This is a realistic set with an excellent price-per-piece, but both cars, especially the I-pace eTROPHY, rely on stickers way too much. It would be GREAT if some stickers covered multiple pieces. Now, to make this review easier to read I will divide it into 2 sections: the first is about the F1, the second is about the I-pace eTROPHY.The F1 has a low piece count for a speed champions set and looks a lot like the real thing. Well, counting out the fenders. I noticed that the front bumpers are flimsy and fall off when you play with the model. Lego did a good job getting the big holes in the body, just like on the real thing. Lego also scored on the color scheme, but the stripe on the side is a bit lumpy.Also, it would be great if Lego covered up a few more studs. This car is a great display model. When you look at the I-pace eTROPHY, it is a big model and a fun build, but it doesn't seem as curvy and sleek as the real thing. and when you look in the back window, you do not see a back seat, but you do see a bunch of ugly studs. Also, the spoiler seems too thick. There are nearly 50 stickers on the model, and many require precise lining up to others, so it would be great if some stickers covered multiple pieces. However, the stickers do make the model way more realistic. On the bright side, the model's color looks excellent and the stripes are consistent, too.If you like fairly realistic sets or great deals, this is the set for you. If you love curves or hate stickers, try the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger set.

Amazing replica Lego set of Formula E Panasonic Jaguar racing GEN2 car and the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY.Packaged well. Arrived in a really brilliantly designed, cardboard box.Fairly easy to put together, took just under two hours to do it all. There are five bags all numbered and two manuals. You have your DIY stickers also to put on the cars.Initially you build the Panasonic Jaguar, this is insanely detailed. It is a fantastic replica of the actual car itself. This is easy to fit a character in. You build the 1st guy too, he wears a black racing suit, you get a removable helmet, hair piece and also a spanner.Secondly, you build the Jaguar I-PACE, this is just as incredibly detailed as the first.This is easy enough to get the character in, it doesn't have a door, but the windscreen lifts off pretty easy, it's also easy to put back on. You build the lady racer to go with this car. She comes in a white suit and has a removable helmet and hair piece.Lastly you build the Start/Finish line. This has the red, amber and green lights. These can be put away, and they can drop one by one, by a sliding stick.I think this set is incredible, I would recommend it. Fantastic, movable, well known Jaguar racing cars with ready set go lights. Easy to build, fun to race.

Probably a groundbreaking set, as electric race cars are fairly new and I doubt there are many models on the market yet. In theory it’s aimed at kids, but I suspect it will be irresistible to adult racing fans. The latter may be more interested in displaying the models rather than playing with them, and the start line gantry provides a good focus for this.The box contains five bags of parts, with over 550 parts in total – sounds a bit daunting, but if you follow the instructions with patience it goes well. There is a separate set of instructions for each car, clear and detailed enough to avoid confusion as to which parts are for which car. The most fiddly part is putting on the stickers; you could leave them off,but the cars would look less authentic; a deciding factor may be whether you are building the cars for display or play, as kids playing with them increases the risk of stickers coming off.The detailing is superb, down to the removable helmets for the drivers. The build standard is all you would expect from a Lego set. The cars move freely, so they are ideal for play.It took me about three hours to build them – something different to do during lockdown. I’m sure my grandson will have plenty of fin with them.

A beautifully presented 564 piece LEGO set comprising of 5 bags of LEGO pieces with 2 instruction manuals. Suitable for children 8 years plus under adult supervision. The kit builds two cars plus a starting line with lights and two mini figure racing drivers, male and female, are included.Measurements are approximately;Jaguar I-PACE etrophy; 2 inch/6 cm high x 6 inch/16 cm long x 2 inch/6 cm wide.Jaguar Racing Generation; 7 inch/8 cm long x 2 inch/5 cm high.The start line; 10 inch/26 cm wide x 4 inches/11 cm high.Plenty of instructions included but the smaller size pieces make this quite tricky to assemble and it took me at least a couple of hours. Once assembled,this is a great toy and comes complete with more or less everything younger children need, including light effects, before they move onto larger, more complicated sets. Both cars look great and move at rapid pace. The wheels are top notch and roll smoothly without bumps or judders to take the cars off course.More than happy with the presentation, overall quality, instructions and appearance of the completed set and even happier with how much my nephew and his friend love to race the cars around the house.

With two boys, who have different characters and wishes, it's not easy to find literally anything they could play together and not get into a fight. Apparently, this LEGO set is ideal for them. One loves building blocks and construction, the other prefers cars to any possible toy.As expected, the younger one was not interested in assembling process, so we spend quality time with the elder kid, building those speed champions Jaguars. Assembly was pretty much straightforward: 2 manuals included, pieces come in different bags, all numbered. The result is Wow. Both cars are beautiful (my favourite colour), bigger than I thought, and you can put drivers' mini figures inside.I did not actually expect much from the cars in terms of racing as LEGO is, first of all, you know, bricks building process... However, those cars exceeded both, mine and my younger racer's expectations. Wheels run smoothly. Brilliant. Lots of time spent playing together, and not fighting. Very happy.I think the price is fair. You get several toys in one and different fun: building and racing.For all LEGO and cars racing fans - must have. This would have been an amazing gift as well.

