head into the solution. I then placed the wet mop into the wringing section and with the lock on the handle unlocked,I simply pressed down and the mop-head began to spin and wring itself out. It worked its way over the floor easily and was a much different feel to old fashioned mops. I was hoping it would travel better around the loo and pedestal on the wash basin, but the head is quite wide and it wouldn't fit. It is very good on the main areas though. It rinses out well and dries quickly. So far, not problems with the mop-head and only time will tell if it remains good. I hope so as these aren't cheap mops. I have had other Leifheit products and not had any issues.

When offered this “Leifheit Clean Twist Disc Active Floor Mop, Plastic”, I was keen to try it. Now I have been through various mops searching for one that actually does a good job. I have tried so many ways of cleaning a predominantly wooden floor and tiled floors, and was a little doubtful that this would be any better at cleaning up. The Micro fibre mop head uses a centrifugal spinner to try to give an effective drying experience. As well as eliminating grit and small particles, so that are not returned floor – but retained in the bucket. The mop handle is lightweight; the collapsible handle helps extend your reach, and can be laid flat to go under furniture to clean beneath these items. The whole system is very sturdy too. It is easy to assemble and quick to use, although storing the mop and bucket can be an issue, if space is at a premium at your home. The Micro fibre mop head is absorbent. The cost of the whole unit is somewhat expensive, as the overall benefits of the system are no better than cheaper models that are out there.

A Mop and bucket set in a fetching pale blue colour the picture is pretty accurate. The box this arrived in is surprisingly small not much bigger that the bucket, and quite lightweight, with a similarly sized over-pack box to protect from Amazon. The mop handle comes in two bits with the mop head stored in the mop basket in the bucket, and the cloth head actually in the bucket. The removable mop head is useful as this can be washed easily after use.The mop itself is easy to assemble just screw together the three bits and pull on the microfiber mop head, my only complaint is that for me the handle could be a little longer (I am 6 foot tall) and the handle maybe does not feel as sturdy as I would like .The bucket is a generous size, taller than the bucket it replaces making it difficult to fill in some sinks, and best described as shapely. When full this is quite heavy but as a set this works wringing the mop head well, and the microfiber mop head seems to hold water and dirt well and produces good cleaning results.

Great mop and bucket system!Light weight, easy to use with no strength required to ring the mop like the conventional mop.Can I, dare I say that this was a joy to use? A decent size bucket with smooth lines, comfortable handle, 2-tone colour and a mop which was effortless and efficient to use. It comes well packaged, with the mop in three sections which just screw together, albeit counter-clockwise.Even though the mop is circular, the soft cleaning fibres reach easily into corners. The spin wringer is as easy as using a child's toy spinning top. With a flick of the clip and a few light downward pushes the mop head spins away the excess moisture. This leaves the mop head ready to use without being overall wet.The minimum of effort is required and that is why, in my opinion, it is ideal for the less-abled or the more elderly.I can't recommend this highly enough, 5 stars isn't enough.Must go and mop the floors again!

There is no doubt about it these are the bees knees when it comes to washing floors efficiently. This is my second one due to the mop head on the first one distorting over time. I have noticed that the design of the mop head has been changed so hopefully this issue has now been addressed. Also there is now only one handle which is a definite improvement as there were two on the first model which always seemed to be in the way and also had a habit of coming off. It could do with counter balancing though, because the twist apparatus makes it heavier on one side.My reason for removing one star is that the locking mechanism on the handle is now a very small, very stiff lever, instead of the large chunky one on the old mop. I can't see it lasting the distance.

Literally, there isn't much to say about a mop and bucket, but it does the job, and it does it really well. The mop comes in a lovely turquoise which is nice and bright, and the bucket is about twenty litres. The best part is that the mop handle actually extends, which is a good job really because I'm so extraordinarily tall! Anyway, on with the mop. The mop head twists and glides around the floor, it's easy to get it underneath tiny gaps, and you can pull the mop head off and replace it - dunno what with, mind! I like this product, I think it's going to be a pain to store... silly bucket. But hey. I also agree with the previous reviewer in that it's a bit expensive for what it is,but the bucket seems sturdy enough!

This mop and bucket comes in a big box and is assembled in under a minute. Just remember that the pole screws together anti clockwise! The bucket is very large and made from thick plastic and has the drainer section at one end.The way it works is that you press down on the mop to spin the head which spins the drainer in the bucket. The water and bits fly off and you are left with a damp mop.It works well and is good for wooden floors where you don't want lots of water soaking into the floor. The pole extends for use and the only dodgy bit is the clip which locks it in place. It is solid enough but once it goes the mop won't lock for mopping.I will report back if this happens.Replacement mop heads are here:

Clever mop with a neat spinning action to dry the mop head.NOTE: This took us a while to work out as there are no written instructions, just some pictures on the box (so don't throw it away!)You have to undo the clip in the middle of the handle so that the mop head becomes loose, and then a simple up and down motion causes it to whizz round and spin off the water.Comes with a large (very large!) bucket, so beware if you haven't got much space to store it.Well made solid mop head, which looks as if it will last well

QUALITY=======It's a nice looking and well made mop and bucket. Is it extra special? No. It well boxed but quality wise it's no better than my current well made mop.WELL MADE==========Actually it is very well made. Solid and extremely well constructed in a turquoise colour.INSTRUCTIONS============No. But really? Do you need any? It's very intuitive to put together and the mop's circular with a hole in the middle underneath, with high quality microfibre. Replacement mop heads are here:
