A challenging build for my son who spent a whole week putting it together on his own. He was entertained for hours and after building it he was entertained for more! The instructions were clear (as all LEGO toy instructions are) which allowed him to do it y himself. The final product was solid and well-designed. The tracks work very well on a rough surface. However, they just slide on a wooden floor. The only problem with this is that the crate attached to the crane cannot be stored on the back easily as it can easily fall off. Even though I would still recommend.

Item bought as a Christmas present for my grandson. Box not opened so unable to advise on this specifically. What I can say about these construction toys is that he loves them. Gets started on building them as soon as the parcel is opened and depending on complexity has them built before we leave or by the next day. Every time we ask what would he like for birthday or Christmas the answer is always the same Lego technics. His younger brother has now started to ask for this toy as well.

Ingnore all bad comments about this Lego build, its brilliant. Really worth the money!Great suspension and really big! What more does a kid want from a massive, tracked truck?! Much better value than other products, like 'Chima' and 'Minecraft', mostly because of the number of pieces that come with the set! Over 900 pieces to keep younger ones busy for a couple of hours or so, with a couple more added to build a addition vehicle (instructions on Lego.com/technic) .Jude, aged 11

Cost of motor really overpriced its not a good policy to sell seperatly to make profits which put people off buying if i had bought together then i may have been taken in, but this is so unfair to your regular customers

An "alright" model - bought primarily for parts but in the built form is not a great model to play with - the tracks/steering system are a little stiff/awkward, especially on carpet.

Excellent Lego set which I bought for my 30 year old brother, and he loves it. Took around 4 hours to make, very impressive set when completed.

I bought this for my 13yo son. He had a great time making it. Everything you'd expect from a Lego Technic kit.

Perfect gift for Christmas. Just remember the second instructions are online not in box so calamity averted.

It is a good set, but just that.There is nothing special about it, no interesting gears or mechanisms.
