My son is Ninjago crazy and he loves the brand new series that has just started last week on television. He is still a young builder and so whilst he can build a lot of the older standard sets, he does sometimes need help with them whereas with the Juniors sets he can build pretty much the whole set by himself (he does sometimes still need a little help) and he loves the independence of being able to do so. We have a few of the new Ninjago sets (and a heap of the older ones that we have bought over the years!) and he loves the Sons of Garmadon theme on this seasons sets. As a parent I love how Lego seem to be expanding and making more of these easier Juniors sets for younger builders.AgeSuitability:-This set is aimed at children between 4 and 7 years old and as with other Juniors sets it comes with some larger pieces to make the build easier. My Son had no problem building the set by himself.Figures:-The set comes with 2 mini figures; Zane and Chopper Maroon.Parts:-The set has the main build for Zane's boat, a Temple build and also Chopper's Bike to be built.This is a great set and my Son loved building it. He is desperate to play with the boat in water as unlike the majority of Lego boats this one will float and so I think there may be a bathside scene being set up shortly for him to whizz the boat through the water and this as got to be the main bonus with this smaller set. The Temple is small but I think the main play value in the set is the boat and bike and my Son has now integrated this set with his others. Another brilliant Juniors set from Lego.Difference Between Juniors Sets & Standard Lego Sets:-The only difference between the Juniors sets and the standard sets is that the Juniors sets include more pre-built larger pieces such as rather than your child build a wall fully with maybe 20 or so bricks, the Juniors sets will have one big piece. They also tend to come with pre-printed bricks rather than a separate sticker sheet and this means no fiddly sticker adhesion for your child and no upset child if like my children they want to have put the stickers on straight and get upset if they can't manage it.I can confirm that the Juniors Lego is fully compatible with the standard sized Lego as in they have the same size studs and holes to connect to each other which means that even when your child progresses fully onto the standard size sets that they can still re-use and connect their Junior pieces. Duplo sets are not the same size and are intended for really young builders

My 6 year old son is a huge Ninjago and Lego fan and was very keen to get stuck into this set. Inside the box are two bags, one for the boat and one for the temple. There are two figures - Zane and Chopper Maroon. As this is a Juniors set (simple build), it came with a ready-built boat piece that just needed its bells and whistles attaching. This was a definite plus point for my son, who enjoys building, but is always keen to finish and play with the end result. The temple is quite similar to other Ninjago temple builds, but my son loved the spinning snake defences. For quite a simple set, the builds are well-chosen and we had a good play following an enjoyable build. Thumbs up!

This is another great Lego Ninjago set. It is aimed primarily at children (probably boys) between the ages of 4 and 7 who are into the TV programme which heads up the franchise. 4 - 5yr olds will require help to build the set's components which include Zane's boat, a small Temple and Chopper's Bike. Older kids no doubt will enjoy the building as much as the ongoing play. The boat floats so playing with it in the bath is a must do activity. If you don't mind constantly picking up little bits of Lego from every corner of the house this is a great little gift at a reasonable price.

Our 6 year old loves Ninjago (the film is constantly on our DVD player) and also Lego so this is a perfect combination. It’s aimed at ages 4-7 although I’m sure older kids would enjoy it too. There’s not much in the way of construction with this being a junior set but we were okay with that. We get more complex Lego products that we build together whereas this one was more for her to open and use by herself. You actually get quite a bit for your money including two of the characters. Another winner from Lego for us!

Suitable for all ages over 3 yrs (because of some small parts), although aimed at children.The boat is in one piece, so floats well.Although entitled as a junior set, it is the same standard Lego fit, so will work with any other Lego set.This consists of three 'sets' - the boat, a motorcycle (very simple to build from a handful of parts) and a temple. Two Ninja characters are included.An entertaining set for younger minds and a good price.

You can't go wrong with Lego. Its been around for years and brought hours of fun to many kids and I think adults also lol. This is a nice set where you can pretend to be your favorite ninja. Lots of items to build to feed the imagination and hours of fun. Added to another set or more than one set would be great. Not suitable for under 4 years as there are lots of small bits and and would not be safe.

This set is quite easy to build, with some cool features, my 7 year old did it independently quite quickly and enjoyed playing with it afterwards. It is one of his favourite ninjago sets and he found it really cool. It is a good size, as plenty to play with but much easier to build than the very large sets

Zane's Ninja boat pursuit is great for youngsters starting off in the world of Lego. This is an easy build and highly enjoyable. This set includes Zane and Chopper Maroon figure. It looks good and actually very detailed for a Juniors Lego build.Nice build and looks nice, ideal for Lego Ninjago fans..

Acquired for a Ninjago mad 8 year old son who usually makes more complex Lego sets. He was still delighted with this set, particularly the boat and the mini figures. Less time to build equals more time to play so if your little' un is a fan of Lloyd, Zane and Garmadon then he or she should enjoy this.

Like it says on the box this is easy to build, so although it says up to seven, if they're anything like my seven year old who seems to be able to do the sets aimed at 13 year olds, then this will be a bit too simple. That said, if they are younger and ninjago mad - this is a great set!

Oh Lego....how I love you!This is easy to build and has lots of uses...a boat...a motorbike....its a good set for ages 7 and up....Good quality and will give hours of fun....from the building of it to the playing with it....Nice set...easy to build....

Aimed at younger children (4-7 years) to get them 'hooked' on Lego. As always clear instructions and not too difficult, so boredom, won't set in too quickly when building. The boat actually floats so there is added fun there.
