I bought this for someone as a gift and was present when he assembled it. It's great to look at, but can be fragile when handled.The UCS series is meant more for display than play, and this one is a prime example. Small bits snap off easily when you don't want them to. The large dog-legged shaped side panels include smaller pop-out panels to reveal weapons, but opening the small ones is finicky. The large ones are only attached at two points and they often want to move instead. Strangely, these large panels have a piece on the bottom of each that is perfect for snapping to an interior piece to retain them, even with the angle they meet the base of the craft, but no sich interior structure exists.

This is quite possibly my favorite Lego build I have ever done. The inner workings of this build include moving parts (Rotate it from sitting to upright and it adjusts the wings by itself!) a lot of gears and a well designed solid construction when completed. Over 2000 parts, and it feels like they could have brought that number down by using larger pieces rather than combining smaller ones to make the same thing. This is a serious build. Lots of fun!

Amazing set... Really! A must have. The color scheme is among the best I have ever seen from Lego and we have a LOT of sets in our home. Interesting build too. It is very big once completed so you will need a big shelf to display this model. Highly recommended.

the sides only open up with disassembly and the stand doesn't hold the model without falling (so doesn't work at all), otherwise, great... Oh. and the kit delivered 4 wrong parts, (wrong sizes), so there was that.. maybe this is a 3.5..

Beautiful, beautiful set. Really, this looks immaculate on my shelf and it a wonderful addition to any collection, even if you don't collect lego and are just a Star Wars fan.

Package arrived on time and in great condition (unopened and all parts as expected). This was a great present for my boyfriend as he loves the original Star Wars Lego sets.

Flawless! Gave this as a gift to my 40 year old brother. The completed project is a great addition to his massive Star Wars collection. Well worth the price.
