We are really pleased with this Y-wing fighter. Not only is it good for display given the interesting and movie-accurate colour scheme. It is even better for play, as the completed model is sturdy but also due to several features of the fighter itself AND the strong selection of mini-figures included. Of course there is an opening cockpit, foldable landing gear and the obligatory spring-loaded shooters. More interesting are the 3 bombs that can be dropped by twisting a wheel on the back of the fighter. But there is also a the hatch in the back where the Astromech droid fits in.The built of this 578 piece-set was not much of a challenge for our 6-year old brick expert and it took him about 2 hours.Little interference from my side was required. However I assisted him with the fair amount of stickering, given that most are quite distinctive and visible on the outside, so this required some more steady hands. Also the 8 struts that need to assembled at the end are a little tedious.Note that the Amazon product listing page says that the sets included 6 mini figures, - this is incorrect!; there is only one First Order Stormtrooper included rather than two as suggested. Hence the total of figures included is 5. Yet the selection of figures is excellent. Poe Dameron, Zorii Bliss and a First Order Stormtrooper, plus D-O and an Astromech droid. So this is one of the two sets that will give you the Zorri Bliss figure (the other one being the small 75263 micro fighter version of this set). The caped First Order stormtrooper figure is a welcome addition as our children never have enough of stormtroopers and we didn’t have this variant yet. Poe is perhaps least interesting but we didn’t have a Poe and this Rise of Skywalker version is pretty causal and cool, it fits well in our Pasaana Speeder Chase set where we have joined him with Rey and Chewie. The turquoise-coloured Astromech droid is curious and very interesting because of its appearance, though I haven’t figured out its name/code. But most importantly, our children’s favourite, D-O droid is included - he has been past of many exciting adventures yet.Even though tis is a slightly smaller scale than most Lego Star Wars fighters, this Y-wing looks great in our growing collection of Lego Star Wars vehicles. We didn’t have a Y-wing yet. And this fighter, once completed looks really nice with its red colouring and small part details. And like so many more recent Lego Star Wars models, there are not too many studs visible on the exterior. So it makes a great model and toy.All in all, a set that s very rich in interesting figures, that displays well and offers good play value.

I've been keen on adding a Y Wing to my Star Was Lego collection for some time but couldn't really justify the brilliant collectors set version. When this came up, an affordable but still good looking version, based on the new Y Wing for the Rise of Skywalker, I was really happy to get hold of it.It's not a huge set but is pretty decent value for the price, nearly 600 pieces and 4 mini figures (including a brand new character called Zorii Bliss). The build was good fun and a relaxing way to spend a few hours whilst pottering. The finished set looks great and adds nicely to the collection.

This is a great model. For those who don’t mind getting a Y-Wing from the latest trilogy instead of the nostalgic classic yellow, this is a great set. The construction is solid, and follows the trends of the last few years of Lego models—lots of smaller pieces to create outstanding detail. I am continually impressed. My only complaint is that the pilot has a generic black head instead of a character face underneath the helmet. We all know what Kerri Russell looks like. Wouldn’t have been that hard, in my opinion.

It has spring loaded shooters and a bomb drop function which is very robust at the turn of a wheel The cockpit fits in a mini figure which gives hours of endless play and sparks the imagination. The set itself includes large but also more Intricate pieces for a sophisticated build which will hold attention for hours and hours. Included In this set is three minifigures and a Lego Droid. Good value for money and endless opportunities for play and a good set to include in your collection .

Took around 5 hours to build this as all very small parts & fiddly. Aged 8 on the box but I personally think this will be a struggle and need adult help. As always the instructions are set out nicely. However, as most of the main build is light grey it can be hard to work out which part goes where when attaching to the body of the ship. Would of been better if the instructions showed the piece in a different colour showing where to place.Overall quality is excellent and a must for collectors.

My son and I are big Star Wars fans and thought this Lego set would be ideal. No sooner had we started building it before my daughter took over and was soon engrossed despite not been a fan of either. It is of the usual high standard of other Lego sets. Only issue I had was that some parts were in the wrong bags and the instructions could be a bit vague for anyone not into Lego. It says age 8 plus but some younger ones may struggle. However definitely one for Star Wars and Lego fans

My 12 year old LEGO fan loves it. He always has a lot of fun playing with the Star Wars sets but he says this one is one of his favorites. He had a lot of fun building it and thought it was fairly straightforward to put together. He really loves all the features and ways to play with it.  He loves the minifigs which are a great addition to the set. This Y-Wing Starfighter has been a huge hit with my son and he hasn’t stopped playing with it. This is sure to be a hit with any LEGO fan

The Lego Star Wars: Y-wing Starfighter Set is another must have for any star wars fan! The Y-wing is a star fighter that has been used since the clone wars. The newer models such as the X-wing and A-wing wont compare to the contributions in dogfights and bombings of this fighter. This model was fun to build with while spending some time with my daughter. I recommend this set for anyone who are either a fan of star wars or just enjoys building sets from Lego.

Having been brought up with lego star wars sets, I was delighted to receive this set. It was fun and joyful to build. The bags are labeled 1-4 to make it easier to find the pieces. It has plenty of extra features. The bomb hatch is fantastic and the firing missile was something I've never seen in a lego set before and was great. The build took about 1 hour and takes a proud spot in my room. The finished model is larger then expected.

So excited! I love Star Wars and Lego, the new Y-wing Starfighter can fulfil both interests.Like a usual boxed set Lego, it comes with different parts bags and an instruction booklet.Quality-wise, it's good as usual. It makes good activity to do with my son as we both share the same interests. This new Y- wing Starfighter makes a cool gift to any Star Wars fans, especially those loves Poe!

This model was bought as a present for my son (age 17), who has rediscovered his love of Lego due in part to the hype surrounding the release of the new Star Wars film.Bang up to date in representing a fighter from the film, it presented no difficulty for him during construction, but might perhaps be more challenging for younger children. A good all-round buy.

Went down very well and scored me tons of favourite uncle points. Parents annoyed though as I have started a trend of expensive Lego Star Wars demands and they were trying to avoid that. Oh well. I give it 5 children with lofty Christmas present expectations out of 5.

This is an excellent build, my household is obsessed with Star Wars so had a lot of fun putting the resistance fighter together. The instructions were pretty straightforward to follow but manageable. Looks great and good quality
