When I was a child I was more into Meccano than Lego, but that was a long time ago. Our children loved playing with Duplo, then moved onto Lego when they were older. We still had a huge container of Lego upstairs, but that was purloined by our grandchildren when they discovered the joys of the bricks and their endless possibilities.This set is as good as always, well made and robust, and will serve your family well for many years, providing some care is taken with a few of the pieces. The age range is slightly off-target, but each family is different and there may be some teenagers who enjoy playing with it. I think that under 10s would enjoy this the most as they have the best imagination.

This is a great lego set - lego is reliably a good build with good quality products - yes some are harder and arguably better designed than others - but you pretty much know what you are getting with the brand and it all feels good quality.This set seems expensive I thought on the surface but lego isn't cheap - and when this plane build comes out the packet I was surprised and happy how much there was to do and that it had lots of pieces.The prices look so interesting as well - many detailed and technical looking bits - this is very detailed and no simplistic design.There are shine to some pieces it seemed- and the touches of black and yellow gave good splashes of colour.The plane was size

Welcome to the world of Lego Ninjango...a world that is relatively new to me! What you get here is an unassembled mantra ray bomber for the character Cole. It says aged 7-14 but I assembled it with a 6 year old and it all went well. I had to help them but it was a fun activity together. I'm not sure how many 14 year olds would be into this - seems more for younger boys (rather than girls - Ninjango seems to have more appeal boys). On the one hand the fact these products are tied in with things like TV shows takes away some of the imaginative lego fun I had as a child with a big box of random bricks. However, to someone like our 6 year old who is familiar with Ninjango,

I quite liked this set when I saw it, but the RRP felt a bit high considering the relatively low level of detail in the set.Then Amazon drops the price to 15.99 and it becomes a more attractive proposition. Main build is decent, good size and play value if lacking in features. Front end of the ray is well done, I like the silliness and slightly pointless design that is typical of the shark army.Good figures, Cole doesn't feature in a lot of sets (compared to Kai and Zane) and this is the cheapest one he is in. Shark Army Great White is hard to get separately, so nice to add him to our collection of bad guys.Not a super exciting set, not on par with the Jelly Sub, but good and at 15.99 hard to pass up.

Lego has come a long way since i was a kid. Then you could only buy basic building blocks. This set is fantastic. Not only do you get to build the bomber, but you get 4 figures all included which lends itself to highly imaginative play. There are 341 pieces in total in this set so will take a few hours for your little one to put together unless of course you decide to do it yourself, but this kinda defeats the purpose.You can actually shoot 2 mini laser stick things, the top bit detaches into a boat that actually floats so this can be also used in the bath, however getting them out when they are playing with this proved to be quite the challenge:)I am thoroughly impressed with this set,

This is a fairly standard Lego set in that it uses compatible parts with all other Lego, but features enough unique pieces that you want to keep it separate from the big Lego box that collects all the smaller kits over time.It's easy to build (my 7 year old child enjoyed it) but the main appeal here is the pretend-play that follows. From that perspective this is more a toy for boys than girls, and features various characters they can spend hours creating adventures with.As kits go, it's a very easy one to build and I think there's lots of fun here. The price is also pretty good.In fact the only question I'd raise is the age group...

A really nice model reminiscent of the movie - there were several of these features in it. My 7 year old son and I were able to construct it in just under an hour. It has a lot of nice little aesthetic touches. The only minor point of concern is that - because of the large wings - it is a little on the fragile side, so when playing with it, it's not uncommon that one of them may become detached. It's more something to be looked at and admired. Would have been nice if it had come with some kind of aerial stand, so it could be mounted like one of the old Airfix kit plane models. We really enjoyed making this.

Reasonably priced (Lego kits can cost an arm and a leg these days) this is also a fun and easy to assemble kit. Lots of small fiddly parts are included (unlike the old days), assembly is nevertheless pretty easy thanks to the simple to follow instructions. My big reservation about Lego these days is that the small parts mean that disassembly is much harder than it used to be, so once the kits are made that’s pretty much it. The fun for me always used to be in making up stuff myself, not following instructions. Nevertheless, this is a fun kit and relatively easy to assemble compared to some other kits.

Excellent service & gift for my grandson! He was so excited & happy to receive this for Christmas....& insisted on showing me all it's construction details & exactly how it works........for half an hour! I'm happy he had such a brill pressie tho. And have to say, once constructed, it was strong, fired bullets, did everything it was supposed to do .....& delighted my boy! Age range gives 7-14 & I purchased for my autistic grandson who is over 12 - a 7yr old might need help from older/adult enthusiast to assemble. But it's worth it! Thank you to supplier for excellent service & product

I really like the manta ray bomber toy, it consists of two different packages, one being a plane, and the other being a boat, which comes with a few extras including 4 lego characters, so for the money, you do get a lot! I wouldn't say it is appropriate for an 8 year old to put together alone so I would definitely recommend an adult to be there to help with the tricky bits. I had a lot of fun with it, the two models look great and are a must have for any lego enthusiast.Nice, simple instructions to follow, and great fun for a family activity.?

We bought this for my eldest for his birthday, he'd seen the movie and love it. The model is really good, my son had fun building it and has played with it a lot, what more could you want, very happy.

This was on the Christmas wish list so happy to get it as a deal. Grandson very pleased with it though the instructions are too small for me be much help with the assembly.

Looks good. Bought for nephew as a christmas present and my son is tryign to convince me to let him have it instead - so muct look good! Great for lego mad Ninjago fans