The ‘LEGO 76898 Speed Champions Formula E Panasonic Jaguar Racing Generation 2 car and Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY Race Cars Set’ is brilliant and perfect for anyone (aged eight plus) who loves Lego and fast cars.Fortunately, my eight year old nephew loves both Lego and fast cars, and he was absolutely thrilled to receive it, despite having never seen Formula E. He built both cars in about an hour and a half, and they now have pride of place on his bedroom windowsill.The set has over 500 different parts, but each car is fairly easy to build. The hardest part is bending the halo on the e-racer in place and affixing all the stickers...and there are a lot of stickers!Once complete each car measures about 6 inches long and features lots of nice detailing, which makes them perfect for displaying.The addition of the starting line with interactive drop down lights is clever and great for fuelling the imagination. Overall, a well designed set with a great level of detail, which will provide hours of fun.

I want to start my review by saying I bought this set to be displayed as models, rather than played with. This would be perfectly great to play with, so I figured it wouldn't be fair to give three stars for my little gripes that wouldn't be important for most people buying this set. I really like the Formula E build. It's probably my favorite out of the entire Speed Champions line. Bravo to the designer for fitting so many small details and fun building techniques. However, the coupe is a different story for me. I appreciate the move to 8 width as the cars have much better proportions, but now the wheels look way too small. And this car is boxy. Really boxy.The window line and roof make it look more like an SUV than a sports car. No question though that the front end is the best part. If I could only look at it from that angle I'd be more than satisfied.

The NEW 2020 Speed Champion range of models is now 25% bigger!!!This make the models more life like and a much better representation of what the actual vehicles are like!The best part is now the models are large enough to take 2 mini-figures inside the cabin of standard style cars, although the single seat cars are still single seat.New parts have been designed for this new range of models including the way the wheels connect. The new wheel connection method is actually better, as the wheels on the models now roll more smoothly and freely.You will see from my photo's I have included the McLaren Senna (model 75892) from 2019 as a guide to how much larger the new models are.As with all things Lego,these are great toy's for kids or models for display depending on what your preference is.

This Lego set from Lego’s Speed Champions range won’t disappoint you. The set include two colourful Jaguar e-racing cars, two driver minifigures and a start line. Quality and easy-to-read instructions is what you would expect from Lego. This is the kind of set your kids will love to put together and play afterwards. The speed champions range from Lego is one of the funniest ones; emulating real world cars! but I found this set in particular to be even better because it comes with two cars and the size of them is very good, slightly bigger than some other cars from this range adding an extra value to this set.If your children like Lego and cars this set is definitely a no-brainer choice and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

This is definitely one for car fans, as it's detailed and there are lots and lots and lots of small pieces. The set is for 8+ but with supervision, a 6-7yo could easily make a start on this.It's pretty decent value for money with its 565 pieces, compared to some sets, and this was right up hubby's street. It's a pretty unisex set that seems to be endorsed by Jaguar, and I liked seeing the female driver. There are 5 bags and instructions, so there's no way to mess up the individual parts. It's sturdy enough for kids to play with, as well as being detailed enough for a collector to appreciate.Word of warning - the stickers are very sticky and a little tricky to apply,so kids may need help with this.

I've collected a few Speed Champions models in the past, and I was excited to see the upgrade to 8 studs wide. It was definitely a good choice from Lego, as it allows the cars to incorporate a lot more detail. The I-Pace looks good for an SUV (I've seen some complaints about it looking like one when it is in real life), and the design for the front is really clever. The light sequence is a nice touch, but the design for the stand isn't unique in itself. The Formula E car looks very accurate and was a fun build, but I think there was a missed opportunity for a Jaguar team truck like the Scuderia Ferrari Truck in the first wave of Speed Champions.

I love the colors of this set. Build was fun and really liked the front end build of the car. I only have to little nit picks one being that I would have liked the white helmet to be the same color blue as the cars and that the car feels and looks like an SUV instead of a car. I wish there was a way to work this out as some of the other Speed Champion cars have had similar problems of being to boxy. Over all a great set and I have received a lot of compliments from people that see the cars displayed on top of my entertainment center.

let's start with the Formula E. It was a hard one because when you get to the front wing i messed up so i had to go back and fix it. When I got to the thing that goes over the wheel I screwed up on it and had to restart. Then when i built it again it was easy so i finished the Formula E in 1 day. Only one complaint about the Formula E was the halo it was hard to put it on the car because i had to bend it into those pieces to finish. now the big car it was easy built it in 30 minutes with no problem. go buy it right now

The product itself is great and great value for money, HOWEVER, I ordered the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R Race Car and 1968 Chevrolet Corvette and received this instead. It is a new product and was surprisingly discounted by 10% so I placed an order immediately. The order itself was changed by Amazon with no notification. I have screenshots to show what was ordered.Let's see if this makes it through scrutiny.Very disappointing and will look at ordering Lego items from elsewhere in the future.

This has been such a lifeline for us during lockdown. We have spent quality time together putting these together over a period of days as a rest from home schooling. I know it says 8+ but the 6 year old is Lego mad and it was certainly a set that he was happy to attempt and really did enjoy it. It’s a quality product and the end result looks brilliant and we enjoyed the time spent at the table together whilst creating our masterpieces! Definitely a life saver for kids stuck at home at the moment.
